Worst HGTV show EVER!
April 26, 2017

I love my HGTV but this show is enough to end my love affair. No offense to the couple but they are just horrible to watch. Fake, boring, uninspired and really needs to be taken off air.

The only positive thing that came out of watching the first episode of this show was the belly laughter my husband and I shared over the horrible drawings that could probably be topped by my kindergartener.

The banter both between them and with their clients is forced and weird to watch. It's like the experience you'd have talking with an old acquaintance who just moved to your city and you are taking out to drinks out of pity because they don't know anyone else, but halfway through round 1 you realize you have nothing to talk about.

Look - I'm not deluded into thinking any of the shows on HGTV are anything but carefully planned out fantasies, but at least find some people who aren't painful to watch and a premise that isn't a total snooze fest. (Oh, and designs I would actually want in my home)

Very cute show.
April 26, 2017

I think the show is great! Erin and Ben are adorable. They use repurposed materials which I think is great. I have no idea why this show is getting such bad reviews.

Being from the Gulf coast area I thought wow this will be a really cute show. Yikes not so much. Halfway through the first episode I felt so annoyed. Tried to watch again, nope.
Sorry but Erin reminds me so much of snobby old south money. Gaudy Southern charm at its finest. Why HGTV would try to replicate Chip & Jo is beyond me!

Boring
April 26, 2017

This show is so boring! There is no energy or personality. It's all I can do to get through it. I have tried several times in case it was just an episode. It wasn't. Will not watch anymore.

Thank God for DVR!
April 25, 2017

I DVR it so I can get through the show. I just want to see the end result. I don't know how the husband gets anything done. He can't seem to keep his hands off her. It's annoying to watch. Definitely a copy cat of fixer upper.

HGTV needs help
April 25, 2017

So, Fixer Upper is good. Chip & Joanne are like able, talented, and seem to be genuine. House Hunters/House Hunters International seems to be fake but entertaining. And HGTV isn't trying to shove the tiny house nonsense down our throats like DIY is.

However, Flip or Flop? How in the world did these two even find a job? Buying house after house without doing a minimum amount of research cannot equal success every time. Then HGTV replicates it. In Vegas! Ups the ante on the douche! Ugh! And Home Town? Completely unwatchable.

WHAT THE? HGTV is my guilty pleasure. It's so disappointing that Love It or List It and Property Brothers are some of the best shows now on the network. Quite despite the insufferable hosts of both shows.

I love this show
April 24, 2017

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I love the show. I like the Napiers. He is such a talented wood worker and also contractor. Her designs may not always be my favorite, but I don't really think they are too cluttered. I do like how they do realistic smaller homes that are true to many older home. Most older homes are not big sprawling 2000-3000 square foot homes. Most older homes that are restored are on the smaller. I like their style Southern Living with some Americana. I like how they restore things whenever they can. I like the lived in look and historic character they maintain. I like that they support small town living. I think they are a super sweet couple. As for having no chemistry, that's ridiculous. They are sweet, but more toned down. They are not Chip and Joanna and I don't think they are trying to be. They have their own style. I think it's mean that people are commenting on Erin's art work. I think it's really nice she gives each couple a painting of their house with their family name on it. I love this show.

Please delete this show. I cannot stand that Gorilla husband wrap his arms around his wife every time they are together. He is abominable and should not be portrayed in any HGTV show. I dread when your network advertises their show. I cannot wait to switch to a less nauseating show. Please take these people off your network. I will thank you to the high heavens.

Same bs
April 23, 2017

I used to watch HGTV a lot. A lot of the shows they have show the couple with conflicting styles and they generally want the same things: hardwood floors, custom kitchen, granite, walk-in closets, a guest room for "mother," and a yard for the dog, and "great for entertaining." Where are all of the good shows on that network? Used to love "Design on a Dime," "My House is Worth What?," etc.

Seriously pitiful.
April 23, 2017

I cannot believe HDTV picked this up. Their decorating skills are unprofessional and make me think somebody has a nick knack obsession. What a mess. The one episode I watched showed a lovely African American woman that I swear was ready to cry when she saw the reveal. I watch these shows either for inspiration or entertainment. This show offers neither and is not just boring but insulting to anyone with an artistic eye.

I tried to like it but 10-15 mins in, I thought, what?
She(Erin? I think) is very annoying. Her personality rubs me the wrong way. Why would u let her embarrass herself with those so called watercolor paintings of houses. Unprofessional for sure. I was shocked and embarrassed for her.
The show gave me anxiety it was so bad. Ugh, don't want to say something too mean but it's def a fail.

Almost unwatchable
April 22, 2017

Perfect example of drone footage done horribly wrong and completely overused. Footage doesn't blend at all with traditional camera shots and the operator makes jerky movements that scream low budget. Professional shots that submerse you into the show are gone and replaced with the one trick pony GoPro and DJI Phantom. I can't take it. Come on guys, don't be so lazy.

Off with "Hometown"
April 21, 2017

Why is this show even still on the air? No more reruns and hopefully no new season please. Stop the torture or your audience will leave you HGTV. This shows no talent, just a mere shadow of the foremat of Fixer Upper (which I looove), nothing original. The female host I saw unappealing, sorry. Her voice is soooo grating to listen to. Enough of this show - chop it off.
