This card is not a good one. I been with greendot for well over 10 years and many many cards had to keep being replaced because customer service never knew what they were doing. They will hang up on you if they can't figure out your problem. And there WILL BE a problem.
I was given two Walmart 'debit' cards for a birthday gift, Just going through the registration process for these two gift cards was excruciating enough, given the fact you have to give them all of your personal information, SSN, DOB, address, phone#, and then the card fails to register, then I call their customer service number on the back of these two cards wait on hold for over two minutes then when the CSR, customer service representative gets on the phone puts me on hold for another five minutes, I assume expecting me to hang up, yet they disconnect the call themselves. I call back and go through the same process stating my case, with the hassle of just redeeming these two Walmart gift cards, and the second person hangs up. This is w/o any profanity, although on the second call, I was tempted when they disconnected the call. The third call was on hold for another 8 minutes, listening to music, then silence, still connected to the call, but no one picked up. Walmart using this GreenDot Bacnk is a horrible addition to your service for loyal Walmart customers...
I purchase a GreenDot card put 100 dollars on it.and some one else resisted the card.i try to get my money back I had the card can give them information where I brought it from and when.poor services and was told it wasn't anything they can do thank you for your had worked for money have a nice day.
My Card information was stolen/Unauthorized purchases was made on My account. Filed a dispute the day transactions cleared. After being in cue for 2 hours to talk to a rep received confirmation after call rep put in information wrong. Called right back to fix. Filed dispute 8/22/23 mailed 8/22/23 Paid extra for 2day shipping…Just to be told today 9/6/23 they don't have My dispute form it wasn't received in a time.I have proof I sent dispute…I feel I'm being scammed and giving the run around…None of the reps no nothing or any help.
Can't get ahold of them to close out my account that I never signed up for. Been on hold for several hours and I cannot get ahold of anybody. There's no email address to email.
DO NOT USE THIS CARD. I PAID 4 FOR THE CARD, PUT 20 ON THE CARD AND THEY TURN AROUND AND TAKE 1.50 MORE WHEN I SPENT 10. NO 800 NUMBER TO CALL. THEY WON'T GET ANYMORE OF MY MONEY. I'M SICK OF THESE SORRY $#*! COMPANIES RIPPING ME OFF. NEVER AGAIN $#*!S.
I don't have an account with this bank but my sister does and their was an issue that money was to be returned to her account and it hasn't been she has called them numerous times and still hasn't gotten any money back so now she is contacting the better business bureau and the district attorney this is utterly unacceptable.
I bought the card to receive money that was sent to me but after depositing twenty dollars and them charging me 9.99 service fee I cannot get the money unless I have a REAL CARD, not the one bought. Destroying the card soon as transaction is completed.

I got my own resolved and I was able to access my funds send a mail greendothelpcentre@ aol. Com for a fast response and solution.
I had a suspicious activity on my account they blocked my card and I did not have access to my other funds. I had late fees no groceries and no way to work. Not acceptable.
I've been trying to call for days and no one answer's the phone….then when I try to use the mobile app for a live chat feed the chat will not load and responds try again later….really?
Been waiting over a month for card. No way to contact spoofing green dot. Chat with an agent cut off. Tried phoning cut off. Do not get a Green Dot it's SPOOF
I tried greendot for a short time. I initially loaded $20.00 on my card.
I spent $5.12 out of it and found I had zero balance in just 1 week. So where did the $14.88 go? I guess into their pockets. I closed my account upon finding that out.
I bought a card at the store to use, and then asked to be sent a personalized one, which they did but I didn't receive it until 3 months later. During this time they continued to bill a fee each month yet never sending a statement. I finally received the card and put 80 dollars on it to which they immediately took out 15.90 in fees. This company is horrible, customer service sucks. And good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. I was in hold for over 3 hours
I have called customer service waiting on hold for 4 to 5 hours which I know y'all are not that busy if you are, do you need the heart more people that is totally unacceptable. You will lose my business, but it will not hurt you, but eventually it will bite you in the $#*!. I think the people are sitting around being lazy and not answering the phone because you don't know if they owned the other line really or not. I've been trying to contact y'all for a week one time I left it on hold for six hours because I was out of my truck that you think that makes any sense and you're supposed to be the number one business I think it's a joke. I've been using your for years and always the answer the phone. Now you can't get him to answer to save your life..
They have stole my money I get nothing but the run around about getting a new card with my money on it it was my SS money for my bill and food technical difficulties is all they say come on I'm on a fixed income I was hacked while I was in the hospital I've done everything they asked and a month later I'm still waiting please I need my money
This is an update to my review named Green Dot is a terrible company. I finally had a CSR from Green Dot so as promised and prioritized my situation. I also located an email address for Green Dot that may have helped. *******@financier.com I still don't recommend Green Dot, but I am updating my review level to a 3. Hope this helps someone in the future.
Don't use Green Dot they double charged me i have been calling on hold 30 minutes and again 20 min no response. I contacted the company i I purchased fom the verified they didn't run that payment.
Answer: No This is a prepaid debit card that keeps your money for a few wweeks to deny access
