The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Everytime I use hibid I have connectivity problems during the live auction. I'm not able to bid straight from the live auction page I have to do it from the catalog so I don't get to see the time wind down correctly.
Auction was good, but when you looked at a item then backed out to auction it took you back to beginning.
Thank you for your feedback, Randy! We’re glad to inform you that this issue has been resolved on HiBid. You should now be able to navigate between items and auctions without being redirected to the beginning. We appreciate your patience, and we hope your future experiences are even better. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. Thanks again for using HiBid!
Online bidding was exceptionally smooth and trouble-free. We were on 2 separate auctions, and the bid process and the ability to enter a proxy bid was net very helpful.
I do have one significant complaint. Your android HiBid app is completely worthless. It continually either closes for no reason, or it doesn't load properly so I can be used. I almost lost a lot I really wanted because of your defective app. FIX YOUR APP! FIX YOUR APP! FIX YOUR APP! Other than that, HiBid works good.
It was easy once I was registered and figured out how everything worked. Just like being in the bidding ring!
A couple of times while I was trying to place a bid, there appeared to be some kind of disruption and I almost lost what I was bidding on because I had to keep trying to get the bid to go through.
We apologize for the delayed response, Paul, and understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to place a bid and experience disruptions. These issues could be related to your internet connection or technical difficulties on the site. If the issue persists, we recommend checking your connection and trying to refresh the page before bidding. If you continue to experience problems, please feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we'll assist you in resolving the issue. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
Was great experience. Happy with way things went! I'm very happy with the way things went! Thanks for the opportunity. Am eagerly waiting next auction!
I have bid on many online auctions and I have found this site to be very easy to use and accurate.
Everything was as it was described and pick up was fast and accurate.
I have found the hibid auction site to be user friendly, auctions give clearly written instructions and the live auction 1-minute refreshes were great.
Was loaded quickly. And very nice people. They knew where everything was that was bought,so it was collected quickly..
Easy registration, easy use and great overall experience.
I've successfully bought many items from th auctions on hibid.com. The thing you have to remember is that you should always do your due diligence before bidding. Every auction has its own staff who enters the information and it can sometimes be wrong or misleading. For example, a stone bathroom vanity described as excellent condition when you can see in the pictures that it's clearly broken in half. The majority of lots are clearly described and well photographed but you should read the description very carefully as stock photos are sometimes used. Some auctions will quote a retail price for the lot but don't take it as the normal sale price. Do your own research to understand what a fair auction price might be. I've found that the quoted retail prices are inflated add lots sale for more than the currently available sale price. The web site is great, but the auctioneers who enter the data for the lots can have subtle ways to cause people to pay too much. You can almost always inspection the lot before hand if you have time so if you don't, it's on you if it turns out to be junk. I'm hooked so I'll keep buying. The deals are too good to pass up when you can recognize them and everyone else seems to miss them.
In general I like using HiBid. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars because while I know that the different locations run their own auctions (as in HiBid is just a service that they use,) there are some auctions that have very vague descriptions or pictures that don't match the description of the item being auctioned. Sometimes I have not bid on an item because I couldn't identify exactly what the lot was since the description and picture didn't match. But, that doesn't happen often and most auctions are clear and concise in their listings. In any case if there are questions I've found that contacting the auctioneer will get you a quick answer and they've always been very helpful when I've had questions or needed to point out discrepancies.
I feel like the added fees are a bit steep sometimes amounting to nearly 25% of the bid value for fees and taxes but as long as you're happy with the final price that's all that matters. I've found that you really need to check the listing well. Sometimes an items condition is described as "Excellent" and it's obviously broken in half and useless based on the pictures so read the listing carefully. Also when a lot shows a retail value it's usually been cherry-picked from the highest price you might find so as always in these auctions, do your due diligence and be an informed bidder.
They need to be made to have more than one photograph for items ( front- back) that may be of value or not a well known item and more of a description in the notes of any damage or repairs if possible...information information, information, and when a buyer messages about an item there should be a reply at the least if the questions are asked in a good timely manner for the auctioneer. Ths is for all not just one certain auctioneer. I enjoy hibid and will keep bidding but those are my beefs 😁😁
Went smoothly. The bidding was easy to figure out and simple to bid.
I would like to have a history of auction sites that I have searched and/or bid on. I do not see why you have to keep putting the zip code in to find what i have bid or searched. Your system is great just a thought!
Found useful items and the bidding process is very easy to follow.
I enjoy using HiBid. It is so nice to be able to browse days in advance, and add to watch list the items I am interested in. I have never had an issue with HiBid itself.
The app on my phone kept opening and then closing down. I had to use my laptop for the actual auction.
Page numbers at the top of the page, as well as, at the bottom. Some times the bottom
Page number is chosen but you want to go back to the previous page. Now you have to scroll down bottom of the page to click on previous page.
The refresh is horrible. I lose out on several items because your refresh takes too long. You need to send text messages when you are outbid. Other auction platforms send a text. It gives the buyer a chance to bid quickly.
We apologize for the delayed response, Roni, and understand how frustrating it can be when the refresh takes too long during an auction. While HiBid works to update quickly, sometimes there can be delays based on connectivity or device issues. We appreciate your suggestion for text notifications when you are outbid, and we’ll share this with our team as we continue to improve the platform. If you need further assistance or have additional questions, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

We apologize for the delayed response, Danielle, and understand how frustrating connectivity issues during live auctions can be. These problems can sometimes be caused by internet connectivity or device settings. We recommend checking your internet connection and ensuring your browser or app is up to date. If the issue continues, please feel free to use the mobile web browser for a smoother experience, as it may perform better than the app in some cases. If you need further assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help troubleshoot the issue. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your future experiences are smoother!
