The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

I'm 73 years old and have been buying items for myself, not to resell, for years. I have utilized all the other formats of various names any 'shopper' would recognize. HiBid quickly became my favorite and they are second to none in every way. Believe me, when this old Cherokee Indian says they're the easiest and best to use, try them. Respectfully, Dale (Bigindin)yeah
Overall, hybrid is as good as any of the other online auctions platforms. However, high bed seems to really run into trouble during the closing and the bidding and the platform can't handle the number of bitters.
Thanks for your feedback, James. While HiBid doesn’t currently report widespread technical issues, we understand performance can vary based on things like device type, browser version, and internet connection. If you continue experiencing delays, feel free to reach out to HiBid Support at 844-775-4774. We appreciate you sticking with the platform and wish you smoother bidding in the future!
During the closing bidding, the platform freezes. You have to exit high bid completely.Sign back in to correct the problem.Missing bids and missing auction items
I recently bought a few things at auction, and things went smoothly except when I checked hibid for my current or past bids the lots I bid on and won were not listed anymore. I was a little confused why they were not showing up as current or past bids
Thanks for your feedback, Courtnay! We’re glad to hear things mostly went smoothly. Once an auction ends and the seller sends the invoice, your items may no longer appear under current or past bids, which can definitely be a little confusing. If you're ever unsure, you can always contact the seller directly from the auction page for details or reach out to HiBid support at 844-775-4774.
It was good. Everything worked out and had no problems. The bids went in quickly and there was no hesitation.
Thanks for the great review, James! We're happy to hear everything went smoothly during the Heisey Auction and that the bidding experience was quick and seamless.
Fun, easy, organized. Never had done an online auction. Site was easy to manage! Auction pickup was organized and simple. Will be participating in more online auctions!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Sharon! We're thrilled your first online auction went smoothly and that our support team could assist with the email issue. Looking forward to seeing you in more auctions—happy bidding!
II appreciate the good pictures and the bidding process. It's easy to register, easy to follow and the pick up process has always been a friendly and easy experience.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Stan! We're thrilled to hear that everything went smoothly, from bidding to pickup. We're also glad our support team was able to assist you promptly. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to seeing you at future auctions!
Thank you for your great feedback, Jean! We're so glad to hear that everything went smoothly and that you had a positive experience. We look forward to your continued participation in future auctions!
Sometimes the shipping is absolutely ridiculous, Also, I have received broken items which nobody would refund…Most of the time all is good, but I do prefer when the auctioneers contact me through email and not by phone! You have some sellers who are just awesome and some who are rude and do not want to even help..
Sorry to hear about your experience, Kelly. We understand how frustrating it can be when issues like shipping or damaged items arise. While we can't control individual sellers, we recommend contacting HiBid support at 844-775-4774 if you continue to have trouble reaching them. We're always here to help facilitate communication when needed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and we hope your future experiences are much smoother.
Aurora is a very reputable auction house. I have both purchased and sold with them. Have been very satisfied with all aspects of their company. Would recommend them highly.
Thank you for your kind words, Kelly! We're so glad to hear you've had a great experience with Aurora Country Auction. It’s always wonderful to work with reputable auction houses, and we appreciate your positive feedback!
I bid on a vintage Santa out of state so I requested shipping. This particular auction site used an outside packing service. I think the packers wrapped the Santa so tight that it broke during the shipping process. I immediately notified the auction site and was instructed to call another number which I did. I was then instructed to send pictures via email which I did. It's been over three weeks and I've heard nothing from the auction site or the packers as to a refund.
Hi Cynthia, we're sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your shipment. It's unfortunate when items get damaged in transit, and we understand your frustration. While HiBid doesn't handle packing or shipping, we recommend following up with the auction site or the packing service directly for resolution. If you're still waiting for a response, please contact HiBid support at 844-775-4774, and we can help facilitate communication. We hope this matter gets resolved soon!
Have been using the service for a year or so for a local bi-weekly auction. The system works well, and the only issue I have is not with Hi-Bid, but the auctioneer who can be sporadic with his viewing and start times.
Thanks, Robert! We’re happy to hear HiBid has been working well for you over the past year. We appreciate your continued support and hope your local auctioneer becomes a bit more consistent for an even smoother experience!
I thought I had won several items since the auctions were closing with my bid being last one placed, but it turns out the "winning" was at seller's discretion. Reserve wasn't met, so seller didn't want to let go of the items. Either have a minimum bid or make it clear to bidders that it's a seller's discretion. In the end, it was a total waste of my night.
Hi Lynn, thanks for your feedback. That definitely sounds frustrating. Some sellers do place reserves on items, which means the lot won’t sell unless the minimum price is met. These reserve details are usually listed in the auction’s terms and item descriptions. If something isn’t clear, it’s always a good idea to contact the seller directly through the auction page. We appreciate you sharing your experience.
I recently participated in a couple auctions over the last two weeks. I used a windows 10 computer and an IPhone 16. The computer was fine and had no issues. On the phone, I used the google app primarily on the phone. I could still view and bid on lots with no issues until the lots went "live". Just a minute or two left. The timer would count down and the price would update when people bid, but the bid button would not work for me. I tried repeatedly and sometimes it would go to the confirm bid screen but even then it would stop responding to input. I could go back to the previous page or even to a lot that was not "live" and normal function would return. It was frustrating because I would definitely have spent more money. I even switched to the safari browser on the iPhone and had the same issue.
Hi Nicholas, thank you for the detailed review. We’re glad everything worked well on your computer, but we understand how frustrating that mobile issue must’ve been—especially during live bidding. While the mobile web browser is generally the recommended option, performance can still vary depending on the device, browser, and auction activity. If the issue continues, it may help to clear your browser cache, check for iOS and browser updates, or try using a different device if available.
If problems persist, feel free to reach out to HiBid support at 844-775-4774 so they can look into it more closely. We appreciate your feedback and hope future bidding goes smoother!
I'm an experienced bidder and auctioneer on hibid and when I started bidding on the channel letters halfway into it the site locked up. I refreshed the page and couldn't get back in for a while, then got back it but couldn't bid, then could bid one time then it would lock up again.
Hi Mark, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced during bidding. While HiBid doesn't currently report any widespread outages, issues like this can sometimes be related to local internet connection, browser compatibility, or device performance. If it happens again, we recommend switching devices, using a mobile web browser, or reaching out to HiBid support directly at 844-775-4774. We hope future auctions go more smoothly for you.
I recently participated in an online auction, buying things through the HiBid site. It was a local auction and I found the process worked extremely well. I purchased several items. On some I placed my bid several days in advance. And was able to participate in the live auction for several other items. Everything went perfectly. I was successful in buying multiple items and them very pleased with the whole process.
Thanks for the great review, Douglas! We're glad to hear your experience with both pre-bidding and live bidding went smoothly. Enjoy your auction wins!
It was pretty good. The only thing i dont like is the bidders names. You really dont know if the owner is bidding to drive up the price or not. It should not be anonymous. People driving up the price higher than what you can actually buy the stuff in the stores. Not talking about antiques
Thanks for the 5-star review, Henry! We appreciate your thoughts. Bidding activity is managed by the sellers, and concerns about pricing or transparency are important to note. If you'd like to change your bidder name, you can reach out to HiBid support at 844-775-4774 — they’ll be happy to help walk you through the process.
I won stuff but they never contacted anyone, 3 weeks later they said I won asked where I could pickup and then they never responded, they said Hibid was to blame for everything?
Thanks for the 5-star review, Ken! We're sorry to hear about the confusion with that auction. Just to clarify, sellers handle all communication and pickup directly. If they’re unresponsive, feel free to reach out to HiBid support at +1 (844) 775-4774 for help facilitating contact.
Easy site to use. Easy to bid. I like how you can preset a max bid.
Thanks, Michael! We’re glad you find the site easy to use and enjoy features like max bidding. Appreciate the 5-star review!
It is easy to register and bid. The auction finish up and the bill are easy.
Thanks, Barb! We're so glad to hear everything's been smooth and easy for you—happy bidding! 😊
I was using iPhone and bidding opened another window. This other window was not an active bidding window resulting in bidding refresh rates and bids were difficult to post.
Thanks for your feedback, Chris! It sounds like there was an issue with how the bidding window opened. For a smoother experience, we recommend using a single browser tab for bidding. If this continues to be an issue, feel free to reach out to HiBid support for assistance. We appreciate your input and hope your future bidding experiences go smoothly!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.

Thank you so much, Dale! We're honored by your kind words and grateful for your trust in HiBid. It means a lot coming from someone with your experience — we're glad to be your go-to auction platform. Happy bidding, Bigindin!
