Our company has used GoDaddy for email services. I received an email last week stating the email account was going to be disabled. I called. The rep said that wasn't correct, email services would be around until early next year. We discussed a migration plan but agreed to talk again this week. Over the weekend, GoDaddy disabled my email. I've spent ALL DAY on the phone with GoDaddy, still no email.
Notice all the good reviews are invited reviews. Stay away from this company. The worst customer service. I spent an entire weekend trying to upgrade. The customer service person said it was done! "Not to worry!" in the end, they ended up upgrading me and then immediately canceling which made me lose access to my email. Tried to just go back to where I was because I was so upset with them but now the ONLY way I can access my email is if I upgrade. Horrible business STAY AWAY.
I have been a customer of this company for several years, but something unbelievable is happening now. I purchased an email from them, and for a whole week, they have been unable to activate it due to various reasons. Today, I had my third conversation with their customer support, and they offered to wait another 24 hours. In the 21st century, I can't activate an email for a whole 7 days! It feels like they fired people and hired robots for customer support.
Appalling service, horrible people hiding behind policies, they are scammers. Make sure you read the small print and understand before signing up to their products. I was conned into continuing paying for a service that I don't need. This was advised by one of their advisors in customer service. Imagine subscribing for a product for a year and not needing it, paying 29.99? I am quite upset. No apology, and hiding begins their refund policies. A terrible, terrible, company!

I bought a domain name in 2020 from Go Daddy and cancelled it in 2021. To my surprise, I saw my PayPal account's notification said that I send a payment to Go Daddy. I called it and told the agent that I had cancelled the plan two years ago why was I getting charged now? I also told him he could go to my domain to see for himself if it was disabled. He admitted to the truth that my domain was disabled. He said to refund you, you have to tell me your pin and your account number otherwise he can not refund me the wrong charge. I have not been on their website for over two years, I don't remember the pin and the account number. So he would not refund my money to my PayPal account which is where he changed the money from. What a big SCAM! Beware It.
I had two horrible experiences with Go Daddy. The first one (2021) was managing the increased space on One Drive where the rep accidentally deleted the latest copy of my information. Then they referred me to Bask, an affiliate who charged me to recover the information. After a week they couldn't recover the information and obviously cancelled the whole thing. No accountability.
The last one was a website build where the sales rep represented that the website would be searchable with Google, Bong, etc. not only by typing the name at the top but the search engine. Come to find out if you want this to appear on a search engine it's extra and managed by yet another affiliate. They need to be much more transparent on what things are and aren't included.
Did not build the site correctly after paying over $3,000! Took months for them to get even the basic things done properly. ZERO customer service. Whenever I am fortunate to finally reach someone after hours on hold or waiting for a call back they all say the same thing "sorry that's not my department". Then they continue to send me emails telling things are fixed when nothing has been done. I have not been able to access my godaddy payments for 3 days. Their 24/7 site support is actually Mon-Fri and only during certain hours. Been chatting, texting, emailing - nothing has been done except for me wasting my time. I'm begging you to find another website developer and host. Basic things that you find on thousands of e-commerce sites they tell you they are unable to do. Been over a year and they have continued to prove they care nothing about their clients or their clients business.
AWFUL SERVICE! BEWARE! I just spend an hour on the phone with their customer (non)service. And they told me I need to call back again in 2 days to complete a simple transaction. What a scam! They are make it intentionally difficult to change the number of years and from privacy protection when domains are renewed. Basically they try to coerce you into paying for privacy protection and long term lengths. Want to make a simple change? Expect these jokers extorting a couple of hours of your time to make basic changes or get stuck with the costs. Their sexist ads featuring women with big boobs should have told me that they are unethical jerks.
I regret the day I spent $3k for these incompetent jerks to build and host my new website. Broken english, language barriers, untrained customer service. If I could cancel and get a refund I would.
I had domain name for over 6 years with GoDaddy. They started auctioning it off without my consent. The worst part is that this site is designed to take under privileged kids out fishing. I spoke with several support personal all very arrogant and trying to upsell instead of fixing the issue. I tried to bid on the auction as a last effort but GoDaddy also charged me to be able to bid. After that they falsely bid up the price of the auction. They can rot you know where. I will make sure to go out of my way to inform others of GoDaddy unethical practices.
I made a payment to my domain that i have owned for a year. They canceled my payment saying they need to verify my identity. So they asked me to upload forms, which i did. They said they would get back to me in 72 hours. Which they did not. So now FIVE DAYS LATER AFTER MISSING THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF OUR ORG BC THE SITE WAS DOWN, they say they can't see the secure forms that we uploaded and can we send all of that info via NOT SECURE email...this is like a 2 bit operation out of someone's basement. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I've had GoDaddy for many years and was happy with it until they outsourced everything along with customer service to another country. I've made multiple calls fix billing and also a hacking issue. No one I spoke to could fix any problems or answer questions. In fact they messed around with it so much my whole account was messed up. I have MS Office through them, when it renewed they billed me $560 for four years (too much for one thing), all I wanted to do was go to a monthly billing...gads we went down such a rabbit hole that literally had nothing to do with billing.
When my system was hacked it was right after I called them to set up another domain and the rep started asking me for my social security number, date of birth all kinds of things I've never had to give before and wasn't necessary. I finally just hung up. That night my emails were being changed asking for money by paypal. Anyways I'm switching out of GoDaddy and its too bad, they were a good company with excellent customer service. Also their renewal prices are terrible.
They wont let me remove domains that I purchased, but keep charging me for them. Their support by text never sent me a text message and support by call never got back to me. This is after multiple attempts to cancel. They seem hellbent to steal my money for the entirety of my life.
Buy your domain anywhere else.

The worst support, don't go there, waste of time and money, many times web site is down, email is down, calling support is a waste of time, some support team are careless just answer you to waste your time without any ability or intention to understand your issue, or how to resolve.
Scammers, i bought a domain for amount 1050 and they gave a free access to webbuilder. Once i published the website after few days they told me that i bought hosting with marketing plans, which i never did. Despite i informed the live chat representative I'm not interested in marketing etc i was charged for that and amount was deducted automatically. She told me they will unpublish my website if I'll not pay for marketing. I said no problem unpublish it but they deducted amount without my consent. Their plan are too expensive as compared to other competitors.
Intersting part i don't require any marketing. They showed me 400/month and charged 1300/month. ******* in total but deducted amount *******

Additionally, live option vanished since they deducted amount. Now only option is call them, which is too expensive to reach out. You can't remove your card from their website so they can deduct any amount whenever and how much they want. They are swindlers better stay away from them.

Upon starting a business, I was stumped with how to create a website. Go Daddy started off as simple, but each time I thought I made progress, they charged me more money. I'd spend hours "chatting" with people on their chat feature, only to be disconnected over and over by them. It has now been four months and I have yet to publish my website because of their lack of customer support. DO NOT USE GO DADDY!
I have purchased VPS and Shared hosting from GoDaddy. In VPS, Server was restarted automatically almost every day. Called Godaddy for several times but they raise the hand. Yesterday My Shared hosting was infected by Virus, All folders and files changed, Godaddy support told me that its only your issue.

Could I possibly give them less than one star. This company is terrible. I've been with GoDaddy for more than 8 years. All I would like to do is re-direct my website to GoDaddy and shut it down, and then have GoDaddy host my email rather than another company. I'm trying to give them more of my business. After waiting on hold more than an hour, the customer service person, who doesn't speak English accidentally hung up on me. Then, I tried the online chat. After waiting more than 30 minute to get a live person, they were unable to help me and claimed I was a security risk, and suggested that I should call customer service instead. I called multiple times and the call center messages always say my hold time will be more than 60 minutes. Finally, today, the message said it would be 24 minute, so I decided to hold. I'm sitting on hold now, it's been 28 minutes.
I have spent 2 weeks and trying multiple times to transfer my domain away from GoDaddy. I have talked with them in chat, and on the phone each time with the promise that they will transfer my domain successfully. No matter who I talk to or what I do, the transfer is rejected by GoDaddy.
If you look at their google raitings, the same person "T" has given positive raitings, likely done by someone at Godaddy to obscure their negative reviews.
I highly reccomend avoding this company. Siteground is a better hosting option.

Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
