The basket I ordered was sent as a surpirse anniversary gift, but it arrived 4 days late. It turned out to be a total disappointment and extremely embarrassing! The items in the basket were of poor quality and not what I ordered. I paid an upcharge for Moet & Chandon champagne, but the basket contained Andre. The chocolate covered strawberries were smashed and the chocolate melted. The company did promise (I have not yet received it) a partial refund. Although I am grateful for that, it does not take away from the fact that what was intended to be a nice quality gift turned out to be an embarrassment! This gift basket was not worth the high price that I paid for it. I will NOT be a repeat customer at Hazelton GIft Baskets and highly recommend staying away from this company!

Stay away of this place! Total scam! Payed extra for two day shipping and will arrive 10 days later (if it arrives). They don't return the money and don't care at all about your frustration of not receiving a gift you payed extra to receive on time. So sorry I didn't see all the terrible reviews before buying this. Don't buy here!

I arrange a birthday package delivery to my son for March 13. I will admit that I messed up on the delivery choice BUT, aside from that, I had ordered a Shiraz and they substituted a different red (not a Shiraz) in place of what I ordered and paid for. My son said it tasted awful and tasted like the cheapest red they could find. I also ordered cupcakes. The cupcakes arrived, tossed around in the box and icing everywhere.
When I complained, I was initially told I would get a refund and then told that I wouldn't. Their argument was that they had the right to substitute. The wine I chose is common (Yellow Tail Shiraz) and they chose a cheaper red from the Yellow Tail line. I complained that they should have substituted at least a different brand of Shiraz.
As for the cupcakes, their argument was they don't recommend sending perishables (then why offer that option?) and if so, to choose express delivery. How express delivery would change how the delivery company handled the package is beyond me.
They also said that while the cupcakes were tossed about, they were still in the box and edible! This is such a ludicrous and insulting comment when you are sending a surprise birthday package. Presentation matters!
These people stopped responding to me and never provided any form of compensation. I wasted over $90.00 for 4 damaged cupcakes, a bottle of cheap wine and a balloon. NEVER AGAIN. Be WARNED!

Zero Customer Service.

I ordered the champagne and strawberries. On the website, it said that same day delivery was available. To make sure, I called customer service. At first it said I was 2nd in line for the agent, and that I would have to wait 1 minute. Then it would add minutes every time I was told how long I would have to wait. I never did get through after 3 times and an hour waiting on the phone. My delivery was 5 days late. They also did not allow me to cancel. It is a terrible company. Avoid at all costs

Bait and Switch

I ordered a Mickey Mouse jelly bean dispenser and they delivered a plain jellybean dispenser instead. They did not inform me they were switching the items. The company would not refund my money or send the real thing. Customer service was unavailable by phone and didn't return my messages. They were slow to respond my emails. I am extremely disappointed and will never shop at Hazeltons again.

Ordered well in advance of Christmas to arrive before Christmas. The website was stunning and I was impressed with so much selection. I'm embarrassed I never googled them to learn more about their business model. Their customer service was unresponsive when it never showed up. When it finally did show up in January, nearly everything was substituted. I saw all the negative press they received, and I don't understand how they aren't just shut down. What can consumers do?

Scam they will steal your money

Lesson learned had I saw the reviews I would not have ordered. It's been over a week and I still haven't received anything. Customer service is shady and they all give you the same scripted responses. There are so many other reputable gift basket companies DO NOT order from them and warn anyone else.

Ordered a custom gift basket for a family member this year (2022). I picked out two bottles of Rose (cupcake, apothecary) a bottle of Johnny Walker red label, three cheeses (welsh cheddar, Irish porter cheddar, apple tree smoked)

I picked these items based on my family members preferences in wine/liquor and that I recently traveled all over Ireland.

My family member told me that they received two bottles of Rose (Josh, Oyster) and three packs of Habaneros & JalapeƱo cheese. SO NOT ONE SINGLE ITEM WAS CORRECT IN THIS ORDER, BETTER YET THEY JUST DECIDED TO OMIT ONE ITEM ALL TOGETHER NOT EVEN TRYING TO SCREW UP AND SEND THE WRONG ONE! I can see the wine change as somewhat understandable, but my family member doesn't like hot and overly spicy items so the cheese would be a waste and they omitted the whiskey.

I reached out to the company 5-10 times via phone, all the calls went to a general voicemail (no matter what department you tried calling), I left several voicemails requesting calls. Finally I sent customer service an email letting them know that if I didn't hear back from them by a certain time I would dispute the charges. Customer service (Jincy) reached out and said that they have the right to substitute items at their discretion and they were only willing to refund me for the missing liquor. LET ME SAY THIS LOUD FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK, IF I HAD NOT TALKED WITH THE RECEIPIENT AND FOUND OUT THINGS WERE MISSING THEY WOULD NOT HAVE REFUNDED ME. I gave customer service the option to either refund all my money, provide a shipping ticket and ill have it sent back for a full refund or send me the correct items and we will send back the incorrect. Customer DisService (Jincy) said they only option woulds be to refund me the cost of the whiskey or I can return it all and take a 50% hit on it.

All while dealing with Customer DisService (Jincy) I've been researching about this and I found a bunch of reviews about how similar things had happened to them. SO PLEASE STAY AWAY YOU'RE ORDER WILL BE SCREWED UP, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONE EXISTENT, THEIR SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE BECOMING CLEARER

I ordered a gift basket to be sent on December 23,2022 and the order was never shipped and never arrived, yet they still charged me for my order. I emailed the customer service department repeatedly to find out how I could get a refund and they refused to refund me my money despite the fact they never sent the basket. I am still fighting with them to get my money, but their customer service and service in general is horrible. Do not suggest you order from them as I think it is a scam. You will get charged but no product!

They guaranteed the basket on a certain day which was the only reason it was ordered! Then it was delivered 6 days later (AFTER repeated calls and emails asking to be canceled) to the house where the people were not there. They had plenty of time to cancel the order since they did NOT deliver it on the Guaranteed date they said they could have it there! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO THE RIGH THING! If you like throwing your hard earned money away though...this is the place.

I wish zero stars was an option

I would give zero stars if that was an option. I paid for same-day delivery, and they refused to deliver it the same day. After much back and forth, I asked for a refund and to cancel it (before anything was made or delivered), and they refused. The customer service rep I spoke with was so incredibly rude. I wish I had looked up the company before placing an order with them, because every website has lots of 1 star reviews. This company is a scam.

International Order Failure! ZERO STARS!

Terrible international service! They charged me upwards of $220USD then an additional $22USD for a "Custom Gourmet Order" that was filled at the destination country like a child had made selections in a local strip mall convenience store! I paid for a chocolate cake, cheeses, dips, bread and tapenade and received celo bags full of instant coffee, and supermarket cookies and chocolate bars. To know this company is getting away with cheating people out of so much money and hiding behind their "Terms and Conditions" is heartbreaking! Shame on you #Hazeltongiftbaskets!

I have never written a review of a company in my life (and I'm 60 years old), but I feel compelled to in the case of Hazelton's because I am shocked at how I've been treated by their 'customer service'. The 'Manager' Oscar sneered at me and was extremely rude, and when I said I was protected by consumer rights, he said, 'Yeah, good luck with that'. I spent a large sum of money on a hamper before realising almost instantly it was a scam company after finding out they don't reply by phone, they have no provision for gift cards, and online reviews said hampers that were delivered in no way resembled what was pictured online. When I tried to cancel the order minutes after making it - i. E. before it was prepared or shipped - Hazeltons said no refunds were possible and shipped it anyway. I tried to have goods returned to them but the courier company said order for a return would have to come from Hazeltons, and the latter refused to receive the goods back. When I said my bank was looking into this, they said they weren't bothered and I wasn't getting a refund. Anyway, bank has upheld the fact that they have acted dishonestly and contrary to consumer rights and has reimbursed me. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN FOR FRAUD

Terrible service - DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY
Very dissatisfied with my purchase. If I could, I would give 0 stars. I requested my gift to be delivered on a specific day because my friends were getting married and after that they would be on their honey moon. This company did not deliver the gift basket on the day I selected. They tried to deliver on the following week, and of course, my friends were not at home on that day because they were on honey moon. After that they took the gift to another place to be picked up, but nobody would be able to pick it up, as I live 4 hours flight away, and my friends were on their honey moon. I contacted customer service and explained the whole situation, they were not helpful and rude, stating that they would not give a refund if the gift was not picked up and that the blame was on me. They also didn't leave a note at the door of my friends house asking them to go pick it up and saying the exact address of where it was. I still have not solved the problem. I am trying to get someone else to go pick this up as they would not give me a refund for this terrible misunderstanding. I regret enormously to have spent my money on this company, I should have bought from a local company that cares for their customers. PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY TO HAVE A GIFT BECOME AN INCONVENIENCE!

Terrible customer service for late delivery

When ordering a gift basket, the delivery date is pretty important.

The gift basket still hasn't been delivered and all the customer service reps will say is to continue checking the tracking info.

Find a different company to order from. Any other gift basket company will do better.

Horrible Customer Service

Ordered but cut and paste address with one number short. The package wasn't delivered and when I asked them to change the address, they told me to contact the courier company. It was closed all weekend. They also said I would have to pickup the package from the courier company. It was a birthday present for a 75 woman who requires oxygen and cannot drive a car. They also said I could not cancel and they would not give a refund, even though I didn't even ask for one. I only wanted the address corrected and shipped. They refused to help at all. Absolutely worst customer service I received in years. Hope you have no problems with your order if you do choose to work with them.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering wedding gift for my family! Absolute scam. I ordered champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. First, order arrived late and there were no strawberries! Basket was broken and the gift card was missing. Cannot believe this business still exist and operating. The customer service is absolutely terrible - you can only speak to them via email where they don't respond for days and they don't want to help you anyway. Do not deal with these scammers, waste of time and money! So disappointed.
