The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

HiBid misrepresented a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal vacuum I that won at auction. The vacuum I purchased was missing the Motorbar Cleaner Head, even though the photograph showed it included. Instead, it came with a "hair screw tool," a photo of which was included but I couldn't tell it was not the Motorbar Cleaner Head. NONE of the accessories that typically come with a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal vacuum were included. The charger and docking station were missing. HiBid falsely showed the wrong photograph. Moreover, they did not disclose in the description the accessories were missing. I did not inspect the item in advance because I relied both on what typically comes with a Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal vacuum, and that HiBie would accurately represent the item and photograph the actual item.
I started off buying things from HiBid with good resuslts.
Seems they have now added some shading people to the fold.
JANABEES TREASURES
Bought 2 listings of records and a book.
I had to keep hounding Janis to get them shipped out. When it was finally shipped, one of the lots of records was not with it. It was missing some Rolling Stone LP's that was worth more than I bid for them.
Again had to hound her to get a refund. A month later it was finally sent.
HOPKINS AUCTION
I will only bid on auctions that will ship or I can pickup on the weekend. This clown first tells me on a Saturday that he is having computer problems and can pickup on Sunday. That 's fine, it's still the weekend.
Sunday I get a message that he can't meet to give me the items i bid on. Says I can pick them up Monday or Tuesday. I tell him this does not work for me and he then charges my credit card for the Items.
Then he tells me he is going on vacation for 2 weeks and I can pick them up then. Dirtbag still hasn't honored my request for refund.
ATX AUCTIONS SAT, LLC
These guys I had bought quote a bid from over the year. I am constantly having to call them out on their auction. They advertise items but when you go to pick them up, they are not what was advertised.
It is hit or miss with HiBid.
They need to police the companies under their umbrella better
Called in the morning about a particular lot. They told us when it would sell but it went two hours earlier than they told us so we weren't able to bid.
I won 4 coin auctions. 2 days went by with nothing, I email, Randy says "u didn't win and now your banned. WTF
They allow fake items to be sold on their site. They do not hold any auctioneer accountable who does this either. Jeff Robinson Auctions and Estate Sales sold me two fake gold chains and I supplied proof and they did NOTHING. Said it wasn't their business or some other weak excuse. Do yourself a favor and avoid Hibid and Jeff Robinson Auctions and Estate Sales
The owner of this website and all those who enjoy taking advantage of others along with them, they will have a special place in hell... that's all I'm going to say.
Not all of my purchases have been home runs but you must expect that. These little auction houses lay it all out in the description for the most part. I only buy toys and collectibles and have had great success. I continue to buy in hibid.
It is put on your feedback by other bidders who want you out of the way so they can get all the bids and good prices. Hibids system allows this to happen, and will not do any thing about it.
I WON 6 ITEMS FROM BISMANDIDS AUCTION NAME IS DAKOTA AUCTION AND REALTY. IF YOU ENJOY BUYING 1,150.00 WOTH OF ITEMS BUT GETTING CHARGERED 1,6000. 00. HAVE ASKED PROBILY ABOUT 20 TIMES FOR INVOICE GOT NOTHING. TOOK A MONTH TO SEND ITEMS TO FEDEX, HE STILL HAS NOT SHIPPED ONE OF MY ITEMS THAT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL (PLUSE SOME). ----------STAY AWAY-------------- IF I HAD AN IVOICE I COULD PROVIDE PROOF OF PURCHASE
I sent them 3 emails, one before the bid to ask a question, two after I supposedly won, No response, called also, went to voice mail. No acknowledgment that I won, even though I had the high bid. No ability to even see if anyone else was bidding or if they just put my limit as the high bid. Two weeks later I received the supposedly leather purse from Amazon. It isn't leather and now I don't know how to return it. I have no proof of hi-bid to show on here since they sent me nothing in writing.
I made to many mistakes by trusting scum who are using Hibid platform to fraud bidders, I bought fake Maro and another signed print. But today there is paper auction (books and magazines), checked EBay sell the same at half price. Advice, do your homework before bidding because at this point it is a joke that will cost you $$$$, I contacted Christie's for advice on Maro! FAKE.
Beware of seller they Misrepresent They're stamps There are reviews under Golden Valley stamp that indicate That hit he is misleading the public if you buy stamps from him buyer beware
I advise all those who are bidding to stay away from Curts on line auctions from Lawrenceburg tn... they sold me a bracelet and called it 14k. And it was actually one of those stainless steel magnetic bracelet and easy to see not gold. When he sent my receipt he had his picture on it and giving me the finger... as to say. I got your money... wont answer phone or txt
Shill bidders are phantom bidders that advance the sale price on behalf of the seller. I placed absentee bids on several lots. The lots I lost I was outbid by legitimate bidders with user IDs. The lots I won the bidding was run up by an unidentified "Floor Bidder" with no user ID. Then the 'Floor Bidder" drops out when the price hits my maximum high bid. This is all visible in the bidding history of each lot.
This scam cost me hundreds of dollars extra on 3 lots. HiBid will do nothing about it. They don't even make contact information available for customer service.
1. Don't buy on HiBid
2. Don't place absentee bids on online auctions
Hibid computer system is inadequate to keep up with the demand. Bids are delayed, reporting is delayed and mistakes are happening real time. Many problems not one.
When buying from warehouse sales, this is what has repeatedly happened to me: The auction will list an item, complete with brand name, images, and description. You bid and win. When you go to pickup your item, it's different. A lesser quality or lower end model. You'll be told they made a mistake and uploaded the wrong item. You'll be told they have thousands of items, it happens. You'll be told they have someone new on staff. You'll be given the option to take a full refund and leave the item or pay the price of your bid and keep lesser item they have. That's it. Those are the only choices. Of course, you're going to take the lesser item. It's a scam. You're paying more for something of lesser quality than you expected. They know this. Maybe you wouldn't have bid had you know. But you did. They've already run your card. You've already driven across town. You likely have plans for this item - whatever it is. It's a complete bait and switch. This has happened to me multiple times with different auction houses. Furniture and electronics. Just beware that you won't get exactly what you're expecting.
Won a bid on a concrete mixer, pictures were taken showing how great it was, got home and opened up moter case, the motor pully was missing, the drum pully was broke and bearings were shot. Its a real shame that a seller has to sell something that they know is crap, and make it it seem runnable. I won't spend another dime on hibid auctions. Buyer beware, if you cant see in person, don't bid.
I won some vinyl albums from Marley Auction in Tennessee, they sent me all but Michael Jackson "Off the Wall". I have sent 3 emails to find out why no response, there is no phone number, no way to get in touch besides email. I paid for Michael but did not receive Michael. AVOID AVOID AVOID They are by far the worst auction house I have ever dealt with. I buy quite a bit off the Texas group and have NEVER had one bit of trouble. The auction houses there are great. Stay away from MARLEY AUCTION IN TENNESSEE!
I don't recommend Hibid.com or Stritzinger Auction to anyone. Use at your own risk. They put all the cards in the hands of the auctions that are members and will not listen to a buyer when the buyer is being rated unfairly. My situation in a nutshell was that after winning a $5 auction that I thought offered shipping, I was waiting for the shipping charges. After only four days, the auction company (Stritzinger) dinged me for non-payment. I called and was treated very rudely even though I was willing to pay the $5 despite the fact that they were not willing to drop the flat item in an envelope to mail. Then because of that four or five other auctions that I registered with saw the one negative feedback that I received and they left comments that looked like I had stiffed them, but I had not even won an item with them. Roll it all up and my whole account is blemished because of the one misunderstanding with Stritzinger. Hibid didn't care, didn't want to help. So, there it is. I'll find another auction site and get on with it, but if I were you, I'd do the same thing because if you ever have a problem, Hibid will not lift a finger to help regardless of the circumstances.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
