Our son was born last year, the marketplace entered his his date of birth incorrectly, which resulted in some of the doctors charges being denied by Blue Cross. When we tried to correct this through the marketplace they kept giving us the run around. Blue Cross said there was nothing they could do. We spent over 10 hours on numerous different occasions talking to the marketplace which resulted in nothing. We are almost being sent to collections because of this outstanding $1500 bill & we have been fighting this for 7 wks. We pay for the best BCBS PPO plan which doesn't matter when theres an issue as the customer service is horrible. The service makes no sense, it's as if its intentionally bad.

Stay away, turn around and never come back. I wish i could go back in time and never even think about healthcare.gov ever again. You will leave this place with less of yourself than when you first signed up. The accountability of customer service is the worse than anything I have ever experienced, I still think I'm going to wake up from this nightmare any minute, unfortunately I'm not. If I can save one person from this dreadful experience, the world will be a better place.

Trash!
March 4, 2020

Marketplace is nothing but trash. I'm offended that this is acceptable for the people of america to have to deal with. Every single time I call in they do not have any idea of whats going on with my coverage or the fact that I even have coverage for that matter. Usually end up 3 way calling between my actual health insurance to get anywhere with them taking up lots of time.

Would absolutely recommend no one EVER signs up with healthcare.gov. Absolute SCAM! Make sure you know the fine print when signing up - they have the right to auto enroll you for the next 5 years without ANY consent or knowledge! The coverage is horrible, never have any health care providers with availability in network. Its just all garbage. And again, they enrolled me another year WITHOUT TELLING ME! So now I owe them for insurance I didn't know I had and NEVER signed up for..

This is a by far one of the most expensive health insurances. Huge deductibles, huge bloodwork fees, outrageous ER visits because of the "off network" clinic/hospital etc... Sorry I did not have time to check Cigna's app at 3:20am while I had a massive nose bleed. When you call to select or renew your plan the people on the phone are sort of rude and very under impressed, not a good help at all, not a piece of advice. I ended up getting private insurance with more features and for $28 more a month. Affordable Care Act, yeah right.
If you are computer savvy just do everything online or search for places in your are where people can offer some help with this health insurance options.

Absolutely the worst customer service even when you ask for a manager or supervisor they are rude, uneducated about the process and brush you off easily to figure it out or help yourself. WHY ARE THESE MY OPTIONS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE? I'm paying them with my tax dollars and on the phone for over an hour and still can't get it right!?

Worst customer service ever. Wish I could remember the man's name. Total a**. Asked a simple question and he went on a rant about how people never report things right and expect them to fix it, etc. All I did was ask how many paystubs I needed to send in, because I already sent 2 and got back a letter saying I needed more proof. Like what more proof do you need? I get same check every 2 weeks... do the math people.

I called in on 1/6/2020 to change my address. I wasn't able to do it through Providence. I was told i had to go through the market place. What a disaster. Of course it wasn't an easy change. I had to 37 mins 8 sec in order to change my ADDRESS! And on top of that i get someone who cant even understand. It sounds as if they have a mouth full of marbles. I ask for a manager and i got Dawn! Now Dawn is Just like the Karen videos. As i frustrated customer just trying to change my address her approach to calming me down is to be abrasive and condescending. If i could have pulled this snot nosed millennial through the phone i would have. Beyond pissed that we already have to jump through so many hoops as it is then to have deal with these self entitled brats that think that it is ok to push their own snot nose agendas. Her tone and approach was appealing. Hey Dawn, you take some soap to that mouth of yours. Just saying. Now to continue with my day as i stew on the witch's words.

I sure hope that some poor, sick souls somewhere are benefiting from ObamaCare...

This 40K per year family is getting destroyed by it (Terrible customer service, monthly premiums, deductibles, etc.) I can's write anymore.

Once again the site is unavailable before the deadline has been reached. Only the government can sweep this under the rug! The picture below is what I got when trying to log in. Needless to say, the telephone lines were inoperative also.

I've been to porn sites that are more intelligent and streamlined than this nightmare. Tried to enroll 3 times, each time it asked me the same information that I had already just given, and then about midway through it just says the server is down. All I wanted to know was what plans covered what and whether I qualified. The working poor and middle class people I have talked to tell me the prices are outrageous anyway and barely cover anything. I guess I'm just going to have to pay out of pocket up front for my primary and if a catastrophic event happens I'm screwed.

This is purely a one person customer service review. After hours on the phone with a sleuth of of people who kept dropping my call and had absolutely NO clue what they were talking about (I was only trying to reset my password and re-enroll for goodness sakes!) finally got someone to help me and answer all my questions. Thanks Delilah! (*one star deducted because the others were so pain stakingly terrible).

My son called HealthCare Marketplace back today because when he applied on 11/8 for December 2019 coverage with a girl named Tia, he told her he wanted the $600 deductible plan that covered prescription drugs BEFORE the deductible was met. I found out while trying to fill a prescription today for him that she put him down for the plan where you had to pay the deductible first resulting in his prescription costing $415, which he can not afford! When he called there today, a "supervisor", a woman who sounded Mexican or something, told him he could appeal but it would take 30 days blah blah blah. When he went off on her asking her how he was going to get the drugs he needs now and about how he picked the right plan and THEY were the ones who put down the wrong one, ms. Professional supervisor hung up on him. That was her answer to his problem which THEY caused! These people need to be cleaned out and replaced with actual professionals! No wonder why they have NEVER gotten one good review! Typical clueless government workers and the so-called supervisors are totally unprofessional and suck!

I am an agent who helps people to apply for health plans. Building of this system/website costed billions of dollars, but has so many bugs, which wasted a lot of my time.

1. When my clients wanted to change just a little information, you have to go over all the steps one by one. This year, 2019, this system may be updated and a lot immigration status information were lost, I have to let them clients to send their green card, citizen shipment, etc immigration proofs, which wasted so much my and my clients' time.

2. Often it stops during application processing, and lost some data.

3. Has problems to remove a person from application

4. Verification has problem. For some applications it wouldn't give me a window allowing me to upload customers immigration proofs. AND, I sent the proofs to them by regular mails, but never got verified.

5, 6, 7, etc more more

... in that case, you get a good deal. For everyone else who makes enough to not be considered poor, but who doesn't get health insurance through their job (ie myself, I work as a nanny and make decent money) then you're screwed. Get this socialist CRAP out of our country already, I'm tired of having to pay for other people's healthcare just because I'm successful in life! All for insanely overpriced plans with bad coverage. For 1 person they charge $600/month premium for their one and only halfway decent plan! Healthcare.gov actually rewards you for making less money, and punishes you if you make more.

Marketplace.gov
December 7, 2019

I would like to inform the US government and everyone on particular that the supervisor of the marketplace.gov her name is KiKi Feven was so rude and yelling at me for asking questions. She sent me away to do it by myself or find somebody else. She is so unprofessional, and she needs to be trained properly to deal with customers not to tell at them. She is not qualify to be a supervisor. She has bad temper.

GIANT WASTE OF TIME
December 4, 2019

It took me 45 minutes to fill out my info, including having to input mine and my husbands SS#, only to find out that we are only eligible for insurance off the "Marketplace". I was never successful in finding the plans to review. Today, I had almost 30 calls from insurance companies soliciting me... I never gave my info to any of these companies so they are getting your information from the healthcare.gov site. Our income is above the poverty level so this site was useless. They go off your gross income and don't take into account any of the daily expenses we all have that makes most of these plans not affordable to the average working family. This was a giant waste of time not to mention I'm being harassed daily now by the idiot insurance companies.

I just spent 3 hours wandering around a site that navigates like a car with no wheels in a maze!
Links don't work, error messages when trying to save completed work, suggestions to log out and back in that don't work, loss of data entered that wouldn't save, and the list goes on and on.
If I ran my business like the government runs the "Healthcare.gov" website, I wouldn't have a business!
