The only pic was a box that appeared to be closed so was assuming it was new. There is absolutely no description of the item just 1 picture. Picked it up and the box was open and the tool had been well used.

Experience has been real good especially the pick-up process. My only issue is how the 2 minute clock restarts at the end of each bid. I feels that is a great disadvantage for a buyer who has led the bidding for an item and who really wants it, getting an inflated price at the end. Auction would be more attractive it it ended on the time it was set to expire.

Buy from hibid often. I dislike you cannot review the auction company's. For example I purchased a $200 gun and said company shipped in house and charged me $105 shipping (absurd). Another company i won TWO coins. Again charged $35 in house to ship. I get paying buyers premium but when an auction house is also profiting from shipping I think others should be made aware and likewise when a company is great to deal with, that also should be allowed to review.

This was the first auction I ever particpated in, and it was a totally new experience. I was able to win bids on some very nice furniture and other household goods. I had a good time in the process participating with others who were bidding. I would recommend using HiBid to anyone looking to buy items for auction and I look forward to doing it myself again in the future.

The gun i was bidding on quit letting me bid on it. It sold for $185 and I was willing to go higher than that.

I bid on items daily & my bids win often but I've never won an item & not received an invoice or address to pickup. It's Mon 4/7, pickup is Wed 4/9 but only received an email stating that I had winning bids. Obviously I know that.

I bid on a recent auction. The process is seamless. I find what I like and add it to my Watch List. Then I can concentrate on bidding. Afterwards the invoice is sent very quickly and the process is done. This is a very easy experience and it makes me want to "shop" more!

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
