I got two pairs of beats headphones off of ruito trading and the one came basically snapped in half and the other came working in proper order except for one of the sides of the headphones just doesn't play sound emailed them and got a response to email the auction house directly and did that still no response. Waiting to get my money back hopefully

Bid on a few items from Backyard Bargains Shopping 2024 auction, was minutes away from winning, and when I refereshed the page the auction company added 7 more days to the end time. Called HiBid to resove the problem and got a response that that sort of was allowed and there's nothing that could be done about it. I also asked if my bids could be rescinded from that auction, because I'd rather not do business with a auction company that would pull that kind of stunt to which I got a reply that I would have to reach out to the seller, that it would ultimately be up to them, and that they could leave bad feedback against my account if they chose to which would lead to other auctions not allowing me to bid in future sales. The customer service representative I spoke to sounded like she was annoyed I even called and brought it to her attention, as if this wasn't a crooked action by the auction company. No help was given, no options, no explanations as to why something like this is even allowed to happen, nothing. Basically sellers on this site can virtually do anything to you and as a buyer (the ones keeping this whole thing in motion mind you, no buyers = no Hi-Bid) you have to sit back and take it on the chin or you're gone... Absolutely unreal that this behavior is allowed and even crazier that it's defended.

HiBid would be a much better auction site, if not for two things that keep me from bidding much more with them. Hope these can be corrected, or at least explained better:
1) Any time I "watch" an item, I receive no heads-up or alerts through my email that the item is closing soon when it's near the end if the auction. The only option they seem to have is email promotions for upcoming auctions in certain states, or by certain companies. Might just be missing something, but if there's not a way to alert a bidder when a lot is closing, then that really needs to be added on there.
2) Seems to be that sellers can see a person's Max Bid when they make one. Is there info out there where HiBid can verify if a bidders maximum bid can be seen by the seller? If HiBid is avoiding answering this question publicly, then that's a HUGE problem when it comes to bidders not knowing that they can potentially get shill bid by occasional unscrupulous sellers who use your software. This is the main reason I don't like bidding with HiBid, and many people could potentially lose a good amount of money if your product falls into the "wrong hands" seller-wise. A simple, honest answer to the question of "Can sellers see bidder's Max Bids?" would at least give people a fighting chance going into an auction.

I got carried away on my first bidding experience late last month. I had bid on 20 items and a few (at one point 5) were closing at the same time. It was a challenge to keep up with upping my bid but what was distracting was the warning alarms going off like multiple claxons! I ended up muting the volume on my laptop. Is there a way to stop the alarms (other than what I did)? Other than that experience (my first time bidding) it was a hoot.

Regarding the alarm sounds, we understand that it can be a bit much when multiple lots are closing at once. You can actually toggle off the sound by clicking the mute icon located on the right side of the screen, above the auction lots. This should help reduce the noise during your bidding sessions.

Instant notifications, reminders and very easy to use. Auctioneers posting items should be required to enter more details about items. Would entice higher bids for items if there were better descriptions. This is coming from a 20+ year EBay seller. They have demanded sellers include more information about items to make bidders more likely to bid on items.

I enjoy the viewing and bidding experience on your website. My one problem is during a live online auction there may be hundreds of items. Its when you are trying to navigate the full catalog while the closing items are listed first that I have this problem.
If you go to the 'full catalog' during the closing time, you can find specific items. However, you may find something interesting on page X and select the item. After reviewing the item, you press the Back button on the browser, and it takes you to the live bidding/closing screen, and not back to where you left off in the catalog. In order to resume my browsing where I left off, I have to navigate again back to page X, which I likely don't remember!
This is tough because if I am travelling to pick up a big item, I like to bid on the smaller items to enhance my basket and increase return on time and transit.
Estate sales are best if you are truly environmentally conscience, as the energy used to produce has already past!

I was bidding on several closely linked items and with being able to view only one to two lines at a time on my laptop, sometimes items out of sight were closing while I was still on the nearest line items. Seems I had to do a lot of shifting to make sure I didn't lose out on one of my bidding items.
Otherwise, it is a great way for bidding and I am very pleased with how the process operates. And pickup service in the past has always been easy.

I have been bidding on Hibids for several months now. It is a very easy process. After you set up your account, you select the auctions you want to follow. Searching for auctions is simple. The provide several different ways to search. When you find one you want to participate in. You register with that auction, select your items, place you maximum bid and it does all the bidding up to your maximum for you. You will get notifications throughout the process on items you bid on and reminders that the closing is about to happen. It's a very good platform for online auctions.

I won a bid and I called them, send them messages and emails and I have not received answers and they already charged me. HiBid need to have better control of the companies they partner with and they should have an area where we can report this kind of issues.

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
