Gixen has worked very well for me for many years. I not only subscribe to it but I also pay for use of the mirror site.it is a great eBay sniper and takes all of the emotion out of the process. I can set up my snide for three seconds before closing and it has worked very well for me. You simply set up the maximum you would ever pay for an auction and let Gixen do the work. I started out with the free version but because of how successful they were I wanted to support their business and signed up for the inexpensive Mirro service. They are closely aligned with ebay and great at communicating any impending changes to the process. I used to use bidnip and was very pleased with it but that seems to have gone down(with some of my bids) so I tried Gixen for free and was surprised. I decided to use the pay version as it was so cheap. Excellent value.

Reading the questions below I can assure you that Gixon is not a Scam... it is a legitimate snipe program that is fast in the closing seconds of the auction and very reliable. I also subscribe to a mirror service that gives me two bids that arrive on time and act as a backup in the vagaries of the internet.
I highly recommend the service which I find cost effective. I am not after a cheap service... but want one that works and is reliable every bid. Rare antiques come up sometimes only once in a lifetime and I have to have peace of mind that my snipe will work.

Gixen is a no-frills eBay sniping service that is free, doesn't require installing any software, and most importantly works very well. If you are sniping on eBay, you should be using Gixen.
I started using Gixen 2 years ago after the eBay sniping software I used before (BayGenie) quit working. BayGenie was good back when it worked and they updated it. When I found Gixen, it seemed almost too good to be true with no per-snipe fees and being free, but it's true!
The VERY inexpensive paid subscription upgrade is totally worth it in my opinion. The key benefit I get from the paid annual subscription is peace of mind, adding a fault-tolerant mirror as a backup. The uninformed might think this isn't necessary, but on the Internet and with cloud and hosting services there can be outages that are entirely out of Gixen's control. The small fee helps guarantee that something like that won't happen when YOUR snipe is on the line.
The Gixen program has surprised me with its performance -- I don't often buy from eBay, and cannot afford to sit by my computer all day and all night. It was a pleasure to discover that I had won an auction! YES I highly recommend Gixen... although I do not know what will happen when everyone uses the program! For now -- very happy with it and recommending it.

Honestly, if you use eBay you should use Gixen - I have been using it for many years, and I happily pay the $6 per year for the enhanced service. Simple, straighforward, effective - It does exactly what it says on the tin.
It is essentially free and with the mirror site has been key in getting me additional wins on ebay. I'm a collector that buys a great many items on ebay (100's per month) and instead of paying fees per items to the other snipers I used to use, I put the savings I get from using GIXEN back into my bids and my wins at auction per money input are way up. Simply put, GIXEN only cost me for the mirror site - a small fee, but that was my choice. And, if you don't use the mirror site option, it's completely free! This is a no brainer!
I've used Gixen for 6-7 years. It's always reliable and a great value especially for EBay items that are popular &/or pricey.
