Gerber knives and MultitoolsReviews 101

I have used this site twice to purchase tools for my husband- a multi-tool and a knife. Although I was a little dissapointed that my first order was not shipped in time for Christmas, I can't fault them for that. Apparently the multi-tool was not available until February, although that was not very clear when I purchased it. I was also surprised that my card was charged immediately and I did not have the option to cancel the order once it was submitted. That would be my only suggestion, though.

Otherwise, I have been pleased with the site, and especially with their emails that let me know about other deals they have going on. I purchased the knife that "matches" the multi-tool after recieving an email about it. I'm sure my husband is not as concerned that all his gear "matches," but if it convinces me to buy it for him, he's a happy camper! :)

The spade is good so far, but the website Gerber-Tools.com is not that good.

- Firstly, when I was finalizing order, delivery was upgraded automatically to more expensive without telling me, and it was too late to change it. I have to admit that change was correct because I bought the Spade from Canada, and delivery option is more expensive that I picked, but I didn't know it, and I didn't see that very special delivery option to Canada. Web-site did it for me automatically, but problem is web site changed my total only when purchase was finalized and money were payed. So, bigger grand total was a big surprise.

- Secondly, when I got an e-mail with tracking number, the link was saying that my item was delivered something like two years ago.

- Thirdly, when I send an e-mail with a question why my item was delivered two years ago while I just purchased the item, I didn't get any answer from customer support. Eventually in several days tracking system showed that my item in delivery.

- Fourthly, I was waiting for the item to be delivered for 2 weeks even thou I live in Toronto, not a rural area. When I noticed on tracking system that my spade is finally in Toronto, and Canada Post did three attempts to deliver, I realized that I have to change delivery address to my work place. So, when I asked Gerber-Tools customer support (Sales at gerber-tools.com) how can I change the address because The United States Postal Service tracking system didn't have any option to change it, I didn't get any answer from Sales at gerber-tools.com.

So, as conclusion, I would say that Gerber Spade is good, but customer support is absent in Gerber-Tools.com.

I bought a knife (Gerber Double Take 22-*******) and had it laser engraved for a groomsmen gift. I am a fan of knives and this one is really great for the price I paid (approximately $23.00). It is extremely sharp and is small enough to fit in a pocket during camping/outdoor activities. The laser engraving is in the best spot and is very visible.

I will definitely buy from Gerber-Tools.com again. They people over there do a great job and safisfied all my needs.

I've searched for this knife on multiple sites and Gerber-Tools.com have the best prices by far. I tested the knife by opening and closing it and the assisted opening on the knife makes it very smooth and quick. It easily fits in my pocket and doesn't poke me. Even with standard USPS shipping, I received my knife in 5 business days. So far I am a happy customer and I like the fact that the knife comes with a life time warranty.
