Consumer beware! Nov 2022 I renewed my membership because the first time I used them I received good service. Renewed my membership on the 14th and had a shipment coming in on the 19th. I realized the address didn't update so called to get help on the 15th before the delivery could arrive. Call after Call they continued to tell me how they couldn't help me. I've been hung up on 3 times and never forwarded to a supervisor after continued request. I pay $95 for a product I did not receive. They have no customer service at all. Stay away!
DO NPT USE HELLO FRESH! They don't tell you upfront you're in a subscription. And after the first month they start charging you full price which is double what you paid before. You might as well rounded up to almost $200 for a box of food. I called and called and pleaded to speak to a supervisor. No one cared. No one offered to put a supervisor on the phone. And now I have to wait 24 hours for a supervisor to call me. And there is no guarantee I'm getting my $170 back That I did not authorize nor did I agree to. Share this post and make it go viral. Companies like this should not be allowed to operate. Plus the food was not that good. And they tried everything to keep me from canceling my subscription. What ever you do, don't waste your money. Poor communication and lack of empathy.
If you have an old account, be careful when you log in. I had not used my account since 2019. In 2022 Logging is reactivated my account and charged against an EXPIRED card. After three times calling and getting "disconnected" twice, the company will not make it right. Thankfully my credit card company will. Logging into an account does NOT mean placing an order. NOT HAPPY'!
I was browsing the Hello Fresh website to see what they offered for Thanksgiving dinners and was told I had to re-activate my plan to view the dinner options. I did that and because the meal was for a large group, I opted out OR so I thought. Turns out I was re-subscribed and not only did I receive a subscription meal box, I also received the Thanksgiving meal (and no discounts on anything). I did not receive email confirmations about this and later found out they don't support "sbcglobal" email addresses, hence I had no idea orders had been activated and no chance to cancel timely. Funny that all of their marketing emails make it through to my domain. Also, I was not at home at the time of delivery and could not reject the deliveries. I promptly contacted Hello Fresh about these unexpected deliveries upon receiving them and one of the representatives said, I had not paid for the Thanksgiving dinner so "Happy free Thanksgiving dinner to you". Funny (again) that my credit card was charged for the cost of the "free" Thanksgiving dinner. I talked to 3 reps and had 3 different responses about whether or not I had paid and ultimately (sadly) was not allowed to return or receive a refund. I understand with food it is trickly, but I am clear I did not place an order as one would place an order with any other online store. I am going to donate the Thanksgiving dinner to a local church, however, will no longer donate to Hello Fresh. I will reach out to my credit card company on this matter to see if a charge back is an option.
I tried to use a coupon given to me from a friend. I placed the order tried the coupon it did not work. I cancelled the order as soon as the coupon did not work. You sent the order CHARGED ME $105.00. I called customer service and was told I could not get a refund because the order was already sent. It should not have been sent because it was cancelled with in 5 minutes. She said it showed the account was cancelled. Very disappointed.
I have had thanksgiving week "skipped" since it first appeared. Last week I see they charged me for it, so I check to find it "unskipped". They tell me I changed the meal selection but couldn't identify any changes (and none of the meals were ones I could have chosen).
I called to get a much needed refund…no such luck since it was supposedly too late to stop it. Except…here's the kicker…it was apparently too late to stop my shipment but they could change the delivery date by up to a week AND change out the meals to ones I actually wanted. So, in other words, the box was in no way impossible for them to cancel.
They could have simply given me a refund…now they have lost a long time customer instead, and when people ask me about the service, I'm telling them the honest story and to steer clear of HelloFresh.
Beware-The Hellofresh app automatically sends boxes every week with no choice of picks unless you change the menu. I skipped this week, but for some reason it didn't skip by the skip date and I am out of state this week so I am not there to get delivery and because of the Holiday this week the delivery date is actually 2 days earlier. I contacted Hellofresh first thing this am and they would not cancel delivery or skip until next week, therefore I cancelled my subscription. Most food choices are good, but too repeated each week.
Just had surgery and a friend got me a $75 gift card. After getting the email from hello fresh I spent 30 minutes on line trying to redeem my gift card and order meals. Finally called to speak with a human and after 45 minutes of her finding no gift card for me (I provided the GC code they sent me) it was discovered rhat in 2017 my wife had given them our email to inquire about their service (we never used their service) now I was told since I had a previous account with that email my gift card could not be redeemed because it was for new customers only? I ended up calling my friend and told them thanks for their thoughts but they need to contact hello fresh for a refund. I seriously doubt that will happen and my friend is out $75. Stay away……faraway from this company. I have since read numerous reviews, 95% were how terrible the service is
Signed up just so I could see their vegetarian options since that's the only way to see.
Saw they sucked and immediately cancelled my subscription within the hour.
Wake up the next day to see they've taken $50 from my account and I have three PORK dishes headed to my VEGETARIAN household which I'm told I can't cancel (and that canceling my subscription didn't cancel this order they decided to immediately place on my behalf)
They LIE TO YOU and say you have 4 days to change the order, then how come the very next day I wasn't able to cancel the order I never even placed!
Told they can't help, asked to speak to a manager and told it takes 5-7 days to get a call or email back so the pork is still headed to my house
No way to change your delivery instructions either.

I ordered Hello Fresh and within the hour called and cancelled. I have a charge in my credit card and supposedly food is arriving tomorrow even though I don't want it. They told me I didn't cancel my subscription, just the order. SO BEWARE!
You have to cancel your subscription and your order which is what I thought I had done. I think this is a scam company.
I bought a 90$ gift card for my son...welp,turns out he had to pay more.this site sucks! A gift card means HE PAYS NOTHING!

For the money it wasn't worth it. Potions very small... flavour wasn't there and the final straw was when the ha hamburger wasn't good it was grey and smelt bad! Emailed customer service never heard from them... bottom. Line don't waste your money and just go to the grocery store and get your own food. Don't waste your time ever contacting customer service u will never get a response
This company should be fine and put out of business. You have to pay before you order your meals and there are limited choices. Nothing like what they show you before. The good choices you have to pay extra for and I mean a lot extra. If you order anything with vegs they are old and wilted. Please don't

I was a Hello Fresh customer for 4 months. I found the food quality good, but extremely pricey, and two out of ten boxes had missing items. My tenth and final box contained a double order of fish, potatoes and asparagus - something I had not planned! I was in the middle of making my weekly selections and before I knew it, the HF automated cutoff came and went and even though I had only tentatively selected one of my required two meals per shipment, they sent me two of the same meal. Since this was a "premium" meal, I was charged a total of $86+ ($50.28+$35.96) - for 4 servings of fish - that I had to prepare! The HF customer service response to this - sorry. This was my final purchase from this company!
I just canceled my hello fresh account. Due to terrible customer service. I have a couple of other things even another food box company that have amazing customer service and get my needs taken care of every time to my satisfaction. I have had 2 really bad time consuming interactions with hello fresh and it seems all they care about is getting my $. No more hello fresh for me
They might as well be scammers! I went onto the website because i got a promo code that said it gave me 7 free meals. Not only did the promo code not work, but they also somehow charged me, and set up a subscription with out me doing anything. When i tried to contact them i just got the same massage back worded slightly different. That pretty much said "sucks for you".
I know nothing about the quality of there food, maybe its amazing. But as far as how they treat their costomers, its a no from me.
The items they send are always very close to their expiry date. I've ordered 5 meals and all of them were due to expire within 3 days of arrival - looks like they are cutting costs by using not-so-fresh ingredients.
Also, there are packaging bits like insulation pads that are not recyclable and it is appalling that they do not collect those back - it is not an environmentally friendly business.
I have been a Hello Fresh customer for 3 years. When I recently had trouble with the app and needed to adjust an order, I called customer service. Not only was I told that there was nothing they could do, but the supervisor I talked to was incredibly rude, accused me of lying and told me my business was essentially not important to them. There are way too many meal services out there to provide that poor level of customer service. I cancelled my account and will move on to another company.
Ordered and I was excited. I feed a family of 5-6 sometimes-7. So meal planning is a must. Ordered meal planned that arrival was set. 3 days later... Nothing from the company... Conatcted them. They no problem just send out a new order i will plan accordingly... No luck I had to start all over choose my meals again start a new order maybe wait another week... Fortunately my family relies on me and come thru. This company did not... Not a reliable company... Do not trust them for your family. So for so many... Im not happy.
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
