I've been apart of this company for 3 years and I do not like the discrimination against black people. The white people always take the good stuff and I always have to fight the old women for the good stuff. Like my butterfly planner I got just a while ago. If you are that old lady that I snatched it from. I really like the planner :). Also the fairies are very racially motivated. You guys expect me to buy only white fairies:? There are black fairies too yk. It's 2022 and you guys still don't have respect! That's not cute. I always have to say they are albino. I don't always want albino fairies. Sometimes I just want midnight black chocolate fairies. Big purr.
Your supporting china! Not AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTION! Disappointed overall with staff, pricing, floral department was awful. They don't take coupons now! But still buying from CHINA!
I have been to Hobby Lobby in Fairfield, CA twice in the last week. Both times, I've waited in line, patiently. The first time, once the customer in front of me completed their transaction, I moved toward the register. The cashier at the register placed a "closed" sign right before I placed my 2 items on the conveyor belt.
I then asked "you're closed now?"
He said one word…"yeah."
There was only one other cashier checking people out and I had to go to the end of that long line after waiting in line for the now closed register.
I thought to myself, "ok, no big deal…they are just short handed right now."
On my 2nd trip to return one of the items I purchased, there was one cashier and I counted 7 people in front of me. Eventually, another cashier came to a register and began having people shift over from the line I was in. Since I was 2nd in line, I stayed put. Now there were many people behind me and many people in line at the newly opened register.
It was finally my turn and I placed my item on the belt. I told the cashier I had a return.
He said, "I don't do returns. You have to get in line at register 4."
I asked where register 4 was and he pointed to the long line I didn't move to when it opened. I asked why there wasn't a sign for returns or a separate customer service desk. He shrugged his shoulders and began helping the customer behind me.
Fantastic items but customer service leaves me thinking, if I go there again, I'd better not have any appointments or time crunches. I don't know how it is every day but my 2 recent experiences will probably dissuade me from going again, unless I have a lot of time on my hands.
To be fair, I should mention during my first visit, the person who helped me in the fabric section was extremely helpful and friendly.
I ordered a gift card online way before Christmas. It was never delivered despite them taking the money from my bank account. When I called customer service to get the card resent or get my money back, I was told that they never withdrew the money and it's just a temporary hold my bank placed in the money. Based on my bank statement, this is false. She also stated that I didn't complete the process and blamed the delay on me. The representative was rude and unhelpful. It's so disappointing for a company that wants to claim to have Christian values, to scam their customers and then behave rudely when someone wants to fix a problem. Unfortunately, now I have to order a gift for my nephew from somewhere else, dispute charges through my bank and generally spend my time fixing their error.
I love Hobby Lobby but Can you start selling gemstone chip beads? I made a tree of life with those and I had a friend help me put it on a silicone phone case with super glue. She sent me home with the rest of the super glue that she had. It was half a tube. She took it home with her and she glued it on. I took it off because it was over to the side a little bit. I glued it back on and it seems to stick but I still need more super glue. Anyway what this has to do with the tree of life phone case is that it is sticking for now but I'm worried that it's going to fall off now that I took it off. So I might need to start over. Which I need more gemstone chip beads. Can you sell them in 5-8mm and 2-4mm. That would be very very VERY helpful
When I got my mirror part of it was broken. I call the online order department they fist said to take pictures and email them and I did. It took about 3 days for respond from them. Lobby hobby online said they couldn't see my emails so I resent the pictures again so I waited another 2days but I decided to call them before the third day and they said they still did not receive my emails of the picture of the mirror broken but anyways I will never ever buy anything from lobby hobby online bad service they never gave me back my mirror they wanted me to send it back which I think it was OK to do but I had to pay for the return it's a mess be careful you guys buy things online from lobby hobby I think they did it on purpose so they don't send me my mirror instead they offered to give me a 10% of my broken mirror and I did not get my full refund
I accidentally bought a gc from them online. I realised I bought the wrong one and contacted them right after I bought it. As per their "Takes 1- 2 days to process" They told me it shipped out already. I asked if I could return it for a refund as I am on Social security and limited income and have no use for it. I was told no!
What a greedy company trying to get what they can and not interested in making a customer happy! I am so upset as now I have a $75 GC I can't use or have anyone to give it to. Thanks Hobby Lobby for making a 70 yr old on a limited budget lose money! Hopefully with all these bad reviews you will lose more customers and the lousy $75 sale loses you 100x's more! I will never recommend your store! There is nothing in writing that says "No return on gift cards"!
Went to get in line and it looked like the entrance to Disney Land! Found a shorter line but the cashier said she was closed despite at least 100 people in 5 separate lines with little to no movement. This was ridiculous! Manager said they were at staff capacity while she sorted through baskets of coat hangers while the customers melted down! Called another manager and he acknowledged the situation and said thank you! Got to the register and they have no price scanner, literally reading prices off items and punching in the numbers! The cashier had no energy, urgency and didn't even say hello! I was beside myself... it was like Zombie Land! To top it off they play mundane music that makes you want to lay down and take a nap! The word drained was the only way to describe it! Felt like I escaped prison once out the door. Just awful, will never go back ever!
Went in today to pickup one item. Grabbed it real quick and went to the registers. Very busy. I picked the register closest to the door and knew when I did that the customer in front of me had 2 carts of merchandise. He apologized etc. Told him not to worry, take your time, don't rush and damage anything etc. We joked that I knew exactly what I was doing getting behind his family instead of all of the other long lines. Anyway, they were all done and cashier was wrapping the last of their items, 3 nutcrackers. 2 were wrapped with 1 in a bag, 1 on the counter, and 1being wrapped. I placed my 1 small item at the very end of the counter and my purse to the right of it to take out payment. To help move things fast since the lines were so long. The register I was at, now had a lot of people behind me. As I was taking my payment out, the cashier tells me to remove my things and that she still needs her counter. NO she didn't, she was done, finishings wrapping the last nutcracker and bagging them. I told her I wasn't taking her counter, finished removing my payment, picked up my purse and waited. She was so rude. I love hobby lobby. But I will complain about her and avoid her at all costs. Her rudeness wasn't necessary at all.
Chico customer service is awful. Items not on sale placed on sale tables with signs but not honored. Manager was very rude. I won't be shopping here again.
I placed an online order the end of August. It shipped on September 3. I called Federal Express about my order and was told it was lost. I called Hobby Lobby and received a full refund! It was agreed that if I received the order I would let them know. I just received this order today October 13 with 2 pieces missing. I called Hobby Lobby to settle my account, I mentioned the missing items and my total due included only what I received! How can I not be absolutely thrilled at customer service like this! Thank You Hobby Lobby!
Do not bother going to hobby lobby for Halloween decor. I found other stores, will never go there again

Hobby Lobby is always organized and stocked. I love order and their store is laid out perfectly. The staff is always knowledgeable and able to address my questions. I love the variety that the store carries. They have such nice displays that really help me picture what I could do with the products.
I went into Hobby lobby today to make some purchases and I noticed a big section that was marked 50% off unfortunately for me I did not read the small print and coordinate it with the tags of the items that were on the shelf under the sign that stated 50% off. Why do you think it is OK to put a big sign labeling 50% off if it's not 50% off? Consumers do not know to look at tags and line them up with a 50% off label and see if it's table Decour or if it's a gift item or holiday item we don't know any of this therefore if it is in an area that is 50% off then we should get 50% off. You guys are ripping your customers off because you know the average customer will not ask to take an item off if they don't have enough money to pay because it's embarrassing how dare you do this to individual shopping at your stores. Trust me I will be on all social media platforms expressing how are you seal money from your consumers.

I came to Hobby Lobby to purchase a frame for a BraveHearts Flag not knowing exactly what to do. When I went back to the framing area, I call out to an associate for assistance who was already engaged working in the backroom. Associate Elizabeth G., stopped what she was doing and asked, "how may I assist sir."?
I had my flag in hand and when I explained what it was for and what I had in mind, she was extremely helpful in helping select the right frame and explaining the various ways in could be presented. I also had the pleasure of sharing my gratitude with the visiting District Manager Adam and the Store Manager Brian, who happened by while Elizabeth was processing my order. In closing, however you acknowledge your Associates for their Professionalism and Excellent Customer Service, please recognize Elizabeth on my behalf. I want to further thank Adam and Brian for stopping to allow me to share with them about my experience. I have personally worked over 60 years in retail and I appreciate the value how customer service and the word of mouth plays a very important part in any business. Store #189. Again, Thank you.
Michelle from the Sioux falls, SD store went over and above to assist in getting a canvas print. She tracked the shipment and notified me upon its status per store arrival of order. She went over and above in her communications!

Answer: Unethically legit. HL really needs to evaluate their own marketing plan and step up their hiring practices in addition to stop buying B2B products from outside mass production sources. At least look at the quality before sticking and reselling total garbage. And ask yourselves "why are our employees so miserable"? Unhealthy culture = unhappy customers.
