I believed I was on a Government website. When I got to the fees, I incorrectly assumed that there was an upcharge for expedited service as there is with Passports. I didn't realize that the Federal Government will issue a EIN (tax ID number) at no charge. I didn't need my ID number in a hurry, so I opted for the regular service. I was amazed when I got an email with my number only hours later, at a cost of $129.00! When I opened the email, I realized that it was not from the IRS, but from an agency (GovSimplified) There was also someone I had never heard of, listed as my 3rd party designee. I don't know who this employee is, or why his name is on my application, but I hope that some unknown entity having my SSN# is not going to cause problems later on. I have called them and asked for his name to be removed and the form SS-4 to be resent. I will also file a claim with my credit card company for the fee.
Very prompt service with great professionalism and ease of use. They over delivered by a wide margin on time and accuracy. Very impressed.

This site is a rip off. And not associated with the IRS or federal government. Do not pay for your EIN.
Well to start you can do this yourself for FREE, again that is FREE, on the IRS website. You put the same information in and it is instant on the IRS website. Don't make the mistake I did by paying $150 for someone else to submit the form that I filled out online anyway.
Now this govsimplified does complete the service they promise and in a very timely manner. So I can't complain there. I am just mad at myself for spending unnecessary funds for this.

It was very easy to apply for an EIN. The form was simple, and the instructions were clearly stated and easy to follow. Follow up e-mails were timely.

I thought that I was on the IRS site when I recently purchased the EIN for my high school reunion committee (now required by law). I was appalled to find out that I could have done the same thing for FREE, whereas my committee paid your company $147 for the privilege. In addition, I see that I could have paid an even lower cost on your site, but that option was not available when I went to make payment. Very disappointing and deceptive practices, in my view.

The process for this application was pretty straight forward, but after completing the form and submitting it, I noticed that a Third Party was added to the form. I did not notice that this happened, and I did not desire this to happen.
Not sure what it means or how it will affect my EIN number.

I was a little surprised when I saw one of two EIN requests was delayed. When I replied to the email the form and format was strange and didn't leave me knowing whether or not I'd responded correctly. I don't like the email format. As a guy who lives at his computer it's a bad system. But,

The representative completed the application over the phone wrong and now it's up to me to correct information with IRS which I think they should be responsible for correcting.

I felt the delivery charges were outrageous and very deceiving, I almost paid $199 for an expedite delivery, instead I only took one upgrade delivery for next day $149 in exchange of the basic $99 but regardless I receive it immediately in my inbox, it really looks like a big scam to get more money for a delivery that doesn't cost a thing, very disappointing very fishy

All processing agent, CPA's and Lawyers must document their name as a third party designee, this designee is the agent that processes your application and is required to be documented by the IRS. This designee is only for the purposes for processing your EIN on the given date and is null and void after the application is processed and the EIN obtained. You will receive an official confirmation document in the mail within 2-3 weeks this document will not have a third party designee's name on it and you will need to keep this document for your official records.
