I bought Medical and Dental Insurance through Tobias and Associates who operated under the name getmehealthcare in January of 2019.
Their rates were much lower then everyone elses so I was suspicious but they seemed to be legit.
Then I got my teeth cleaned in April and the dentist said that the insurance company said I was not insured.
So I contacted Adroit who is the only one I could find info on in my emails about my insurance since I did not receive my insurance packets yet.
Then I had a medical emergency in June and I didn't know who to contact since I had no info sent to me. I finally got through to a rep and asked what doctor I could see and they had issues finding someone in Seattle. I asked if I could go to Kaiser Permenante and they did not know who that was. Then I got worried. I went to urgent care and paid out of pocket. Then the bank called and said there were some suspicious charges on my debit card for fashinnova.com and some airline tickets. The only company I used this card for was getmehealthcare. So put a block on them for future payments and filed a claim for the last payment. They fought it and my bank awarded them not me. I called getmehealthcare many times with the multiple extensions they gave me and no one answered 9 out 10 times. When I finally got a hold of them they were extremly defensive and would not offer a refund for the insurance they did not provide. I lost roughly $1800 because of this company. A company that is supposed to help me out. They also caused me major stress and aniexty for me not knowing where to go see medical attention after I sent them so much money.
Save your time, money and peace of mind and stay away from Tobias and Associates/ Getmehealthcare.
