I have been on the phone for 3 hours with the dispute department and haven't been able to get through to them.I'm very dis with green dot now.This is the third day I've been calling and still no answer...they owe me money and want them to add it to my card and nobody answered it says under 3 minutes Ive been on the phone this round 34 minutes and still nothing...there customer service is poorly they have no clue what there doing...I was considering on going back to use them as a bank well they blew that...not to happy with greendot at all..
Beware of this Bank, I had GO2 bank for 2 years and discovered my money was vanishing, got in touch with the bank had them to send me a copy of all my transactions and little did I know there was $1,800 missing I got them down and took copies of everything fax it to them and they denied my dispute of everything that was on there that was not of mine in one instance there was some transactions made instead of Georgia on the same day in Nashville Tennessee how can that be no way 7 hour drive to be transactions taking place in two different states same date well they closed my account and during the time that I was working and had my direct deposit into that account instead of them sending my payroll back to the company they keep it in that bank for over a year before I can retrieve it numerous of calls talking to different people and nothing ever happened until over a year later I got in touch with the trade center of the currency FDIC over the banks it's how I got my money otherwise I would have never gotten it beware Green Dot Bank is a embezzlement Bank
I bought it wrong and I coulnd return it. So I decided to use the card, They charge every month for a fee of $9.99. I wanted to close the card online but it did not work, I tried to called and its more than 3hrs that I am on hold.
NEVER NEVER EVER buy this card.
Card got hacked 4 weeks ago and I still don't have a replacement called Thursday and they said I would get by Monday still don't have any you have to hold for a hour for nothing. Want to close account but can't until I can get my money out. Don't know I have had for 15 years and wouldn't recommend them at all now.
Was contacted by Quickbooks/Green Dot Bank asking if a charge on my QB Debit Card was fraud. It was which i I told them, so they shut off the card and did not allow the charge to go through. There were 5 other charges that were already being processed but were in a pending status on QB. The QB customer service person told me that the actual bank was Green Dot, and that i had to wait for the processing to complete in QB before i could put through a claim for fraud & get reimbursed by Green Dot. Now Green Dot is saying the charges are valid and that there is no one I can speak to in their fraud department. The 5 charges that went through were on the same date and had the same merchant name as the one THEY found as fraud. So why could they tell that one charge was fraud but not the others? When I asked the location of the merchant, they had no information. By the way, I've been on the phone for 85 minutes today and an hour the first time. The hold time with QB and then Green Dot is ridiculous. And i have not spoken to anyone in the US so i wonder how much of a US bank this really is.
Unable to login or retrieve my User ID. On hold for hours and no one ever picks up. Horrible service.
Refusing to return money on money card. Ripping poor people off. Class action law suit Warning don't buy from these people. Scam green dot/ Walmart
Trying to get problem resolved by chat. Was disconnected twice. Was on hold for over an hour. They have my money but no one to talk to about it. Absolutely do not use them! Credit Unions are the best!
My greendot card has my gym dues automatically deducted each month. As of 2 days ago my card got declined when it was time for the membership dues to be paid. For the past 2 days I've called and attempted to "chat with an agent" but was unsuccessful. Each time I called customer service; the hold time averaged 45mins with the last time being the longest(1hr47mins). I've never experienced any issues with using the card until now and I saw it as a secure way to protect against theft/fraud but the poor customer service has completely turned me off. I will no longer be using their services and I advise anyone else to take heed to this warning and beware!
My mom stashed $700 now it's completely gone into the oblivion. Customer service is not helping. Help
I give Green Dot zero stars. The past four days I have been trying to use my card and every time it say DECLINE. I know for a fact it is funds on my card and I am stressed about it. I am unable to pay bills and can't take care of other important things either due to this issue. I have emailed NO RESPONSE, I have called and on hold for a long time then no one comes to the phone. Don't use Green Dot if you can help it, praying to get what funds I have and then I am leaving them. NO GOOD FOR BUSINESS
I haven't been unable to access my account for the past 3 weeks! This comes after a "maintenance update" after being on hold for multiple days for multiple hours a representative orders a new card telling me this will fix the problem. I pay for three day shipping. It's going on to five days now still not have received the card. I've been on hold every day for over three hours. No one picks up the phones! If want to play a guessing game of weather, do you see your funds again or speak to someone good luck I made a horrible mistake sticking by in hopes of resolving major issues….but I can't seem to get a person on the phone nor receive a email response to any of my emails spanning for three weeks!
Card declines when the money is clearly there. Unreliable and unprofessional. Hours and hours before being able to speak to someone. I was on hold so long it ended up being past their business hours and I still didn't get an an answer. Money disappears then reappears. Deposits take longer than usual.
I had money deposited into my account and when I go to use it it comes up as declined even when it's under the balance that's in there. Then I try their chat on the app, nobody ever answers the questions. Then I try to reach them by phone, and of course no answer again after waiting for an hour. This bank is such a scam and a joke. I would give them negative stars if I could.
I have not been able to use my greendot card for the past five days due greendot declining purchases and I have available funds in my account and I've had the account for over three years and never had an issue with my account then when you contact them they tell you they don't know what happen and they are working on it and they aren't doing anything about it this a terrible company do not place your funds in their hands
Horrible customer service. Tried to use my card on two sites. Both are saying my info does not match but I am putting in the right info. I created an account and my info is correct. Currently have tried to reach customer service for 4 hours. No answer on phone or chat. That is completely unprofessional. Do not even use green dot for prepaid purposes. I have never had this happen with any other institution. I will never use a green dot card again.
First of all don't ever contact on email or texting. I've been for the past 5 days and Noone replies. Also if you contest a charge and are proved to be owed. They will jot refund you... im.chsnging after 6 years with them its ridiculous. I get direct deposit and have had it. I ordered a new card and they processed my payment but said it could be 2 weeks. Ridiculous. Absolutely pathetic

This bank from 08/07/2023 has been undergoing some form of maintenance issues in which customers like myself were not able to access funds on their card due to this call times have been long and no response or resolutions were given I went to lengths of reporting card lost to access Walmart barcode to access funds in which my attempts were left with no different results I highly recommend not using this bank the practice of $#*!ting down consumers access to funds due to a technical issue on banks side is not ethical and puts people in a bind especially if you are trying to rid yourself of this business completely and withdraw the money on your account they did this practice with no warning or solution following simply put 1/5 stars and the only reason for the one is due to the convenience of needing a quick account open however customer service and maintaining the account are a headache and not worth the possible future confusion
I have been fighting with Green Dot for over 2 weeks for a refund they seem to be refusing to give me. They have horrible customer service. And after they hung up on me they hit me with 2 overdraft fees I wouldn't have had if they would just give me my money. Never use Green Dot
