Home town sucks!
April 21, 2017

By far the worst show hgtv has put out there... boring and very fake and acted out. Wow I can't believe I wasted my time watching that painfully stupid show

Boring as Heck

Hgtv needs more informative shows, I loved competition shows on design, teams imputing their styles into older homes, landscape shows for all areas

But Hometown, I don't know how they got picked up...
I guess we all can have our own shows, the majority of us design and fix up homes

Im pretty confident this show won't come back, it's too boring and not pretty at all

Home Town Frustration
April 19, 2017

The guy has talent, his wife is annoying and worthless. It's hard to listen to her and even harder to see her paintings of houses. Seriously, cancel this show!

Home Town Flop
April 17, 2017

Home Town is just a mess. It's a cheap take off of Fixer Upper and it fails terribly. Joanna and Chips Fixer Upper is more than just a fix it show. It shows a family with strong values; which is hard to find these days. Home Town has two people that are fakes, and it's boring as watching a rock. Take it off.

I'd had it with the juvenile behavior and lovey/dovey stupid antics of Joanna & Chip (40 year olds acting like 17) and Christine and Tarek faking it for making it ($$$$$$). So what do you do but make more of these identical style shows - what nonsense. The shows are totally redundant and predictable and will not be sustainable. They are not like NCIS and CSI with multiple locations and talented actors. Yours are starring ego driven home renovators - who are disgusting.

Instead of doing something more creative HGTV - e.g., like landscaping design and bird and butterfly gardens as one example --- what do you do, but get more blondes and their husbands, (vomit vomit) and replicate identical shows. Duh do you think the public wants this drivel over and over again - NOT NOT NOT at all. I'm no longer watching any of this crap - it's the same designs, the same dialogue and the same phony relationships between husband and wife. Give me break - get some creative people to develop NEW SHOWS not this crap

Joke's on HGTv
April 16, 2017

Home Town is a total rip-off of Fixer Upper with two of the most un-charismatic, untalented people on HGTV's network. What the heck are you thinking? Just a few minutes of their meaningless jabber and use of "Babe" makes me want to throw-up. Get rid of them and the amateur hour. And while you're at it, FIRE the person who gave this the green light. Guess they think anyone who watches is as stupid as they are.

The personalities of the two hosts are pathetic I couldn't even get through entire episode. Their attempts at being fixer uppers is a palling. The houses are gorgeous that they are going to remodel, but they come across as amateurs And the way that they have to fill the air with constant chatter is ridiculous. Get rid of them

Chip and Joanna Gaines have a very special and very rare appeal - they are what make the show Fixer Upper so successful. The show Home Town blatantly PLAGIARIZES Fixer Upper. The format of Home Town is exactly the same as Fixer Upper, but it fails horribly. I suffered through one episode - I will NEVER watch another! The couple on Home Town are the lamest- they are pitiful Chip and Joanna "wannabes" She is supposed to be an artist, but the amatureish drawings of homes that she does are just NOT good. Even the commercials for the show Home Town are annoying in their imitation of Chip and Joanna... PLEASE HGTV, CANCEL THIS SHOW!

Hometown is terrible
April 12, 2017

Did the dude get kicked many times in the head by a mule? Boring, like watching paint dry. Did HGTV even do a test audience? I feel dumber for having watched it. The guy talks so slow and the show has no excitement. It's like they are all smoking weed in between takes.

I live in Mississippi and was real excited for Home Town- it is awful! Boring and she is goofy. Watched once and can not watch again. Her paintings are not good. I love Chip and Joanna!

Love It Or List It is one of the few remaining shows I like on HGTV. I sure miss the old classics. And this is supposed to be Home and GARDEN tv. WHERE ARE THE GARDENS? There used to be so many shows dedicated to Landscaping Design, Curb Appeal, different Growing Zones and which flowers, berries, shrubs and trees were hardy survivors... all these programs are gone, replaced by hours of (to me) boring oddities shows. This channel has really declined and is not even a shadow of its former self.

I was so excited... and so let down. They need their own format and better lighting. There was no excitement. The designs were nice, they were nice and the buyers nice... nice equals magazine... I want something new bring back design on a dime or apartment hunting... we need to relate and be stimulated... we want them to show us what we can't have or what we need to do to get what they have... this show is a dud... if it ir replace it.

Please, I'm begging you, STOP SHOWING THE COMMERCIAL for this show. These two remind me of actors trying to portray Chip and Joanna. Her mannerisms are weird and her whole cartoon drawing of the home renovation is stupid. This show is a flop, can't wait for it to be off the air. HGTV used to be the only thing I watch. Now I hardly turn to it anymore because everything is the same. Boring.

Hometown Joke!
April 3, 2017

The new show on HGTV Hometown is terrible I watched the first episode for about 20 minutes and had to turn it off. If this is what Hgtv has to resort to things must be really bad. Please stop showing this crap. Ohh and please stop trying to push this on us. Your advertising this crap on every commercial break. Enough!

Just Awful
April 2, 2017

I don't know why when networks have a hit show they think they have got to do spin-offs. I watched one episode and was completely bored. The couple Ben and Erin are a little creepy. When they are showing the houses to the couples they always have their arms around each other and are holding hands. You are suppose to be professionals and not some touchy feely teenagers. If they are trying to show how in love they are, it is not working. I thought I would give it a second try because maybe they just had to get some kinks out but I was wrong. I turned after 10 minutes. I am sure the hosts are very nice people but they have no more talent than the average Joe They laugh at themselves all the time when there isn't even anything funny. The whole show is just disturbing in many ways. Please get rid of this show.

Home Town Copy Cat
April 2, 2017

I love Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines. I watched Home Town and was annoyed that this show was trying to copy Fixer Upper. It pales in comparison and I will not watch again.

Hard to Do
April 1, 2017

Chip and Joanna are just perfect! Great love, personalities and quality work! No mishaps and very few "surprises" like Love it or List (which I don't know anyone that likes) which have set the standards incredibly high. I could handle the husband, cute with a good sense of humor, but she ruins it. They get an A+ for tring, but very boring and not worth watching.
