Best friends made here. Good Dog makes it simple for people to get dogs from good sources and for reputable breeders, shelters and rescues to put their dogs in good homes. And we provide all the support and guidance you need to feel confident every step of the way!
Good Dog has garnered a reputation for facilitating a seamless and trustworthy experience in connecting potential puppy owners with vetted breeders. Customers appreciate the user-friendly app, responsive customer service, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing breeders adhere to strict ethical standards. However, some breeders express frustration over the platform’s stringent policies and lack of transparency regarding fees and breed restrictions, which they find arbitrary and unfair. Overall, while many users celebrate their positive experiences, concerns about fairness and communication highlight areas for potential improvement in the company's approach.

Waldo German Shepherds in Allen NB, are excellent breeders. Small operation, and they produce some fantastic, quality dogs. I received our Onyx two years ago. She is wonderful. Missa and Bob Waldo take excellent care of the puppies and do a lot of testing with them. They take a lot of time to correctly match the puppy with the potential owner. I highly recommend them.
Gooddog was great, they now allow poorly bred breeders on their site and give you some BS story on how they allow them because they meet their minimum health testing requirements. I'm looking for a sheltie and they allow chaseme shelties in bonner county idaho to post on their site, a puppy mill who breeds poorly bred shelties and poshies (sheltie Pom mixes) they do no health testing! They lie and gooddog allows it. I will not support a website who covers the tracks of puppymills!
You won't believe the astonishing experience I had when I initially contacted a breeder five months prior to the adoption date. Everything seemed to be going well, and the breeder was incredibly polite. The price advertised on their website was $800, which I considered quite reasonable, especially compared to the higher prices of show dogs. However, my excitement turned to disappointment when, after placing a deposit and selecting our puppy, I discovered that the new price had skyrocketed to a staggering $1500! To make matters worse, this increase was never communicated to us during the entire puppy purchasing process. Given our financial constraints, my wife and I reluctantly decided to withdraw from the purchase. This was particularly heart-wrenching for my wife, especially considering that the breeder promptly altered the pricing information on the website just moments after I raised the inconsistency.
What made the situation even more absurd was the fact that we were not offered a refund, despite providing substantial evidence in the form of time-stamped screenshots taken the day before. It is truly disheartening to realize how unprofessional the Good Dog website has been in handling this matter. The breeders appear to be poorly vetted, and in our specific case, they exhibited rude and condescending behavior. Potential puppy seekers BEWARE!
Hi Jason,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad that our team was able to communicate with you over the past few days, as well as reach out to the breeder on your behalf.
As the team shared with you, this breeder does have a deposit policy that is non-refundable, which is clearly labeled. Each breeder sets their own individual deposit policies with buyers, especially around whether a deposit is refundable or non-refundable. We encourage puppy buyers to choose a breeder whose policies align with what they feel most comfortable with, because we do honor the policies that a breeder and buyer agree to.
We hope this helps answer your questions related to the non-refundable deposit you completed. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to help or if you have any questions or concerns.
I was so burnt out searching for legitimate options on finding a puppy. I am SO glad I used Good Dog, it felt safe and payments were guaranteed...as scam-proof as I found. I now have the Great Dane puppy of my dreams, from the best breeder, Greylynn Great Danes! Thank you!
SNOW WALKER GOLDENS- Mari and Bruce are absolutely wonderful to work with. The passion and knowledge they have about their dogs, go above and beyond.
Their babies are top notch!
This is no ordinary breeder- this is FAMILY!
Thank you for our Precious boy- we are beyond blessed.
Great experience with Good Dog. They connected us with two Breeders for our two Aussies. They regualrly followed up to see how our search was going. The dogs (Sadie 1 1/.2 yrs old now; and the new pup, Bess) are wonderful. Two paws up from me!
Be warned!Good dog has mostly backyard breeders. We are breeders and there was no vetting process. On top of that they have kept the money that should have went to us the breeders. We have sold several dogs recently through them an they have kept all the money! Be warned! Please read reviews about them before ever considering using them. They are a scam with 6 investors and nobody ever answers the phone or return emails. I've had to ask my clients to cancel there payment after 1 week of payment and still "pending"
Hi Jaime,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We know our Support team was able to connect with you and work with you quickly towards a resolution to your issue. We’re glad they were able to help clarify how “pending” and “completed” payments work on our platform, and reassure you that you safely received the payment for your pups!

I just adopted a Yorkie pup from Good Dog. I worked with Andrea Chalup and found the perfect little fur baby. I can't say enough about Andrea, she is a great breeder which is evident from the quality of the puppies. She is a family breeder the puppies are in her home with both parents present and the whole family participate in their care. Our little girl is amazing, intelligent and very alert. She was already familiar with a doggy door so potty training has been a breeze. Couldn't be happier or more in love! I highly recommend getting your new family member through Good Dog. Great company, very professional and caring breeders. I would definitely use them again. Thank you Good Dog and especially our breeder, Andrea Chalup!
My ad was taken off GoodDog because their 'compliance team' deemed that I bred my female Morkie too early. Based on the AKC breeding age guidelines of not earlier than 8 months old, my female was 9 months old when bred. Although I do wait until the second heat, this little one escaped one day. Two buyers had placed deposits and others were considering buying a puppy. If this is a GoodDog policy, and it must be, it needs to be stated in their guidelines. I would hate for someone else to be placed in the awkward position in which I was placed.
Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for reaching out. We’re glad that a member of our Compliance team was able to share our Good Breeder Code of Ethics with you, and direct you to the specific policy that applies to your situation (Breeding and Care section 4): https://www.gooddog.com/breeder-code-of-ethics
As previously shared with you via email, one area that our advisors and screening committee considers is a dog’s onset of breeding age in order to optimally maintain their health and welfare. Based on recommendations from canine reproductive veterinary specialists, our screening committee typically likes to see that Morkies and Yorkshire Terriers are allowed to mature to 12-18 months before being bred.
We hope this answers any remaining questions you may have. We continue to wish you and your program nothing but the best!

I purchased Bentley October 1,2022. He has such a beautiful personality & loving & affectionate puppy. His mom passed away after giving birth to him. Third of a litter of 3. The breeder OMG what a spectacular job Debi Lynn did. I call her the breeder extraordinaire. It was so evident of her love and care for the puppies. When I purchased Bentley, he was 3 months, old and train. I didn't have to do very much in regard to training him. I just picked up where she left off. We love our little boy. Thank you Debi. We live you!
Very helpful and understanding wanting to find me the right dog to fit my life style
Good Dog is a necessary resource, a result of people cheating other people. Rock Springs Pugs, owned by Michael Booker, is a very reliable, honest, responsible breeder. Michael has a great personality, loves his dogs, more importantly, he is knows his breed lines. Michael follows his puppies to insure that all is well with them. He wants you to stay in touch, keeping him informed. He has DNA research to ensure that they are healthy.
I have confidence in Michael's breeding operation. Early March we purchased a male puppy from Michael for our son. A week later, we drove 18 hours back to Alabama and got a second one for ourselves. Da-ha, I knew when we got the first one...
Michael is a solid resource for anyone interested in pugs. He is the end of your search.
Michelle Izer of Rose Petal Farm has been a joy to work with! She helped make the entire process smooth for this first-time dog family, she knows her breed and saw that we were the right match for her puppy. And, other Corgi breeders that I reached out to through Good Dog to have been equally helpful, professional and welcoming. I will recommend Good Dog to everyone who is looking for their next furbaby. Our experience exceeded expectations!
Good dog did a great job helping me find a new friend for my daughter that lost her last buddy after 17 years. We picked up the pup today and things are great. My daughter will be giving a full review of her new buddy named Tess since she is the owner. Thank you all!
My boyfriend and I just got an adorable Cavalier from Rolling Meadows and we couldn't be happier. She's healthy, happy, and everything I hoped for in a puppy. Jan was pleasant and easy to work with. Great experience!
Everyone I made contact with was friendly and eager to work with me. I felt like I could trust the information provided and would feel confident moving forward when I am ready.
Immediately when I completed my application I was notified of my pending application. And Good Dog has been following up with me.
We have been successful so far in contacting people to connect them with our puppies.
Initially your format was a bit confusing but it is working now and people are contacting us.
Caroline Lee is the absolute best breeder on here. I loved my experience with her. She is straightforward, pleasant and down to earth. She's willing to work with you, meet you and help you pick out puppy supplies. What else can I say. I purchased a Pom pup, she met me and helped me shop for the perfect pup harness. I love good dog and the steps it takes to purchase. My boyfriend wants a pup for his mom and we will definitely be working with grace pups again.
