The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Good auction. Hope items are as good as presented on-line. I like the alarm bells when item has been outbid or won. I had an issue when my watch list items got close to ending. When bidding, the list didn't stay on watch list items only. Instead I was switched to live auction with every item for sale. Which confused me on focusing in on only my items selected. Very fast paced when multiple items are closing close together and not able to properly execute my bid plan. Suggestions on how to focus in on watch list items only would be appreciated. Thanks for a successful auction.
It can be addictive. I do find the percentage to be high some times
But no problems
Hi Tammy,
Thank you for the 5-star review! We’re glad to hear you enjoy bidding on HiBid—it can definitely be a lot of fun! We understand your point about percentages; those fees are set by each individual auction company, so they can vary between sales.

Rarely with any auction service is there enough information or pictures given to determine conditon or value. Rarely "tested, working or not working ". Or Car or boat has title or no title. If you call to get the specific info, they rarely if ever return the call. Just as bad if you email the auctioneer... If the item is damaged, rarely will that be mentioned nor will picture s of damage be shown...

It is the hardest to navigate through I have ever experienced. It cost me a lot of money because of the way you move things through. If your system ever comes again I just won't even watch the auction much less bid.
Hi Jeff,
We’re sorry to hear the platform felt difficult to navigate and that it affected your bidding experience. We know how frustrating that can be and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback — it helps us identify where improvements are most needed.
We’re always working to make bidding smoother and more intuitive for everyone, and your comments are valuable in that process.

The most recent auction had advertised a 7pm closing, but actually started at 7am the next day. I woke up and changed my schedule based on the 7am time and won several lots. THEN there was a message that because of the 7am error they would extend the bidding through the evening and I lost all my lots. I am sure the auctioneer typed (by mistake) AM in place of PM. Human error exists, however they should have stayed with the bids and acknowledgement I won.
Hi Bonnie,
We realize some time has passed since your review, but we still wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the timing issue — that would be frustrating after planning your day and placing bids. Each auction on HiBid is managed by the individual auction company, including scheduling and final bid confirmations, so it sounds like there was an unfortunate mix-up during that event.
Your feedback is appreciated and helps reinforce the importance of clear, accurate auction details for bidders moving forward.

It would be good to receive an email notification that states you won the item you were bidding on and where to pick it up.
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for the 4-star review and for sharing your suggestion! We understand how helpful it would be to receive a clear email notification right after the auction ends.
Winning bidders typically receive an invoice email directly from the auction company once the auction closes—this includes payment and pickup details. If you don’t see it right away, it’s a good idea to check your spam or promotions folder, as those emails sometimes land there.
We appreciate your feedback and are glad to have you as part of the HiBid community—happy bidding!

Site locked/crashed on me about 1/3 of the way through. Had to close browser and restart to get it to reset, missed bidding on several items, other than that was OK
Hi D. C.,
We’re sorry to hear the site crashed during your bidding — that’s definitely frustrating, especially when it causes you to miss items. We appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback, and we’ll pass it along to our technical team as we continue improving performance.
Happy bidding,
— The HiBid Team
Hesitated on getting involved with this particular auctioneer but there were several items that had me decide to make the plunge. Auctioneer insisted on charging 20% of the invoice total to bidder's credit card despite being informed in advance that the invoice would be paid with cash and/or Zelle in it's entirety. Much too short of a time period post-auction for pick up and more than 24 hours after the conclusion of the auction there had not been scheduling of pickup times. Giving them a rating of "mmehhh", will monitor.
Great experience. Easy to bid and easy to follow. No issues.

I was the highest bidder on multiple items in the auction by Dear Diamonds and Jewelry that closed on 8/9. All of the items that resulted in me as the highest bidder posted "you may have won". I then noticed these same items up for another of their auctions ending 8/11. Time consuming to watch and place competitive bids and then never get the product or even a response from anyone explaining why I didn't win after being the highest bidder.
Hi Joseph,
We realize some time has passed since your review, but we wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear about what happened with that auction — we understand how disappointing it must’ve been after placing competitive bids and not receiving a clear follow-up.
Each auction on HiBid is managed directly by the individual auction company, including final bid confirmations and communication with winners. While it’s too late to resolve that specific event, your feedback helps highlight the importance of transparency and timely responses from sellers.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and helping us identify where improvements can be made.

I recently was involved in an auction and enjoyed the experience. I didn't get everything I bid on, but I won some. A very interesting experience and planning on participating again. Registering was simple and I was notified when my bid was outbidded. Fun experience for sure

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for the 4-star review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the auction and liked the outbid and win alerts—they definitely make bidding more exciting.
If you’re bidding on multiple items, we recommend keeping two tabs open—one for your Watch List and another for the main auction catalog. This way, you can track your selected items and also follow the live closings without losing your place.
We appreciate your feedback and are happy to have you as part of the HiBid community—happy bidding!
