I purchased two coloring kits through Groupon from Qualtry. The vendor informed me after six weeks of my order placement that they cannot fulfill the order because they are out of stock. The vendor graciously refunded the shipping fees and canceled my order promptly without any problem. However, Groupon will not refund my $48.95 by crediting to my visa. Instead Groupon refunded me in Groupon Bucks. I paid in real money ($) and am entitle to get my money refunded in real money. Can I take Groupon Bucks to Walmart or any other toy store to buy stuff for my kids. Groupon always gives you hard time in refunding money because they keep hold on buyers' money so that buyer will end up buying another crap from Groupon.
I have given 1 star rating because there is no lower than 1 star. In fact, my actual rating for Groupon's Cusoter Care model is negative 10 (-10 star).
This is a lesson learned for me dealing with Groupon in these days of Financial hardship due to Covid 19. While other businesses are sympathetic and understand their customer's problem, Groupon company is looking for itself by making profit while dealing with unscrupulous sellers. I will not buy again from Groupon.

I take back my first review. I was able to contact them today and they gave me a refund very quickly. I found a link for a live chat.
Customer support is atrocious... if you have previous communication... they claim that they can't see it... they make you go over the whole issue again from the beginning... today customer support was from
South Africa... when they offer you Groupon Bucks as refund don't assume that they will apply them to your account?... I had to go back to them numerous times... I anything goes wrong... they throw you under the bus to fight it out with the vendor who probably knows that there will be no consequences either way... they should look to Amazon who has amazing customer service... For customer service I give Amazon 97 out of 100... I give Groupon 3 out of 100. Get off their site as fast as you can and block their promotions in case you get temped!

It's a good website they let me use my promo code today. I had an issue with chatting but today it allowing me to buy with promo code.
I purchased a product from groupon and waited 10 days to receive it only to find out that the package was emptied then I ordered a second time a waited another 10 days and the same thing happened nothing was delivered they don't want to give me my money back so I'm forced to buy from them worst company to buy from.
I am writing this review as I am very dissatisfied with my recent experience with Groupon's costumer support. Due to COVID-19, an event which I purchased 4 tickets for was cancelled. I bought these tickets for my supposed to be out of town guests. As the event was cancelled and travel restrictions were placed, we were clearly no longer going to attend this event. The event has not been postponed, and even if it does get postponed, we will not be attending it due to the circumstances. Not only do we no longer want to attend the event IF it is postponed, we need to support our families as best we can which includes financial matters. Groupon refused to issue the refund. Groupon explicitly stated that they put their merchant connections first. While I am sympathetic toward all that are negatively impacted at this time, it is unfortunate that Groupon is not to their costumers. This negative and selfish experience (on Groupon's end) has completely changed my outlook of this business. It speaks volumes when the costumer is not put first, especially during a time like this. I used to think Groupon was a business which valued giving their costumers good experiences at a discounted rate. At least, that's not how they've been taught to sell it. From this experience, I learned that Groupon values revenue over costumer satisfaction. By knowing this, I will no longer support this business.
My husband and I purchased a spa package through Groupon. The date of our spa appointment fell within the stay-at-home order for the pandemic. My husband is currently only on part-time hours as opposed to the 50 he was working before this happened. I contacted Groupon asking for the refund of my $250 so I could buy groceries and formula for my family due to lack of income. I explained my situation and they could have cared less. They refunded me Groupon bucks. I went on to see if I could find some sort of grocery store or gift card for grocery store to purchase food and the only options on their website is junk food or wine. So I can feed my toddler junk food and tell my 6 month old tough luck because there's no formula on Groupon. I will not be using this website any longer. Waste of $250. Thanks for nothing Groupon.
Bought product, Qty 2. Voucher. Went to redeem immediately. The vendor said not available and apologies and said I can have refund. Refund comes from Groupon and they won't refund the money. They want to give a credit. Bottom line is they are selling products and services that are sometimes not available. BUYER BEWARE
I purchased an item from Groupon, they never shipped the item, and when I asked for a refund I was told I couldn't get my money back! Groupon can list an item to get your money in the system, don't ship and force you to buy another item! Can you spell SCAM! They don't have the right to determine how you spend your money! Don't buy from this company!
The company refused to refund my purchase during COVID-19. I had to reach out to them 5-6 separate times and had been jerked around with every experience. Nothing was straightforward, they gave the same pre-written response every time. I had to request my refund due to the pandemic and being relocated on military orders. They were entirely apathetic towards my situation. I have had so much of my time wasted, and I am still frustrated that these crooks got away with it.
I contacted customer support to get a refund for an unused Groupon that I purchased and was unable to use due to the fact that the merchant went out of business before I was able to claim the service. First of all, you cannot contact anyone via phone, so you're left with an online chat center located who knows where. After explaining the situation multiple times, they flat out refused to offer me a credit or a refund. In light of what happened, I basically feel that Groupon stole the money from me and kept it all for themselves without the defunct merchant or I reaping any benefit whatsoever. Terrible policy, poor customer service, and dishonest business practices all the way around.
I have been using Groupon for a number of years and had the first sign of potential problems last year with an unfulfilled order which I had to chase when it never arrived.
In early March, well in advance of lockdown, I placed 2 orders. One I received a refund for without any prior notification or explanation and the second they wrote to me about on 20th March to advise the supplier could not fulfil the order. It was outside the designated time for delivery so I followed this up when I did not receive the refund.
I followed it up again and again and again receiving the same generic cut and paste responses which made it more infuriating so I made a claim through Paypal on 27/3/20.
I was still chasing Groupon who, through they obvious outsourced Customer Service, kept sending me these annoying cut and paste replies.
Finally, I received my refund through Paypal. Groupon failed to respond so obviously Paypal found in my favour.
Today, 24/4/20, Groupon have written again telling me they have cancelled the order despite not referring to their email of 20/3/20 when they told me they were unable to fulfil it, and they were issuing me a refund.
Disgraceful business practise, misleading offers they cannot fulfil (and this was prior to lockdown) and the most appalling and incompetent Customer Service. Hopefully someone in the UK sector of Groupon will read this as I am now about to cancel my account with Groupon and suggest anyone thinking of placing an order think twice about doing so especially in times like these when a big Company refuses to refund money they have already undertaken to pay back to the extent I had to get Paypal to intervene.
Unfortunately it is not an easy job to cancel your account which makes it even worse
Do not buy from Groupon. I purchased 2 Groupons for my husband's 40th birthday which we had to cancel going because of Covid. Nashville isn't opening entertainment until phase 3 so my Groupons will likely expire. I wanted a refund and they refused, stating to only give a credit (which has to be used in 8 weeks) and refused to let me speak to a manager. I can not believe that a company would not give money back to people for items they are unable to use. It's not our fault we can't use them. I will not buy another Groupon and will be telling my friends not to as well. What a crappy company.
Two packages were not delivered and although I paid them cash for the missing items they want me to accept Groupon Bucks to still spend money with them. I have been using Amazon and never had any issues with refunds or returns. Groupon is using COVID 19 to rip customers off. I do not recommend Groupon for online shopping.

I purchased groupons before the shut down. I contacted groupon to recieve a refund due to needing the money due to circumstances have changed. Instead of helping me they offered me bucks. I will no longer use groupon and I have used them over 3 years.
I paid $35 for a reflexology massage on Groupon & the night before the massage I got a call from the therapist & because of conflicting schedules she had to cancel & this was on sept 25 2019 & to this day after trying numerous times to set up another appt to no avail I still can't get a massage & u know the ironic part about this all is they don't have a phone number to call, don't waste your money.
HORRENDOUS Company! I purchased pants that offered a full refund if returned within 7 days of receipt. The clothing was sent with a HOLE in the pants and I contacted Groupon 2 days after receipt so well within my 7 days. They refused to help or answer a single question! Instead they cancelled my account. They stole my money, sent a DEFECTIVE item and wouldnt communicate! Shouldn't penalize the customer for sending them a DEFECTIVE item. Why do they not honor the item description? Why list that full refunds available if Groupon refuses to honor it? Why offer chat or email if refusing to answer any questions? In times such as these most companies are looking out for their fellow Americans, while Groupon is stealing money from their customers, ignoring questions and treating people like crap. I was a customer for many years but after the way I was treated and punished I will never use them again! Save yourself from these liars and swindlers!
I ordered a 3 piece pet-food bin from Groupon on April 4th and it arrived on April 8th, so far so good. I opened the box and removed the bin and it has a crack in it. I immediately took pictures of the crack and the box just for good measure. I've been trying to find a way to contact Groupon to find out how I can send this back for a replacement but to no avail. The number listed tells you to go to My Stuff under your profile, and from there you should be able to get to where you want to be including contacting someone in customer service. After you've done everything as instructed, you end up back where you started from with no help at all, this is including following instructions online under "Contact Us". I feel like this is a great big scam and I won't be using Groupon again.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
