Green dot restricted access to my card due to "unusual activity". The only activity the card had was my direct deposit from a reputable company. After 24 hrs of holding & begging them to give me access to my funds they CLOSED my account! My employer has tried to call & get my deposit back so that they can reissue to me & they can't get anyone to do it. So they stole my whole paycheck from me. I am so sick over this & have no idea how I am going to make it. I live paycheck to paycheck.

This is a scam to gather peoples information and either resell it or utilize it for other reasons that people are being forced into in order to use their PRE PAID card. What a rip off, they interrupted my usage unless I did a direct deposit or gave them additional information that has absolutely no barring on someone that has already paid and placed money on the card. And for them to wait until after you have been using it is as shady as it gets. They require a pin to get your own cash and wont allow you to create a pin until you give them all this personal information (on a PRE PAID card) WTF!
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY

I had a zero balance in my Green Dot savings account for nearly 4 years. Their web site clearly states that the account would close automatically when it had a zero balance. But not only did the account remain open, they continued to charge the $7.95 monthly card fee. I wrote to them explaining all this in late 2019 or early 2020, but the monthly fees continued. I reached a customer service agent today, who assured me he had cancelled the account during our call. I hope he was telling me the truth.

DO NOT USE THIS GREENDOT COMPANY. THEY STOLE 400.00 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT A. YEAR AGO I WENT THROUGH HELL TO GET IT BACK. NOW THEY GAVE ME A 5 DAY NOTICE UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT I WOULD BE RECEIVING A NEW CARD WHICH NEVER CAME AND THEY STOLE $1,200.00 FROM ME THIS TIME MY BILL MONEY AND BLOUNTLY TOLD ME "TO BAD THATS YOUR FAULT YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 30 DAYS TO GET A CHECK IN THE MAIL" JUST LIKE I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE CARD THEY WILL BE PAYING EVERY LATE FEE EVERYTHING I LOSE DUE TO THEIR. POOR NEGLIGENCE I WILL BE IN COURT. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED BY PEOPLE WHO CANT EVEN SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH. THEY ARE THEIVES STEAL PEOPLES MONEY ROBBERS LOW LIFE TRASH. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING THEY DONT KNOW WHO THEY JUST STOLE FROM.

Green dot is so terrible. It hurts me how terrible it is. They will charge you money on your card when its not even activated yet and when you call most of the people are very unhelpful and they won't care about your problems and are true jerks to you.

Been with green dot for over 10 years no problem till this change over to go2bank card. Did what they asked. And they mailed me a card to use but got sent back to them cause of wrong addtess. So i checked that out found out on my green dot account had my apt. Number listed. So i checked on the go2bank site. NO apt number listed that why it got returned. There fault all the way. Now got my S. S. CHECK deposted on my green dot card. But account is closed. So i called 4 time. They said it was after the date. And they cant tranfer mymoney grom green dot to the go2bank. It will be mailed out in the next 30 days. I live off my S. S. got bills to pay. Like car payment car ins. And phone. Cant get my money. And if my car gets repode. Finding me a lawyer and sueing for min. Of 5,000.00 if not more. They can tranfer the money but dont eant to. So NEVER GOING WITH GREEN DOT OR GO2BANK EVER. FIND ANOTHER 1. THEY R A JOKE.

I just went through two months of misery because of this company! For all of you with issues getting your money back, you need to file a complaint with the Federal Reserve Board in San Francisco. They are the ones monitoring this company for now. When Green Dot moves it's corporate headquarters to Austin, TX, it will probably be overseen by the FRB there. I am not allowed to include the contact information for the FRB here. Google it.

GOOD LUCK! I spent TWO MONTHS going back and forth with their call center, with their agents reading from scripts, and telling me they were "so sorry for the inconvenience", and "send documents"! UGH! The FRB can help! Contact them!

Closed account, lied about how to get my funds that was on my card when they closed it. Now have to wait 30 days to get paper check. Never got the card in the mail talked to someone last week telling them that they said"do not fear" and in that moment I should of feared. Bc now I have no access to my money and my bills are not gonna care that green dot closed my acct with out my permission or their new stupid card.

I've been waiting on a deposit I made a month ago for 500.00 that I still haven't seen yet, every time I call green dot that put me on hold then hang up on me. The next call they get from me will be from my Lawyer

Green dot closed my account and refuse to give me my money that's in the account customer service is horrible very rude my cash deposit I made before they closed my account without me knowing refuse to release my money I put 2000 cash in the account A few days before they closed it very very dishonest company DO NOT USE GREEN DOT when talking to green dot they were laughing as I told them it's against the law to keep a customers money very crooked company

I put in a dispute back September 30,2021 they rest assured me that that will help me with my dispute not the case they throw your dispute in the garbage

Yes I dealt with. These people for mons. Now and told me if I provided them with documents they asked for they would provide me with a full refund they close my account because I wasn't using it and there were 784 in my account when they closed it. So I provided them with all they asked for but it wasn't enough they wanted me to run to the post office and get proof of address there they wanted me to go get a new license with the current address because I've been living there for 2 years where they were sending the cards my Green Dot cards too and I did all day asked and they still denied me my Green Dot refund from the account takeover these people are crooks they wasted my time my gas my efforts I am sick to my stomach having to deal with these people these people the Green Dot and go bank is also another one do not deal with them somebody actually stole two grand out of my account eagle Bank that's a whole nother story

I was given the card by a colleague as a retirement gift, the person not realizing that this was a bank card. Except for receiving the card and information about it, never received a statement as to was happening to my monies. Found out about 2 years later that my account was closed, and the money almost gone. Was very disappointed by the representative's response to my total disbelief. When I wanted to make sure that my information was not to be shared, that was a challenge in itself. DO not recommend this bank... found out the one representative was speaking to me from the Philippines, but the address is Sioux Falls, South Dakota!

Hi I've been a member of Green Dot bank for over a couple of years and I've got to say that their cash back promise sucks you don't ever get to earn money or at least they don't ever let you cash it out I've dealt with the fraud department numerous times and they will never find in your favor so you never get back whatever money these ragheads steal you can't get one person that understands English cause they're all Taliban terrorists who are anti Americans I recommend trying another bank this one sucks the big one

If you are with this company please close your account! They blocked my card for no given reason! I was told that I had to go through cash app to get my money back! So if you got your money tied up and don't want to run in this problem! Please withdraw all funds so you won't be stuff trying to figure out how to get your own money! Card blocked and couldn't even tell me why? That's a joke! Run people! I wish I knew this!

Greendot kind of sucks, honestly it's just the customer service. It takes forever to get things resolved.
