The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

I have bought many items from several sites on here and have got great items and service on them found items that could not find other places. And most auction sites do shipping.
Always have a great experience but recently, I was the top bidder, thought I won, showed I won but only to find out there was a reserve not met.
Was excited at first until I received my items that I won. Small items were ok but larger items like the ceiling fan and pressure washer were both broken and in different boxes (microwave and unrelated fan box).
It's been a couple of years since I found HiBid. This is a great site for auctions. I will not tell you what I buy because I do not want the competition nut they have everything from Designer clothes to jewelry. Of course, I have had only 2 bad experiences with auctioneers. And I have had several eperiences so the stats are pretty good for integrity.
Always interesting to see the offers. Fun to bid. Fun to get special items
The platform is solid, the search function invaluable across dozens and dozens of auctions
Overall I definitely recommend using hibids, I've had a great experience using it. My only complaint I've had is, every so often an auction will be laggy when it's live and (using an iPhone browser, google chrome) it will take multiple taps for it to register anything I do. But honestly it's probably just a phone only issue and it doesn't happen often.
Frustrating to be forced back to the current bids page when you are kicked out multiple pages in. Jusr gave up.
Some auctions are seemless; use card on file, provide immediate while others are extremely slow in billing and send "settlement " sheets that are hard to understand. Suggest more uniformity in billing.
I make sure my high bid is placed well before the start of the auction, as there have been 'disconnects' at critical points.
Difficult to use. Not enough filters for searches. Need to tighten up quality rulers of sellers on watches. If watch has been modified with non manufactures parts it must be disclosed. The argument about Lexus car tires is bull.
Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for the late reply. We hear you—search filters and seller transparency, especially for high-detail items like watches, are both important.
We’ve passed your suggestions along, and we appreciate you calling this out. Improving buyer experience is always a priority, and input like yours helps guide that.
Being older,i cannot get out much & i used to love going to auctions with my husband. Now we can enjoy without driving in dark or strange places
The flashing bid at the end of an Auction is very confusing. When you bid it moves you to another page
And then you have find your lot again to make your bid it should just stay on the same page.
Items as described, easy pay and pickup. Auction Rocket do a great job and very organized and Professional at pickup.
I love this site because it allows me to bid on items from the comfort of my home. All the information necessary is in the auction site along with pictures and descriptions. Online auctions are fun and interesting.
My bids were held as "pending" for many, many minutes as the ending time for the auction continued to be extended. Very disconcerting.
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the delayed response. We understand how frustrating pending bids and extended close times can be—especially during live auctions.
Some delays may occur due to high traffic or auction settings like soft close, but we’re always working to improve the live bidding experience. We appreciate you sharing this and hope your future auctions run more smoothly.
So easy to bid! Quality items! HiBid people are great to work with! Thank you
Bidding was brisk and fast. I missed a couple of items I wish I had gotten
I literally had to be logged in on my laptop and on my phone cause website on laptop would keep freezing up and would pick and choose what items I could bid on and when.
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the delay in responding. That sounds incredibly frustrating—we know how important it is for the site to run smoothly, especially during active bidding.
If you’re still experiencing freezing or glitches, we recommend using the mobile browser for a more consistent experience. Feel free to reach out if you need help troubleshooting.
Wishing you smoother sessions and happy bidding!
I've bid on other auctions before but this auction has yet to reach out to me and let me know if I won the item. It still says "May have won" pickup time is tomorrow. If I drive an hour away tomorrow and I didn't win the item I'm gonna be real upset.
Thanks for your feedback, and sorry we didn’t get back to you sooner. We understand how confusing and stressful that must’ve been—especially with pickup time approaching and no clear confirmation.
Each auction house manages their own notifications and pickup instructions, so we always recommend contacting the seller directly if you're unsure. It’s the best way to avoid a wasted trip.
We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we hope future auctions go much more smoothly for you.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry we didn’t get back to you sooner. We’re disappointed to hear that some of your larger items arrived damaged or mismatched—that’s not the experience we want for our bidders.
Each auction house handles its own packing and shipping, but we’re happy to help connect you with them if this was never resolved. Just reach out with the auction info.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope your next experience is a better one.
