Harry & David deserves a great review. I've been ordering from them for a couple a years & I have not been disappointed. My friends live out of state, and the make gift giving easier. I just ordered a holiday gift which they received in less than a week & they love it! It was an adorable holiday personalized gnome cookie jar with their family members names on it-so cute! I think the shipping cost was worth it since I didn't have to do it. In addition, whenever anyone sends me a gift from Harry & Davids- its always very good.
Costumer service sucks! Don't follow their own guarantee or stand by it. My friends & I were very disappointed in the products without satisfaction. Even the supervisor wouldn't even get on the phone.
I placed a rush order (3 items) and was given the llchoice of paying extra for expedited shipping. I was charged $47.95 for shipping and then found out delivery is delayed. When I called customer service they informed me $47.95 is standard shipping for my 3 items. Ridiculous! I will NEVER order from them again and will make sure to tell my story as often as possible so others aren't screwed like this!
I have been trying to place a $$$ corporate order for several weeks now. Emails & phone calls not returned, or dropped, transferred to no one. The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. TERRIBLE! How are they even in business anymore?
I ordered a gift for friends we visited and it was as promised. Then I was sent an email for free shipping on any order - no minimum. I went to the site to consider gifts for our neighbors. I found a pears, apples, and cheese for $59.99 with promotion of buy one-get on 1/2 off. It was more than I wanted to pay but I went ahead and ordered. It was late night. $70 more than expected. I called the next morning thinking they would refund the 1/2 off part but they refused and said it was a correct price. I tried emailing the next day and sent multiple emails that were answered by different people and had to explain the issue multiple times with no satisfaction. I called again the next day and was told that the bill was correct and that they didn't honor multiple promotions on the same order. I will no longer be a customer.
Ordered a basket with tax came to $192. Checked my checking account next day and they charged me $192 twice. When I called a barely English speaking person said oh we put a hold on the amount to make sure we don't get ripped off, you will get your money back in 7 business days. I have never had an online company charge me a hold and it will be the last time. So they have $400 of my money and I have to wait 7 days to get 200 back. I will never order from Harry and David again. Also customer service is in India, and they put you on hold and never get back to you. Twice I was on hold for over 15 minutes and still getting no one to tell me why.

Rotten fruit in shipment received, and other items in ruin. Extreme hold times with customer service only to receive minimal, very weak effort a t service recovery. Could not even get a full refund. A terrible experience all around.

OMG I wished I would have seen ALL THEIR BAD REVIEWS I ordered their thanksgiving whole meal over 400.00 with additional dishes and all I got was a turkey and one dish! Could not believe it and when I called them they said they would send me the rest of dishes on Monday! Thanksgiving is on thursday you idiot Harry and David you ruined my thanksgiving and will be giving you as many as bad reviews anywhere I can! If I can give a 0 rating I would!

You might expect Service and Quality – WRONG! Here's the reality:
• 8 Mistakes (8 inexcusable mistakes)
• 4 Hours of my time – wasted
• 4 Inconsequential e-mails from Customer Services Support
• 2 Incompetent, inept supervisors
• 2 Appallingly ignorant, poorly-trained sales associates
What's the icing on the cake? My surprise gift basket was delivered on the wrong date – 11-days too early! And yes, the delivery date was clearly stated on the order!
BTW, my name is incorrect, not once, but in two different places – and cannot be corrected!
Want to waste your time and money... Harry and David is where incompetence and waste shamefully meet.

Could not order on their website so called and got someone in the Philippines. It took 1 hr to order.
After 7 years of ordering all my corporate Christmas Gifts through Harry and David, and after checking to make sure they were not owned by the same company, I kept my promise of never ordering from Harry and David again and just completed my corporate Christmas gift shopping through Mrs. Fields cookies. It didn't have to be this way, but their reprehensible approach to customer service offended me to such a degree that I couldn't just simply walk away dissatisfied. Now I cringe when I hear the name.
I reordered a gift (12-mo fruit subscription) for next year and added a gift for another person. The system changed my original order to the other person's address. When I called, CS said they couldn't do anything since it was already placed. After 3 hours on the phone, they finally said it was corrected (new order) and got my discounted price. A few weeks later the order disappears from my H&D account. I call CS- another 2 hours. Said I had to reorder and they would cancel original order. Promised I would be refunded.
Now they sent 2 orders for the first month and have charged me 2 more times. I have no credits. Another call to CS- another 2 hours. CS rep gave me answers in circles again. Always changing her answers and never directly answering any of my questions. So now I have paid $1700 for some fruit. Awesome!
I placed an order on 11/29/22. Called within 10 minutes as I noted that the order total was WAY out of whack with what I ordered. Turned out that the online ordering site was sending 4 gift baskets to the same recipient (it should have been 4 gift baskets, 1 each to 4 recipients). Told I couldn't yet cancel or modify the order because it hadn't processed 'in the system'. Initiated chat online 5 minutes later and told that the order couldn't be modified because it had already processed. Told her that was impossible. Called and was told that 3 of the gift baskets going to 1 of my recipients would be canceled and they would either call me back or send me an email. This morning, having received neither a phone call or email, I logged in to find that the 4 gift baskets had already shipped to the 1 recipient. Have been on the phone 3 times now, being put on hold multiple times to 'confirm my order', and now being told they can't find the order. I will be disputing the ENTIRE charge with my credit card company. This is no way to treat a customer. I could only upload 1 image as there are 6 pages to the order.
My father bought me a gift basket for thanksgiving since we couldn't spend it together. The box was late. Came yesterday 11/29/22 but some of the fruit was rotten and the carmel in the glass was all broken. Unacceptable…. Told my dad to get his money back
Because I've used Harry & David's hundreds of times in the past for work, I was initially excited to order their Thanksgiving Feast online...and that is where the excitement ended. I paid an extra fee to have the order delivered...not only was the package not delivered on time, the customer service representative spent more time trying to upsell me and putting me on hold. Super disappointed in the quality of food, packaging and for the cost just really expected them to have higher standards on what they delivered.
Our company ordered 3 wine gift boxes on 11/10. This should have arrived on 11/21. What we actually was 1 gift box. We contacted the company to request our other 2 boxes. We spoke to a lady that did not speak clear English so It did not sound like she understood what we needed, We were put on hold several times in a hour long period, waiting for a manager to speak with us, the same lady kept picking up and telling us she was talking to her supervisor, that we asked to speak to? That was a week ago, we have still not spoken to a manager nor received our other 2 gift boxes. We tried calling in again, just to be hung up on twice by customer service. We received an email with tracking saying that our order has delivered and that there was nothing more this company can help with, but yet nothing was resolved, we do not have what we ordered and no one will help. Overall very poor customer service!
I ordered Thanksgiving meal for my family this year. It didn't arrive. I was on the phone to thousands of different agents in Philippines as thats where they outsource their labor. Terrible service, no explanation and simply no idea why this happened. The sad part when finally got a hold of someone in the US, they simply offered a 20% of the next purchase, like I would ever purchase from them again. Please be wary!
We had guests for Thanksgiving dinner and I was very late to order turkeys! Thank God for Harry and David! I ordered a couple of turkeys from them and was hoping that they would not be disappointing! To my great surprise, they were MUCH better than I expected. Not only that the turkeys arrived on time, they were easy to warm up, and they were moist, tender, and really delicious! What a treat and a face saver!
We ordered a smoked turkey, cheesecake, and street corn, stuffing, and baked potatoes for Thanksgiving. Only the smoked turkey and cheesecake came, and the Turkey was undercooked. The cheesecake wasn't bad, only because they probably didn't make it. Then they gave me c&*p about a refund. These people should be called the Fleece brothers instead of Harry and David.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
