So it's 3 pm on July 13, and they write to me that my tour of the Eiffel Tower tomorrow morning at 9 am is cancelled because, get this, tomorrow is Bastille day and the tower is closed. I mean, could you possibly be anymore incompetent than that? And then GetYourGuide just blames the tour provider, as if it's not their name that made me book it in the first place. If I had a tour provider that cancelled an entire day of tours because they apparently weren't aware of the biggest holiday in France I would kick them off my platform, but apparently GYG doesn't care about whether they work with quality vendors or not.
I found quite cheap tickets for the colisseum i and they were cancelled in the morning, what do you do with 3 disapointed teens?

Scammy - I booked a tour last minute but my first booking had the incorrect time and number of people- was a simple error. I was in a hurry and booked the correct one right after. The vendor saw the double booking and told me it was no problem and would be taken care of (but it is not up the vendor). I contacted GetYourGuide afterwards asking them to remove the second charge as it was an error and never used. They kept giving me the run around about how per their "policy," I would have had to cancel the booking 24 hours ahead of time- even though I booked within an hour of the tour! Use another company please. So unethical.

We paid $75 per person for a "guided tour" of the Eiffel tower. The meeting place was a 15 minute walk away from the tower. We walked to the tower, we had a 10 minute talk from the guide about Eiffel Tower information. They she said "ok, go get in line". There was no "fast pass" to get into the queue quicker. We saw that we could have bought tickets for $29 per person and stood in the same line as all the other folks. Just a total rip-off. Their website always says "will probably sell out" which is not true. Just buy your tickets at the tower. Don't waste your time on this "guided tour"!

They have an address for the bay ride tours listed about a mile away from the actual location and won't respond to emails now I'm out tolls, parking and the cost of the cruise

The museum pass mobile tickets did not work at either the Louvre or d'Orsay. I attempted to resolve the issue while in Paris without success, "the passes should work" was the actual response I received. Save your money, go to the museum website and purchase a pass directly. This is a total rip off!

I scheduled a tour of The Last Supper and Duomo four months in advance and received a confirmation. Four days before the tour, I received an email saying that my tour had been canceled due to the provider. Customer service was rude when I called. Also, they do not allow you to write a review unless you actually get to attend it, and they reserve the right to delete any reviews that are only about their customer service or scheduling. This probably happens all the time, but is therefore not reflected in the reviews on their website.

For a recent vacation in Greece, I booked an excursion using GetYourGuide. The interface looked nice and the website provided what I thought were the details I needed to make an informed choice. It just did not work out that way.
Pickup was supposed to be at our hotel. This was a lie. I even spent a great deal of time picking a major hotel that was within the pickup area provided by GetYourGuide (GYG). The hotel information was submitted well in advance of the excursion. Pickup was supposed to be 5am. GYG said I would receive an email the day before from the tour company to confirm. None of this information was correct. Pickup ended up being at 6:30am, at a location 10 minutes away. None of this information was provided in the GYG app, despite their having access to the information. We missed the tour because all the information provided from the GYG app was incorrect; changed by a single email that we missed. They refused to refund our money. GYG claims no responsibility because of a single email that contradicted all other information GYG provided in the app.

BEWARE if you have Covid and need to cancel they will keep your money and refuse to do anything about it, even if you provide proof of a positive test result. We traveled to Scotland recently and we're infected with Covid. We couldn't make our tour because of this so we called both GYG and the venue we were supposed to visit. The venue said of course they would approve a cancellation due to Covid and GYG asked us for proof in the form of a positive test. We sent that and they randomly refused to refund our money. We asked several times and informed them that the venue told us that all GYG needed to do was call them to ask if they'd approve a cancellation and they would approve it. We told GYG this and they repeated that they wouldn't refund us. Now we're stuck with a voucher we'll never use and they have our money so we've had to dispute it with our credit card company. Super slimy way to treat customers and we will never give them our business again.

We were supposed to be shown the pulpit rock which many of us missed seeing. The tour guide should have announced earlier as we were approaching the site to be on the lookout for it.
Secondly the were promised that the tour would end exactly at 1pm- it actually was really delayed by 30 to 40 minutes

If you are planning a trip to Mykonos, Greece, and looking for a walking tour, please DO NOT book the Mykonos Walking Tour offered by Get Your Guide. A complete waste of $37.00 pp! The tour was supposed to be 3 hours but lasted 2 hours tops. When complaining we were told that the 3 hours included the transfers which was in fact 10 minutes. The content of the tour was very, very mediocre and what we learned we could have found on Google in 15 minutes. The only reason that I have given this tour a one star rating is that the guide was sweet. This tour should either be discontinued or offered as a Free Walking Tour. Unfortunately the company was not prepared to work with us in any form or manner to please their customer and thus my negative review. Extremely disappointing!

Met at the designated site at 2:51 for a 3pm start for a three hour walking tour of Paliment in London. There was no one there. When we finally got an agent in the phone she said the your left at 2:50, today June 16,2022. We asked if she could tell us where to go to meet the guide to catch up. They had no idea and the guide didn't answer their phone. Super frustrating. They would not reschedule the tour either. Feels like a scam. Find another tour outfit.

AVOID OR RISK A RUINED VACATION. Get your guide sent us the wrong information which caused us to miss our tour entirely. We went to Cairns specifically to visit the great barrier reef and were unable to do so because of getyourguides lazy service. They sent us the wrong time of the tour, listed 6 times in the confirmation email, and did nothing to resolve it afterward.

I booked my tour at 2:45pm and I arrived at 2:45pm. They canceled my tour and charged me extra $100. I requested a refund and they denied and say I'm late. How could I late? They admitted that I arrived on time but they said I should have arrived at 15mins because the voucher said that I should arrive 15mins early and said that I was supposed to be there at 2:30pm? Why 2:30pm? I reserved at 2:45pm not 2:30pm! How could I late when I booked at 2:45pm and arrived at 2:45pm? They scammed me and wanted to take my money without doing the tour. I will give negative star. They even challenged or dared me to post review (can't believe). They also blocked the review function on their facebook and website. SCAM!

All is well until something goes wrong, I booked a private walking tour in Monaco a month before only to be notified 2 hrs before tour that the tour was completely booked. This was a PRIVATE TOUR, I was told they were sorry but they do not have any control over third parties. I guess we learned the hard way, from now on I will only book directly with any tour company.

We purchased a ticket and waited at the meeting points GPS located. There were others waiting for the same bus. However, his never showed up, and they told us, we were not at the correct place. They refused to give refund. If your meeting point was not accurate, why should I be penalize for it. Not satisfied at all. There should at least be clear address or location.

We booked two tours. One was moved to a new time hours before and the other was canceled hours before. No call. Just an email hours before each. Then they tried to lie and say they tried to call us yet left no voicemail not did I see any missed calls. On the second tour that was canceled they blamed the Coliseum for a last minute changed because of a planned holiday event. Such BS. No offer of an alternative plan and a half hearted apology. Never using this company again..

Very poor customer service. We booked a Rome underground tour over a month in advance, which was confirmed and automatically paid for 24 hours prior and then with less then 15 hours left they told us it was cancelled by their tour operator because of a protest planned in Rome. Not sure where this protest was, but it wasn't at the Colosseum, as we were there anyways around the time our tour was to occur.
Yes, GYG is not the tour operator, but they made no effort to put us with another tour, tour group or tour provider. They just informed us that they are cancelling it and will be refunding your money sometime in the next 7-8 days.
We were then left scrambling to find last minute tickets the night before, but we could not get underground tickets, as we knew those sell out fast.
It's brutal that they will fully charge you 100% of the fee if you cancel with less then 24 hours, yet they can cancel with less then 24 hours and at no penalty to them or offering up of a discount elsewhere, etc.
The previous day we were in Vatican / Sistine tour booked through Viator and they informed us that they weren't able to get the audioguides we had booked. We showed up and without us saying anything, they paired us up with the Italian group tour leader and he brought us inside and he purchased English audioguides out of his pocket (assumed he was reimbursed by Viator), then sent us on our way for the self-guided tour we had booked. Viator went out of their way to make our booking correct, without us evening saying anything.
Get Your Guide did nothing for us.
We will not book with them again and we would never recommend them to others due to their customer service shortfall.

My husband booked a cooking tour for me on my birthday. Get your guide sent an automated email for confirmations of our trip. On the day we waited for over 30 mins for our pick up - no show! We contacted customer serve, automated message and no one we could contact nor speak to in that instance. We tried multiple ways to contact the company but no reply. EXCEPT until now on social media publicly reviewing them - then we had a reply!
We contacted the tour operator directly who told us that get your guide had no contacted them regarding our booking at all. They had NO KNOWLEDGE they were expected us. The tour operator also informed us that get your guide had also given out incorrect information as they did not pick up guests from Da Nang.
I do not recommend this website/app. Be prepared to be disappointed
