My money!@

I have had $282 and up card that green. Refuses to give me back I've already sent them my ID everything they requested and I still haven't got my money it's been almost a week more than time is allotted and these people think they can do what they want to do whenever they want do not use them do not refer to a friend or nothing we need to shut this company down.

They people working there seem to have know clue how to do their jobs. They pass you from one person to the next and then decide to tell you there's nothing they can do to get you your money back because they can't file a dispute until the transaction is not pending. But the pending transaction won't go away until they do something on their end as I here already confirmed several times with the other company it's canceled on their end. Switching card companies as we speak. They need to be sued already. Idiots

Do Not Use!

I have used their services for several years. Unfortunately, over that period of time, each time they call themselves improving services, my account is hacked and robbed. The amount time to resolve the issue and straighten things out is unbelievable! Customer service representatives are very difficult to understand and it takes you an average of 1 hour to get a hold of someone only to provided you with scripted responses. I would not recommend this service to anyone. And by the way, if you have been transferred over to their new service, GO2 Bank, just as back!

Thieves!

I accidentally sent money to a very old account that was with green dot bank and instead of them sending it back to my cash app where I mistakenly sent it from green dot bank told me until I show them id or give them my personal information they were going to send it back to me. They then told me they deducted money from it. They then told me they did not receive money from me. Then they told me they were going to send it back to me but they never gave it back. The account was closed so how were they able to still receive receive it? Do not trustthist bootl3eg so now they are holding my money up. I'm going to file charges against asap.

Dont trust them

I USED THEM FOR YEARS, HAD NO PROBLEMS WENT ON VACATION IN JUNE AND SOMEONE HACK MY ACCOUNT AND STOLE ALL MY MONEY OFF MY CARD, FILE A DISPUTE AND WAS DENIED, SAID THEY DIDN'T SEE A ERROR. SOMEONE CHANGE MY LOG IN INFORMATION AND PHONE NUMBER. SO NOW I CANT LOG IN AND WHEN I CALL THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 30 T0 45 MINUTES THEN HANG UP I HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE AND THEY ALL TELL ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THIS IS NOT OVER GREEN DOT, I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND TIMES ARE HARD NOW AND Y'ALL JUST TAKE PEOPLE MONEY LIKE THAT!

Pissed off about my money

The worst banking ever. It's been over a year that they have had 5400$ of my money in dispute. These guys are a complete waste of time and they will try to rob you with the quickness. My wallet was stolen out of my car when I was swimming at the river and I called and reported it but they didn't shut the card off well when I filed taxes I didn't pay attention and change the direct deposit and all my taxes and stimulus money was sent to it cause it was the last known direct deposit H&R block had on file. Well a long story longer and the person who had stolen my card was using it for over a yr while I kept fighting with the IRS and H&R block about my money I finally tracked it down to these no good scoundrels. I'm being punished for them not shutting the card off and it's been forever and they still can't do the most simplest task to look on the cameras of the place the card was used and see that I didn't use it and give me my $#*!ing money back. Plz whatever you do do not use these ppl as a bank not only will you be calling in you will be lucky to have someone not hang up on you cause they can't figure out what your asking. Oh maybe it's cause not one person I've spoke to can speak English maybe that's the reason. Do yourself a favor put your money in a sock or find a better bank then this one these guys get zero stars from me. They are worthless and not good people.

They will sell you a card without telling you that you need an ID. When you finally upload your ID they will tell you, their is no refund and they won't even mail you a check for your money back as they take monthly fees they can't reverse until your money is gone. Terrible customer service. Nothing but finger pointing blaming others in the company that you CANNOT contact. ALL GARBAGE AT EVERY LEVEL! Just buy a gift card and do what you need to do. Don't support these lying thieves.

Green Dot makes it very difficult to access your money. There customer service is an automated system and a online chat that has their reps ending the conversation on purpose. It's terrible. They hold your money and you can't transfer it to your bank account, and if you send it to a friend or family member they have to have a green dot account themselves. It's legit a way for them to hold your cash and not get it you or people you need to send money to unless that give you a ridiculous fee or weeks of waiting

I want the money, they are holding $200 for what reason. Never have I had to wait for 2 weeks to be refunded for a hotel deposit. NEVER at the MOST 3 DAYS 3 DAYS ONLY... 2 WEEKS WHY, IF IT WAS ANY OTHER BANK INCLUDING GO2BANK YALL ASSOCIATED WITH I WOULD HAVE MY MONEY THIS IS BS

Customer service is bad, wait time is long, and they use trickery to take your money.

I was given $500.00 as a gift and I have yet to use it and the balance is below $450.00. I wanted to claim the rest of the money and close the account but they sent me on the run around or put me on hold for a long time. Currently (as I am writing this review), I am on hold for 34 min with an annoying background music designed to get on the last nerve of whoever is listening to it. The agent I spoke to prior to the hold didn't inform me that he is about to put me on hold or why he is putting me on hold. Mid conversation, he just turned the music.

Another agent showed up after a while and started to interact with me as a new caller and ask a bunch of security questions asked by the first agent. Needless to say, neither of them were helpful. I highly recommend running away from these people

Overall, I don't have to know who owns this company to tell you that it is run by a bunch of scam artists and thieves.

Monthly fees still charged after following site's instructions to spend down acct to 0$ to close! I had called and spoke live with an agent, requesting to close my account and send me a check for the balance of $8.54, he told me "it will be easier to just spend down your balance to Zero and then your account would be closed automatically for inactivity". After following his and the website's instructions, I continued to get charged $7.95 in monthly fees, which I initially ignored, thinking it would be reconciled when closed for inactivity. Well, I just received my 3rd monthly fee! I contacted them via online chat, and they tried to get me to keep acct open, I declined, and then the agent said she would close my account. She then typed "Also, please be assured that your credit scores won't be impacted by the account closure with negative balance. We are here for you and we'll take care of that!". This is absurd to me! I asked to have my balance zeroed out before closing, but she just restated her statement above. I will be watching my credit reports and scores and if derogatory in ANY way, I will escalate this. I feel bad for other people who have and will go through this!

Worst mistake I ever made was joining greendot. There are way too many fees to access your own money. If I could give them zero or negative stats I would. The customer service is absolutely horrible. When you ask a question they do not answer it they just read some script written answer that has nothing to do with the issue that you called about. Also I was in a locked medical facility with no access to my card, my phone or any type of electronics and my card was charged. I filed a dispute and they said it would be resolved in 10 days. After 15 days I called back and they gave me the run around about it and told me now it can take up to 45 days. After waiting a month And a half they denied the claim as they determined I authorized the purchase. Again I was locked up. I offered proof and they said it was not needed. They are a bunch of thieves who I will be filling a suit in small claims court against. DO NOT EVER TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH THESE THIEVES

Green Dot Scam
August 20, 2021

DO NOT USE GREEN DOT for any reason! My debit card was hacked and am struggling to get my money returned-given excuse after excuse, no one speaks English, and their corporation phone numbers listed are FAKE, saying I've called the wrong number! I'm a disabled veteran living on a small compensation and my entire monthly amount is now gone! How do I pay for rent, phone, food, etc?! I'm by far not alone with this problem, read their reviews! Has anyone out there been successful in retreating their money?! If so, PLEASE share that info!

I'M ELIGIBLE TO WITHDRAW IT ON 12/4/21 BUT GREENDOT IS SWITCHING BANKS & CLOSING MY ACCOUNT ON 10/31/21. FKN SCAMMERS! I just put $30 dollars into my son's account and while they took it out of my account immediately my son has still not received it 3 hours later. Then I called and after repeating the automatic dialing promts I received a man who absolutely had no idea how to transfer the money even though the company knew how to take it out of my account. I would recommend that anyone that wanted a way to transfer money to their college age children to use CHIME and not Greendot due to customer service being completely incompetent. I wish we would have known about Chime prior to ever using Greendot. They have the absolute worst customer service ever.

Greendot scamming
August 12, 2021

I've been calling customer service since July 21st 2021. They randomly sent an email saying it's unusual activity going on with my account because my taxes was deposited into my account. Only 1,079. That's not much. I HAVE KIDS TO FEEL WHILE SUPERVISORS HANG UP IN MY FACE AND BEING RUDE. I have 4 different case numbers because NOBODY IS HELPING ME. Greendot is scamming me FOR WHAT? The CEO of greendot DEN HENRY makes 2.4 million dollars a year. Why take my 1,079 and giving me the run around when you have more then people will ever see in a life time. I've contacted fraud department to unlock my account and send full refund in a paper check. I have to wait another 4 weeks for the check IF IT COMES AT THIS POINT. They lie and schem and steal from the lest fortuned people. That's not ok. I'm a hard working single mother.
