Someone on their sight (Mariachi Mexicanismo) didn't show up to my wedding which I payed for, and gig salad basically said it was my fault. Terrible customer service and poor very "slick willy" type people.
I have been using GigSalad to book me for my caricature balloon twisting and face painting gigs for several years now, and have had great success. I highly recommend them!

What I like about GigSalad is that it came up afterwards with a system that allows vendors to pay for results. If you're not making enough to justify any yearly payment, you can still benefit from the platform by paying GigSalad a percentage of what you make. This arrangement is much fairer than paying a yearly fee without knowing whether it will produce any result.

Gig salad it is a wonderful page where you can found people interested in what do you do and they really appreciate your work when you are responsible and talented. I have gotten many events through this page and and I think it has helped me a lot to increase my events!

I'm a musician, and have booked 5 gigs so far with Gig Salad. They've all been premium, top notch gigs, the pay has been great, and it's nice that they deal with the monetary end of things, so no money exchanges hands between me and a client. Plus the gig is paid for up front so you know you're getting paid. One thing I recommend -- build a little extra into your quote to cover the service fees. If you're trying to walk away from a gig with $500, quote the gig at $525. Overall this is a great service, I would highly recommend. However...
Don't expect premium gigs and clients if you don't have premium content displaying what you do. If you're a musician, and have a shaky iPhone video from an old phone shot in 2011 with crummy audio & people talking in the background... you're probably not going to do very well. You get out of this what you put into it. Make a top notch profile... get professional quality pictures, video and audio, write a great bio etc. etc.

Thank you to Gig salad for keeping the gigs coming. Because of the pandemic I have lost some pretty good gigs with another site. But the gigs have still been coming with Gig Salad. Keep up the good work.

I've gotten many offers, especially when I was a paid member, but there was no way to indicate that I was never available on Friday night or Saturday, and that's 99% or what I got. I'm told that feature is/was coming soon (excluding days one is not available). Regardless, they deliver what they promise. I recommend them.

With a premium membership I'm getting a good amount of leads. However I'm wondering why it takes 10 to 12 business days to get a deposit check received?

Regarding your question, payment by check is the slowest method because the checks must be processed, printed, then mailed by hand (and unfortunately we cannot control the speed of the post office). However, we do offer direct deposit payments which only take 1-2 business days or PayPal payments which take 3-4 business days. Gig Salad is the place for quality gigs. With an efficient setup and good customer service we have had good experiences interacting with the company and booked nice gigs. Overall we are happy with the platform.

Our duo, Little Black Dress (www.LBDduo.com), has been using GigSalad for several years. I have to say with the latest interface changes and steady stream of meaningful gig opportunities, they have become our go to for getting gigs over the other guys, hands down. Even with the trials of COVID, GigSalad has continued to offer gigs when the other service has gone silent. I am really happy with the way things are running at GigSalad and look forward to future opportunities through them.
