THIS BANK AFTER COVERTLY STEELING $500 2019 AFTER 2 YEAR BATTLE WITH CHARLOTTE HALL SOCIAL SECURITY AND REFUSED TO REIMBURSE SAID FUNDS 2019 FROM ILLEGAL TRANSACTIONS ONLY INSIDE JOB UPDATE OCT 21ST FOUND THAT WEST AFRICA PLAYED PART IN STEELING MONEY FROM GREENDOT ACCOUNTS CONFIRMED 2 DAYS AGO OF COURSE BANKS KNOW UNDER FEDERAL LAW I CONSIDER THIS BANK ILLEGAL SOURCE ALSO SAID THEY GREENDOT REFUSES TO PAY LOST FUNDS HOWEVER STOLEN FUNDS ARE BANK RESPONSIBILITY SINCE IT IS NOT OF THE USER. Homeless veteran plus just refused to give my $100 days ago despite food and other needs plus failed to reimburse me lost funds on 2 illegal transactions clearly not mine costing me my car first in 5 years gov owes me $55,499 2010 service terrible told them their job excuse Stanley Hoyer office office was informed received made case in Sep 2020 still no word October 21 2021. Still homeless I helped those on the streets with little money. Banks don't care about you they care about green paper that comes from other places I still expect their accountability PNC before this tried to take over $300 on a lie and the woman on said account lived a short distance from my very tent in a nice stone house. I bought a card by mistake because I thought I could use it without registering.
I tried to use it and it didn't work, so I called customer support and they told me to register and asked me for my SSC.
I asked if I could get a refund they told me I could and I would just have to send an email to their email address and should get a response the next day or two.
I have already send out 3 E-Mails and its been a whole month and I have called their support about 5 times and have not received my refund or any response.

Bad Customer Support, Bad Company! In my opinion a legal Scam!

Was sending money to someone and to receive money is a pain don't use this bank and when you call customer service is not there horrible experience with this bank. So far been scammed out of 457 dollars

This is the worst experience ever. I purchased a prepaid card for my 18 yr old daughter for having money for emergency on it as she is flying to another state. They said they couldnt verify her information even though she sent a photo of her ID she provided all info. So card is worthless she cant pull money off of it she cant use it on internet or over phone she cant recieve cash back. Oh but in there email they say she can purchase another card and apply again. I am so mad right now it is really hard keeping this clean. In my opinion that screams a money scam they want people to have ti go buy another card so they refuse to register first one. Well I wont ever purchase another green dot card and I will discourage anyone I know from purchasing another one. And I know alot of people. Akd when they here about my daughter in tears just for that alone everyone I know will spread the word. So piss off greendot.

I have a receipt showing a $349 credit to the card. They claim they don't have it. I called & wrote.

I closed my Green Dot secured platinum visa 8/4/21 and it's been more than two months since and I have not received my security deposit yet as of 10/14/21. I have called, email Green Dot support and was even directed to corporate which was in the Philippines and was hung up on three times. I consider this FRAUD!

So I loaded my card after checking my balance online. Online it shows a zero balance, not negative. After loading the card I find out the money I loaded isn't updated online. I call customer support to find out my account negative over 100$. Really! So then as I'm explaining that it showed a zero balance why would I load a card in the negative. Smh, then they say oh we can waive 25$, really that doesn't help me at all. If it showed originally it was negative I would have never loaded it. So instead of acknowledging the technical issue they tell me 25$ waiver is the best they can do. Thanks, but no thanks. You guys operating in bad business practices. So be aware I definitely will not ever use your service again and would advise anyone else either.

That one star is undeserved, i was forced to rate at least one by this site. If I could give negative stars, I would give **************. Nothing more to say, just a rip off with $8+ per month (can change without notice) in fees, the % surcharge for getting it apparently wasn't enough money for them. In the end they got 25% of the money I put on the darn thing. Never EVER would I recommend this card unless you are super rich and are putting tens of thousands of dollars on the thing, and only need it for a short time. Otherwise they are just another company that overcharges on fees to get rich quick -- even if only 1000 people use the card per month, that's already 8k in the bank for them without even actually doing anything. Now, if you need to MOVE the money on/off the card -- those fees are even worse I wont even get started on that because I didn't make the mistake of saying ok when it showed me how much it was going to charge for a simple withdraw from the account.

There was money stolen from my account sept 2nd from *******@gmail.com saying i sent it to this email yeah ok of 650 bucks been dealing with it ever cents i did the dispute they gave me credit 14 days later but guess what card no good now cant transfer money either theyblocked that i get told every day i sent my documents to wrong email which it is rigjt i sent them 17 different times to 4 different email. Its unreal every day stress i want my money that those people have stolen

My card account was blocked and then closed entirely in one day as soon as my payments were deposited on my card, I was asked to email my Nys identification and I did immediately, so now my account is closed and I was told by a manager that I have to call Dept of labor and tell them to request a refund for my money and then they can resend my money. I had this card for the past year with no problem at all now my account is closed and your answer to this simply makes no sense whatsoever. I will post bad reviews every day until my money is refunded to me, you're also going to feel uncomfortable as I do right now without my own money. Green dot SUCKS

A friend of mine had owed me money for about a year so he sent me the $1,200 by Green Dot MoneyPak reload kit. He texted me the receipts and the numbers off the back of the car that I would need to keep the Green Dot I try to log into my account it would not let me in. If you know anything at all about Green Dot you know that the customer service is almost non-existent. The $1200 I was going to use towards my security deposit on an apartment. I have to submit an electronic complaint 2 weeks later I get a notice from Green Dot that they're going to require me to submit the actual hard copies of the documentation documentation and review will be taking another 4 weeks.
This is downright thievery. Do yourself a favor never ever purchase Green Dot MoneyPak!

I am very concerned and upset. I can't understand why I have not received the 2000 dollars i was scammed for by someone whom was not my account just used my money and I reported it to Green Dot when it was first purchased and pending but instead they told me to contact Amazon see what they had to say an that was to dispute it an there should be no reason my bank should not give me the money right back. I haven't received anything from Amazon so Green Dot is just gonna let me loose 2000 dollars that I work hard for and have to pay rent with and Amazon said it was fraud bc it wasn't made on my account and I reported it right when it was made on my card. Now they are saying it will be oct 19 2000 dollars is a lot to me and I have used you Green Dot forever why are y'all doing this. Now I have to contact an attorney about my money bc my own bank will not give me my money come on green dot I just want what was taking from me.

Customer serves can never seem to actually fix any issues on account. When my account was taken over I spent 2 months fighting with green dot Corp to have my account balance refunded to me. They still have not refunded anything and when ever I call to get an update they sat it's "still in review" review and issuing a check for the remainder in my account was only suppose to take up to two weeks. Not sending me my money is theft. And terms to sue. Don't use this company.

I purchased a green. Prepaid debit card at the store to put money on an inmate's account at the federal bureau of prisons I have had green got weeping cards in the past and anyway when I registered the card so I could use it online they said they cannot he said they cannot verify my identity therefore I can only do in store purchases and cannot redeem card for cash yeah for cash and customer service is no help they just hang up on you This is just another scam for them to keep your money I recommend do not buy their services at all they will nothey will not do what you needed to do ever Plus it's fee after fee for everything you do every time you call customer service it's another fee but there's a joke everything about them I really wish that you could put a negative stars I would give him as many negative stars as possible

Loaded $500 on to the gold Greendot Visa because I had to pay my insurance by noon the next day and little was I warned that I had to wait 5 to 7 business days for my personalized card to come in the mail before I could use any of the features... like PAY ANYTHING AT ALL or even transfer to another card so I couldn't reinstate my insurance and had to turn my license plates in AND almost lost my driver's license. The packaging did not state this. So WARNING: DO NOT USE GREENDOT PREPAID CARDS!

I tried to get a refund for a debit card I can't use. Customer service is difficult to get live on the phone. Told me to send a picture of card & receipt. But company wont even accept my email to look over the pictures. Tried twice sending the email, tried several times to talk to someone. I guess I m one of the lucky ones. I just lost $37, but after reading other reviews (and there are many), other people lost larger amounts of money. ALL WAYS READ REVIEWS!.

The Walmart gift card visa is useless. You cannot use this card online, at the gas pump and so far any where else I have tried. I paid 3.95 over the card and cannot use the useless card any where I need to. Total fraud

Since November 2019 I've been waiting for them to release and give me back my money that was deposited in my closed account. Countless times I have called, emailed, spoke with different people with Green dot to give me my money. They kept saying that they will send it in the mail. It's September 2021 and have yet to receive the $2500 that was in my account back. Every time is always the same answer and every time is just bull crap. That is a lot of money that I don't have, that I could use for other things. It's ridiculous! I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE. They're complete garbage.
