DO NOT GET ONE OF THESE CARDS IT MAY WORK TODAY BUT IF YOUR MONEY GETS TAKEN THERE IS NO ONE WHO CARES, CAN SPEAK ENGLISH OR UNDERSTAND IT. THE ONLY PERSON I'VE HEARD SPEAK ENGLISH IS THE MAN ON AUTOMATED LINE. THEY ARE WORTHLESS THE COMPANY THERE EMPLOYEES AND I'M NOT SO SURE THEY AREN'T THE MERCHANT, THAT DOES'NT EXSIST, WHO TOOK MY MONEY. ALL I WANT IS A REAL ENGLISH SPEAKING AND UNDERSTANDING PERSON TO CONTACT ME. ALL COPIES OF DOCUMENTS UPON THERE REQUEST

I will never recommend GreenDot for anybody because I had bought a car from Walmart I registered it I got money on it I cannot access the money on my GreenDot I cannot talk to a human being they do not recognize the number I gave them on my card that do not recognize my social security number it's all been registered and it's all been in your system and I still cannot talk to a human all I am getting is that computer I do not like that as far as customer service goes so from this point on I will not use and or recommend GreenDot to anybody if they ask me about it I will tell them to go to venmo or somewhere else

This card is, by far, the worst card I've dealt with. The ATM they were using that charged no fee are no more. You can't transfer your money to a REAL bank to pay bills. (In order to do so; you get hit with fees) If your trying to build credit you can forget it with this card, because no cc company accepts this card or "Bank" as they call it. Green dot is just a terrible excuse for a card that coerces you to spend even more money than you already have to.

First of all I purchased the card because I needed it to be able to pay a bill because it was going to get cut off today but needless to say they cannot activate my card for some reason and I have to wait 3 days for the technical support teen to get in touch with me so I guess by that time I won't have a phone so they won't be able to get in touch with me so I lose all my money I don't see them paying me because I have to go pay another company to pay all I can say is I'm sorry as if I'm sorry really fixes the problem they don't know what they're doing they don't know how to help anybody all they needed to do was just activate my card but they say they can't

I have never seen a company that is this big of a scammer. They advertise their cards like they are a gift card. My kids received 2 $50 cards for Christmas and I registered them immediately. I first found it weird they wanted my social security number, but I put it in as they would not let me continue until I did. My kids finally went to use their cards and no money left on them. The company charges $7.95 a month and for what? They stole $100 from an 8 and 10 year old. This is the worse company around and I don't know how they are still in business with a 1 star rating

I've been doing business with Green Dot 4 years now all of a sudden my contact information not good enough I bought a card to pay a bill online now I can't pay the bill online because you can't verify my contact information the same contact information I've been using for years the last two times I purchase the card I had issues with GreenDot Never no more anyone that I know. I want to tell him don't touch the card because they changed and used to be good but not at no good now my bills is screwed up

This is the worst credit card company I've ever dealt with in my life! I recently got a green dot platinum secured credit card and upon receiving the card I got on line to add my security deposit and register the card. Well I was able to add my security deposit no problem. But when I went to register the card. I could not. Kept getting your information does not match our records and than due to my repeated attempts to enter my information somehow my account/card was blocked. Next I called the number on the back of the card only to get a automated response telling me that my card number and social security number didn't match and to go visit the website for more info. Next I go online only to find the live text format doesn't work and every customer service phone number I called I could not reach a live person for help. So now I have a useless credit card that I can't activate or register and green dot credit card company has my hard earned money and no way for me to get help to fix the problem or get my money back! What a nightmare! Had I known from the beginning that green dot credit card company didn't have live customer service representatives or a way to help the customers when they were having problems I would have never dealt with this horrible company! From my own experience with this company I would advise you to Run away like ten rabies infected pit bull dog's were chasing you!

I have an account with Greendot Bank. I had 1,025.58, next thing i know, my account only has 58 cents. I assume it was a inside job because on how the money was taken away in the first place. I reported this to them and I have had a very hard time trying to get my money back even though they are the reason I have no money in my account in the first place. They investigated and told me that i will receive a new card with the money on the card, Because its been a month since this happened and that was my rent money, and that money was the only thing that I had until my next check, when I finally received my card they tell me that I can't have access to my money because my birthday does not match with the new card they gave me. Even though the first card I have from them my birthday matches so they tell me someone put a different birthday on this new card which was a error on their part so I'm starting to see this company is very unprofessional and I still don't have access to my funds which has caused me to pass out at my job from having no money to eat then i had severe break down, which caused me to have severe Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Depression.

Do NOT get a prepaid card from them. They keep charging you a monthly fee long after you are closing the account. On the phone they lie to you about waiving the fee and closing the acct, but the following month all feed add up again. It's like a nightmare, it keeps coming back to haunt you! Worst of it, the have your SSN. Also when you activate the card, they are opening a checking acct on your name too, without you asking for it, or even activate it! Beware people, find someone else!

This is my last ever attempt at prepaid cards. There's no way to speak to customer support about issues. The monthly fee of $9 was not expected as I read there were none. I also cannot access my account using the app. I know I am entering the information correctly, and password reset isnt even going to my email. I will just not bother activating the registsred card they sent in the mail. I doubt there would be cashback credit given for my purchases--i would rather keep using my bank account and PayPal. Thanks for wasting my money and time greendot.
