I invited my sister to Groupon and she made two purchases right away. Groupon rejected the invitation so I didn't automatically get the $10 reward. I contacted customer service and they initially refused to give me the reward because we share a name. The customer service guy didn't believe that we are two people, but he did eventually give me the reward after many emails back and forth. He was rude throughout our exchanges, and gave me a sour view of Groupon's customer service process. He never apologized for wasting my time with all the emails, when I had done nothing wrong as a customer.
We won't be using Groupon anymore after the hassle they gave us as new customers. What happened to their policy to trust the customer? "We never want to be at war with our customers, so we're taking it in the other direction. More freedom for our customers. More trust." from http://www.groupon.com/blog/cities/the-groupon-promise/. The deals are good, but now I don't trust Groupon's shady money-saving tactics.
Well well well, let's see if Mr Jason answers. He seems to be the route to go when you need action from ideeli. My problem is not the merchandise or the shipping as I admit they have great sales, great quality and shipping is fast and within the expected date of arrival. But, why do we have to come here for the entire world to see our complaints after dealing with the so called "customer service" email system.
Jason: I want my $15 credit, offered on an email! The promotion stated on April 7th, Spend $100 at ideeli and the $15 credit will become available in your account by April 14,2011.
Since then, I have placed FOUR different orders and contacted your "ideeli team" who responded the credit would be posted to my account by April 14th.
Well, they need to check their calendar, today is the 16th and NO credit.
Hoping you can help...
Orders: *******, *******, ******* and *******.
Thank you
Overall, I like their site and what they are doing. Their customer service is WAY better than livingsocial. I had similar problems with the referrals with both and groupon responded within hours of my email and refunded my account quickly while livingsocial has not responded in over a month with repeated inquiries.
It seems like in my area, the reps aren't telling the local businesses exactly how things work as some have canceled their deals after the fact but luckily, I haven't had a problem with that.
I bought some sandals called "Penny Loves Kenny" in the "Codi" wooden platform. I received them in exactly 1 week! I feel like they're very dependable. I just wanted to add a positive experience to this. Maybe since they've had bad reviews in the past, they've made their customer service very very good. I am so satisfied with my purchase, I will definitely come back for more.

I never had any problem with ideeli when it came to the shipment. It was always on time; however, I purchased a trenchcoat and the quality of the product is not worth the money I paid for. In just a couple of days after I wore it, the buttons fell off one after another. Eventually I had to resew all the buttons. The fabric was thin and of lower quality. I learned to never buy clothes or shoes from internet, it is better to see and try out the product first.
They have one of the WORST customer service groups ever. They put an ad out for my company without even finding out how I do business or what makes me unique. They put a picture of a sub on the ad that looked like a big brown TURD. When called they said they have a brand to protect but didn't care about my brand what so ever. The write was written by a 10 yr old for sure. I would NOT do business with they guys they are TERRIBLE to say the least. I would Recommend DO NOT do business with they they only care about their business not yours.
Really nothing worth purchasing. There are a ton of deal sites out there. The customer service isn't the best and I really enjoy working with Half Off Depot! They have really good timing with everything that goes on in the city.
I've purchased multiple deals from Groupon.com and can comfortably say that I am happy with my purchases nearly each time, and when something goes wrong, I simply break off a call or send an email and it gets resolved in the same day. Thanks, Groupon! Huge fan!
I will never shop at this site again. My order is already 3 weeks late and when I check my online banking it shows me that I have been charged 3 times for this dress, which I have only ordered one of. When I contacted ideeli's customer service representatives they said that they are doing this to insure that funds are available-but why? Why do you need to know if I can buy three dresses when I have only ordered one? I find this unnerving. You can take back the $10 store credit you gave me for the late shipping, I just want my dress please.
I bought a 2 night B & B for $99/ retail $218 (Lookout Mtn./Chattanooga, Tn) in Feb. That I looked up check in dates for within hours... Not until August did they have availability for us & still have NOT received the confirmation! Not happy! :(
I am a sucker for a good sale so when I read about this site I had to try it. I have purchased numerous items and have not had a problem. It does take long for the item to ship. However, shipping times are shown on the page of the item.
I do wish they would already have a return shipping sticker in the box that the item arrives in, instead of having to go on the website and print it off.
I am hopeful they will have more things with free shipping in the near future.
I have been impressed that a staff member consistently posts to comments on this site and tries to correct issues.
I am sure over time the management will tweak problem issues and progress into a even better company..

This website are working for themself... and trying to make you belive that is for you "The owner" or for you "the client"
I do not understand why they partner with business that do not make good on their deal. If they partner with a business they are essentially endorsing that business. Their business model will not sustain itself unless they begin to better scrutinize who they partner with. My last purchase has completely soured me on this site because the business (Nuttyguys.com) won't ship my product. In Groupon's defense they said they won't issue a refund but they would call the buiness on my behalf. Shame on me for not reading the reviews on Google before purchasing. I highly recommend consumers go to sitejabber or google reviews before purchasing on Groupon.
I got online today to see what sales were going to be on ideeli. I came across a dress I really liked. When the sale opened the dress sold out before I could order it! It says it's waitlisted. This is totally misleading. Instead of saying when things are sold out on the item page they just say that they are waitlisted! I used the "live help" which was anything but live, when I brought forth my concerns I received automated answers. How is that live help? You might as well just put together a FAQ and leave it at that.
Come to find out the 'waitlist' doesn't mean that you are put in a queue for this item. They just tell you if they get more and you have to race on to try and get the item.
Issues:
- First Row: This is totally unfair. If I don't shop at the service that often there is no reason to pay almost $7 a month for the ability to shop only ONE HOUR earlier than everyone else. These people are basically paying to have a one-up on everyone else.
Automated Customer Service: This is just tacky, come on. It upsets people if they want to talk to a person.
"Waitlist": a waitlist implies a list of people who are in line for something. It's just a mass email to those who sign up. Shouldn't it just be a notification? No item is promised and the term waitlist is defeated.
This experience was extremely unprofessional. I waited for about 20-30 minutes for this item only to find out that it was sold out.
Also, I'd like the dress.
Hi Sherae,
Though I am very sorry to hear you're feeling this way, I do thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Sitejabber.
I know how frustrating it can be when the item you had your eye on sells out very quickly. As a note, all of our sale events have limited durations and quantities, and our most popular brands can (and do) sell out rapidly. That said, we work hard to make sure that we have enough products to create a positive shopping experience for our members.
We also provide the Wait List option to our members so that if we're lucky enough to add more stock during the sale, we can notify you right away. We do not list items as "sold out" because there are occasions when we are able to add additional inventory during the sale. Due to the live nature of our site, the Wait List does not function as a "line" of sorts. Instead, we e-mail everyone who asks to be notified.
To further clarify, the First Row program is an option for members who would like to shop a bit earlier. We understand if you don't prefer this option, and are happy to work with you to update your account accordingly. I also apologize if you found our Live Chat service to be automated. I can assure you that you're corresponding with live representatives through the Chat portal.
Thank you, again, for bringing your concerns to my attention. If you would like to share further feedback, or be added to the Wait List for the dress (provided that the sale has not ended), I encourage you to reach out to us at [email protected].

What's really going on here? Don't understand...
I'm shocked to see so many negative reviews here. I have placed at least 20 orders from ideeli so far. Yes, sometimes the item was shipped longer than I expected, sometimes the item arrived not perfectly, however their reps were very very helpful. Every time when I contacted them, they were patient and was willing to help.
Well, from my own experiences, if you have a really urgent problem with your order, always try to contact their online reps, they are the most effective ones.
Anyways, I vote for ideeli, rather than gilt, rue la la, hautelook...
Hi Sherry,
Thank you so much for your vote of support. I'm very glad that you found our Customer Service representatives helpful, and that you're enjoying your ideeli experience. Please always feel free to reach out to us directly at [email protected] with any questions or concerns. Continued happy shopping!

I actually think Groupon is quite a good and fair website. The problem is that the businesses it works with seem to give pretty bad customer service to their groupon customers. I have so far redeemed 2 groupon vouchers. One was fine but the other, a dinner for 2 in a Tapas restaurant in London, was pretty awful. The waiter showed us to our table, which was dirty and left us, saying he would come back to clean it. He didn't come back so we waited (still hadn't been given menus at this point). He finally walked past us and we reminded him about the menus. He brought them a few minutes later but never cleaned the table. For the rest of the evening, the service was similar.
One of my vouchers I am not even going to be able to redeem. It is a haircut and blowdry at a London salon in a hotel. The voucher states that we need to email the salon to book. I emailed them twice and never got a response. I ended up checking the salon's website where I found a link to book. That link took me to a page where I could select a date and slot to get my haircut. First issue: They state that the slots are for 15 minutes only and that if treatment takes longer than 15 mins, 2 or more slots must be booked. I wonder why it is up to the customer to assess how long to book for? Surely the hairdresser should be judge of that.
Second issue: my voucher expires on 1st June and there is literally no availability until then. There is definitely no availability at weekends and only a few slots (one at a time only) seem to be free on weekdays. I actually only counted 3 available slots until 1st June.
Third issue: I cannot believe that the salon didn't even have the courtesy to respond to any of my emails.
As groupon customers we are indeed paying a reduced price to access the company's services but businesses should not be groupon partners if they are not happy with that and if they are going to deliver poor quality customer service.
I simply love this place. Great deals every day! Real deal
I find that the discount is overstated. They are currently selling bloch shoes but the original price is over 20 to 30 bucks. Therefore the discount is not a real discount when compared to other sites. Check Zappos and Saks for regular price.

Had trouble with a company I bought a coupon for. Let groupon know and they have been quick in following up with me but... they offered a refund for the $10. I paid for the coupon and a credit with them for the $8.95 the I paid to the company I redeemed the coupon at. Sounds good huh? Well when I accepted their offer groupon stopped communicating with me. So I am still out $18.95
After reading reviews, I was quite hesitant to shop through this site but I decided to give it try anyway. So, I placed my first order yesterday. Everything went smooth from adding the item to the cart to making the final purchase. I even had few questions which were wonderfully taken care of through discussion board as well as privately. My issue was with sizing. I bought a dress in size 40 which according to the size chart was small. Today, I logged on to see any updates to find out the SIZE CHART HAS BEEN UPDATED. Now, size 40 is a Medium instead.
I have emailed and also, posted on discussion board but no one has reached out to me yet. I am hoping someone will reach out to me ASAP so I am not shipped the wrong size because it was definitely not my fault and I definitely do not wish to be stuck with such a large amount of store credit.
I was hoping I would have something great to say but I really don't until this situation is taken care of.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.

Hi Maryanka,
