Pathetic that a company like this has to resort to bundling subscriptions with camera purchases in order to scam people out of $50 when it auto-renews. Then REFUSE to refund even though there is absolutely no reason not to issue a refund unless you are trying to straight up rob people since there is absolutely no equipment involved.

BEWARE GoPro Subscriptions! Signed up for a 1-year subscription that I cancelled the same day it renewed. GoPro still charged my account multiple times. Customer Service? I purchased a GoPro 8 Black 10 months ago. Cam had a red light in the front of the cam. Checked their website for help. Found out these cameras have an existing problem with this issue.
Called customer service, advised all info they promised will get back to me which they never did. I waited 48 hours then i called back to find out because of the place I purchased it from they are not an authorize dealer. I argued with them on who cares where did I get my cam from since is still a Gopro Product they should honor the year warranty so they refused.
I will never buy a gopro product again.
I called a month after buying my GoPro to cancel my annual subscription, a year later saw i was charged on my card statement to a card that's frozen call and customer service said they don't issue refunds i never used the subscription services and never will i don't even have a GoPro any more. Horrible customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone else ever GoPro has list a customer for life.
I bought their top of the line products. Tried out an annual service plan. Didn't use it. They charged me the following two years on autobill...which I didn't notice. I tried to cancel the day they charged me this year but they refused to give me a refund. I guess I won't buy their over-priced devices ever again.
I was appalled by the service of Go Pro. They took forever to cancel my order, did not communicate with me that they had. In which I had to call multiple times. Their poor service caused me to miss promotional deals. When I called them, they ignored me on my call. The worst service. I expected so much better for go pro.
GoPro is not interested in satisfying or even communicating properly with customers in paid replacement device exchanges. They miscommunicated and even mislead throughout the entirety of an unecessarily long process to replace one device.
This camera is trash. I was able to use it only once after the camera wouldn't turn on. So i've checked online and so much people having trouble with their products. The customer service is garbage just trying to save time and make the warranty expires. The list of supported country for exchange or refund is so little only Europe basically. I bought this camera in China, YES they sell in China but it is not a supported country! Now i am abroad and i have to pay 150 USD for less than 1 KG shipping in order to send it back and get an exchange camera, it is not covered because of my current location. You can ship only through UPS off course the most expensive shipping service in the world. DONT BUY GO PRO DONT LET THEIR MARKETING STRATEGY FOOL YOU
I purchased a brand new Hero 10 Black that had an issue, so I contacted GoPro Support. They had me perform a few troubleshooting steps, submit a sample video, then they emailed me a return label. I sent the camera back and received a brand new replacement within two weeks. Their customer service reps were very professional and courteous, I had an overall great experience.
The equipment seems nice... but make sure to turn off the auto renew for the cloud storage and camera replacement subscription service. If it auto renews, there does not appear to be a way to get the $49.99 charge removed. It almost seems like a gotcha game to them and they seem to feel good when they gotcha.
I had some family medical issues where I ended up spending 40 plus hours per week being caregiver to my folks in addition to my life's other responsibilities. That started just after I received the camera so I have not used the service or equipment for nearly a year. I forgot to cancel the auto-renew with all going on and when I saw the $49.99 charge on my credit card statement, I called them and let them know what was going on and tried to cancel that service.
Their response was that it renewed and THEY DO NOT REFUND that service but auto renew was now turned off so I would not be billed for it next year. I explained my situation further but they stuck to their statement of no refunds [even though in the agreement it says they could reverse the charge if they wanted to]. It almost seemed like they enjoyed the fact that I forgot about it and they could charge me anyway.
TIP: make sure to turn off the auto renew for any services you opt into. That way you have a CHOICE to continue with the service when it comes time to renew.
I ordered a camera on February 3. On February 10 ups tracking number Said the camera was dropped off at a amazon facility south of where I live about a half hour's drive. Don't know why gopro sent it to an amazon facility in the first place. They had the correct mailing address. On february 13 I called gopro and got a case number said it would be resolved in 2 to 3 business days. Call back again on that friday and got the same b s. Today is March 1st and I just called them again took 13 minutes to get somebody on the phone gave them my case number and they said somebody would call me. Back within five minutes and I never got to call back. So in conclusion GoPro in my opinion is going to be short lived company do not do business with them for they do not care about customers. OK they did get back to me and it took another 20 minutes Being on the phone and they said they're going to refund my money within 7 to 10 business days. I will believe it when I see it.
GoPro support team not take customers issue seriously. After at least reaching out to GoPro customer support, I have been told that some executive or manager will call me. And never happened. I provided my phone number 4-5 times at least. It's a waste of time.
Before you buy any GoPro product think twice of what kind of customer service you will get. Very Very poor customer service.
My go pro black 10 broke, and sent it back for a return under the warranty policy, Return Merchandise Authorization for Case ******* - it arrived on January 3rd at the warehouse. Today is January 16th, no tracking number, no communication on the next steps. I called now 2 times, the second time they advised me they would check with the warehouse and would get back to me in 24 hours, no one reached out. This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had, I've been a gopro customer for 5+ years, after this experience I will never purchase their products again. The quality of the cameras has also gone down over the years which you can make up for customer service, in their case it's not existent.

Another company using bait and switch, offering free subscription but really they're counting on you to forget to cancel in time since you haven't used the service once since you got it and totally forgot it existed. Yay, you're making money off people who are too busy to read through all their junk email to find a renewal notice sent during thanksgiving, what a great way to make money? Wouldn't it be better to make money from a great service that people willingly pay for and use readily? I keep and pay for many subscriptions because they are a good value and I get much use out of them, and because the companies have good customer service and policies. Why anger and alienate customers who will in turn write negative reviews about your company, and warn others to avoid you? Just makes no business sense, unless of course you don't stand behind your product and just want to make money in a dishonest way.
