I've been a Harbor Freight customers for years. I learned today the gentleman that has helped me on numerous occasions in Statesboro, Ga. - is the manager. My name is Ken and I buy and sell stuff for lung transplant fund. Bought a 10x17' portable garage from harbor freight in Jacksonville NC. 1.5yrs ago, I keep all my sales items under my garage & I called this past week may 31 - 2020 talked to a supervisor, was told to bring it back, and they will trade it out for a new one. Mind you I bought a 2 yr. Warranty. Well itook it down, took it back, only to find that they didn't have another one. Now I paid $50.00 for the warranty. Told me to call back the following day. Did that, no tent, said they were getting a truck that evening, no 10x17. Called back Friday June 5th. Talked to a manager. She got $#*!ty with me & said I'm sorry I don't know when we will get any of those back in.we don't get to order.the company sends us what ever they want, so they refunded my purchase price but not my warranty payment.so now I have all my lung transplant fund furniture on the floor I built inside of it with a tarp throughn over it. Needless to say I'm on 8 liters of oxygen 24/7.and saying they won't get another truck until Friday the 12th of June. Harbor freight corporate y'all should be ashamed of the way you treat your customers. I have been a loyal customer since California 30 years ago or longer. You can damn well believe not no more.im going to shame your company all I can, I want the public to know just how sorry the co. Has treated me. Ordered some storage containers on 4/26/20 and as of 5/26/20 the order still shows as Pending even though they have already been paid. Cannot get anybody on the phone as they hang up once you get past the automated system and emails are either ignored or answered a week later with a standard copy/paste response. Company also refuses to cancel the order claiming it's processed but order status states pending.
Harbor Freight is UNRESPONSIVE! I cancelled my order but they shipped it anyway several days after I cancelled it.
Ordered item April 22. Did not ship for several weeks. Could not wait any longer so I cancelled order on May 11, prior to the item shipping. Was told on May 14th that they could not guarantee it would not ship and that I needed to refuse shipment. I checked order status on May 14th and the item had not shipped. On May 15 I received notification that the item shipped and is scheduled to be delivered on May 22. I will not be home to refuse shipment. Aargh!
I ordered a Predator chipper 4/10/2020. Received same 4/30 box and mounting hardware open and missing items. Emailed service about missing items and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I could return it to a harbor freight store. I have sent a second email as the weight of this item makes it impossible for me to return.
After a couple emails customer service rep Rick understood my request and ordered the missing items. I have updated my original one star to three stars
Bought a jack for my 4wheeler. Kinda cheap made but it works online problem was it was missing the handle so I went back and they pulled one from other box hahahah
Ordered online and confirmation said would ship in 7 to 10 days. After 16 days hadn't shipped yet so tried to cancel order. Customer service wouldn't cancel it as order was being processed. The rude customer service representative said I could return it to the store when it came to get my money back. Stores are 120 miles from me and none in my immediate area. They are the most horrible online experience I have ever had. Now they have shipped after a month. Amazing to me why they claim they didn't have enough time to cancel.
Seems the owner Eric Smuck, had decided to give away all PPE, and screwing the general public with NOTHING. It is the GOVERNMENTS job to provide PPE, NOT harbor freight tools. I'm sure he had all the PPE, for himself and his family, and only cares about a big tax credit, as we all suffer his IGNORANCE.
Purchase 3/4 drive set. Seemed oh but after 1 week cracked. Was able swap and second one did same. Wasted time
Ordered a 72" rolling toolbox and a 56" top online, since the store does not carry 72" in stock. Hadn't heard anything on shipping after 7 days so I called. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, I was told they were in stock and would be shipped next day. Waited 3 more days and no shipping confirmation received. Called back and was told items were now back ordered. If I wanted to wait another 30 days they would put the order in again. I told them I would like a refund and was immediately hung up on. Waited another day for the order cancellation confirmation, and did not get one, so I called for the third time. Waited another 20 minutes and was told my order was not cancelled, but they would now cancel it. Woman was quite rude and acted like she was going out of her way to cancel the order. My question are, If I hadn't kept calling, would they ever have notified me the items were on backorder? What kind of business model is that?
This is my second order (# *******). I should have known better since my first order was screwed up and took forever with missing products. As of today, this one seems to be a duplicate of the problem I had before. I will update and share how this order turns out. Hopefully, I will receive this order before the Covid-19 virus strikes! I shop a lot online and I review every company/product to help others. I am starting a new youtube channel as well to brag, or shame companies who take advantage of us consumers. I'm 100% unbiased... all I expect is treat us right!

After calling Harbor Freight several days ago I finally received my order. They do have good prices, however, shipping SUCKS! I wish they'd contact me for a position in their warehouse... Something I'd love!
Do not buy a 25 Ft. Drain Cleaner With Drill Attachment at Harbor Freight unless you love being punished! Both models are junk! You are guaranteed to love it! It will break apart the first time you use it, and you will cherish the moment, remembering forever how " truly great" it is, and you will lust after it for more! My drain snake broke apart on it's first use just like another reviewer! The 2nd picture shows the snake put back inside of the unit in reverse to seal it's fate with the snake fully pushed inside of it (using a pen), and duct tape over the hole to prevent the snake from dangerously leaving the device ever again (to prevent a freak accident)!
I've been a fan or Harbor Freight for years BUT I had no idea how BAD their online ordering system was/is. I ordered a battery charger and a little tool dolly online even though there is a Harbor freight store right down the road from me. It was Sunday and I was lazy and I heard you could not order online and pick up in the store BUT I did figure my stuff would be here in a couple of days right, wrong! It's now the second week of NEXT YEAR and my stuff hasn't arrived yet. I tried to cancel my order last week and OMG what a MORON thios girl was. And NO, she don't escape criticisms because of Harbor Freights online ordering policies, she get stuck with the criticisms because she CHOOSES to work there and she has to be familiar with what going on! It was like talking to someone with Artificial intelligence minus the Intelligence!

Two weeks ago, I bought a Harbor Freight power auger to bore post holes with for a project. I used it a couple of times and then it wouldn't start no matter what I tried. The carburetor was bad and allowing gas to get into the air filter. I called their technical support and they were polite and all. But when I asked them for a replacement carburetor, they told me they didn't have any. It's a part used on many of the small gas engines in various tools they sell. But, they didn't have that part and told to take it back to the store and exchange it. So I did take it back only to be told they didn't have any and the next closest store didn't have any. But, a store 60 miles away might have one. They couldn't even tell me if more gas augers would be in soon. They gave me my money back. So, I have a project and no tool. I had even bought their extended guarantee. But, that didn't fix the problem. They wasted my time and gas while providing no support and no tool to exchange. Don't buy anything from them if you depend on it to work when you need it. You will be disappointed.
I ordered 3 small dollies at the end of July. Its now the 12 of August and I do not have my items as of yet. I will never mail order again from Harbor Freight. Go to the store and pick it up. If they don't have it in the store, wait until they do. They need to lessons from Amazon and some of the other major mail order suppliers. If you can't do it, don't offer the service.
Going to the store and picking up your order is ok. They have good tools for the dollar. BUT... If you order online it will take you 3 to 4 weeks to receive your goods. Then when you call customer support, they have no idea what is going on.
This place sucks for online ordering. If you order and it says pending, you're screwed. None of their idiot operators will be able to tell you what is going on and you won't be able to cancel. If you can't go into the store, DON'T ORDER ONLINE.
I have shopped Harbor Freight for a lot of years now and I personally like them. Their tools may not be as good or last as long as your $100-$200 tools but when money is an issue they work just fine and last long enough.
On April 26,2019 I purchased a four channel wireless security system for my home. One of the selling points was being able to monitor the camera on line. After mounting the cameras and connecting the receiver to the everything work fine. Other that setting the date and time no others settings had to be made. Unit worked fine until June 20th. Then it became impossible to monitor the camera on line. The receiver shows it is not connected to the web. Swapped cables and port and no luck. Called Harbor Freight technical support and the person with whom I spoke told me "we have never had one of these unit fail. The problem is with your ISP". Bull. One device does not connect, regardless of setting and it the Harbor Freight product. I was also told to tinker with the router settings. But I don't own the router.
Answer: I spent 24 minutes on the phone with them only to be told their product was perfect and problem was with my network. The person did not have a clue about what he was talking about.
Answer: I cannot see the particular part you are inquiring about, but could you make something to work? I am thinking you are referring to the notched piece that the handle locks into. Remember, you do not need to duplicate the piece, just make one that works. If you want to send me a picture I would have a better idea.
