They do not help you at all just keep asking to look in your wallet and sending you to other communicaters. Just like Edward and Zander who don't help at all.
WARNING: DOSENT HELP YOU AT ALL DO NOT USE GEEKBUDDY!
The internet security Comodo uses geek buddy, I've been working on a very simple issue that the registration code will not work, over an hour 3 hang ups and 4 non-responsive online chats.
Should be a zero start but it will not allow for it.
Worst scam ever! Worst customer service ever! Worst satisfaction ever. Don't employee save your money and get fixed local!
It is impossible to express the level of outrage i have experienced in my interactions with comodo representatives. Rather than fixing my computer, three different reps left it in worse condition than they found it. My browser software was completely disabled and had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. The DISPLAY control panel has completely disappeared, leaving me unable to manage the monitors i use with this computer. These problems were caused by comodo techs while working on an unrelated problem with windows updates.
During the course of my FOURTEEN HOUR session, a SALES rep--at least that's what he said he was--actually attempted to destroy PERSONAL FILES on my computer screen. To be specific, he started deleting Word files where I was saving a copy of my chat sessions with comodo. I watched him do it and literally had to fight him for control of my own computer. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would find it hard to believe.
Having not finished repairs to my computer, TWO different reps came to the end of their shifts and simply handed me off to another rep without any communication of the issue. Of course that means we're basically starting over each time. More hours of watching this guy do things the last guy had already tried.
All three of the techs failed to respond for LONG periods, and none of them communicated anything to me about what they were trying to do. They heard "windows update problem," and attempted standard solutions without any effort to observe specific symptoms. When i mentioned that i had already completed a step they were starting, they simply ignored me (they did a lot of this). They did not respond at all; just kept working. No explanation. Of course, it didn't work for them just like it hadn't worked for me or for the last comodo tech who had tried it.
The third so-called expert to work on my machine restarted it AFTER he had disabled all of the services that enable the computer to communicate with a network. I had to CALL another person on the phone so they could talk me through restoring those services so that i could reconnect. All of this added about 40 minutes to the marathon un-help session. After this error, i was convinced of what i had already suspected: that this guy was so incompetent that if i let him keep working on my machine, he was likely to inflict additional damage.
My interaction lasted from the time i got home from work on Wednesday evening to the time I had to go back to work Thursday morning. I was willing to pull the allnighter if it solved the problem, but instead, my computer was further damaged by comodo reps. Now I anticipate that I will have to hire a competent professional to fix issues CREATED by comodo reps. This will probably cost me more than I have spent on the comodo service during my whole subscription period, which now includes four yearly payments.
I asked for a refund of this year's subscription fee, and was totally stonewalled--even a pro-rated refund was refused. An equitable settlement would require a full refund of all the payments i have made to comodo for the entire four year subscription period. Certainly, the damage inflicted on my computer thoroughly outstrips any "service" the company has provided. Someday, there should be a class action lawsuit.
I am convinced by this experience that the business practices of comodo go beyond incompetence into the realm of unethical. This is certainly the case with the rep who began attacking my personal files. The company's website says, "Our mission is simple, to create trust online." My experience leads me to believe that that slogan is not just incorrect, but deceptive. I now feel a moral obligation to exercise whatever influence I can to actively warn people to avoid doing business with comodo.
What i went through was THE WORST customer experience of my entire life. I actually find myself hoping that comodo will go out of business, something i never thought i would say about any company.
Outraged.
This site is horrible and scandalous stay away and don't trust them at all they will destroy your computer and tell lies and don't give them one red cent or you will be sorry it's always a different route than dealing with scammers like these Indians who can lie like a rug if zero stars was an option that is what they would get nothing like the service they provide so glad I was smart enough to not give them my bank info
This is the worst example of customer "lack of" support I have ever come across. Their so called gurus are iinept to say the least. Completely incapable of solving problems once their "cheat Sheets" run out of ideas. I have wasted many hours talking to countless support agents who know next to nothing. I cannot completely uninstall it from my computer either other thanm doing a clean install from the boot disk to remove it. Nothing short of being malware from an Internet Security company. Oh dear.
Spent 12 hours on chat in the last 3 days with 6 different techs and an addition 4 hours running scans on my pc and never come close to repairing it. They will not talk to you about problem on phone they request you sign on to CHAT line and they just assign you to yet another tech to start the 4 hour ordeal all over. They have no sups. Or manager you can discuss with. Terrible service and very incompetent GEEKS and definitely not buddy's. Stay away from these guys. To bad they do not have a Negative star to rate these guys with.
STAY AWAY! They take advantage and sabatage your computer! They are not helpful and are only after your money. I would have chosen zero stars if that was an option. EXTREMELY MAD AND IRRITATED because now I have to have my computer repaired.
I installed Comodo Backup. Seemed to go OK, the program says "Install Errors" The log shows things like Checksum, Reparse, etc... I try "Repair". It says OK. Reboot again, same errors.
I go online search Help, find nothing useful. Chat GeekBuddy. Describe errors, he asks for remote... OK. Flashes a few errore from EventViewer, tells me I have ToolbarHijackers, Junk Files, Low Virtual Memory, and Errors. Suggests he can fix... for a fee.
I run CCCleaner frequently, I DO NOT TOLERATE toolbar nonsense, I had just cleaned out junk files & temps, etc... My Workstation (HP xw8600 3.33 GHz dual XEON, has 6TB of RAID and enough RAM to run SolidWorks and load the directors cut of Dune into VirtulaDub without even a hiccup...
P.S. Why am I looking at backup s'ware? Because I'm dumping Carbonite for errors they blame on VSS. But when it takes 15 minutes to backup a 29kb. Csv file I suspect that they are not being honest.
They all have canned responses. To be honest, if you say "What's 1+1?" the GeekBuddy support agent will reply with "In order to answer that I need you to give me access to your computer." I never said yes but this most recent time right after I clicked No my PC honestly got a blue screen and the caps lock light started flashing (it wouldn't let me turn on my laptop). I had to watch a video on my tablet to get my PC working again, but my PC would just freeze up each time and I had to keep repeating the process of removing my battery, unplugging charger, holding Power, etc. The only way I could fix my PC was to do a System Restore from Safe Mode. I can honestly say GeekBuddy is a scam, at least the Comodo version. I'm amazed they can somehow illegally do this to you without being sued.
The Geek Buddies have come to the rescue repeatedly. I have it on 3 computers and they have some good programmers who will go deep into the computer to fix problems. They are available 24/7 and your Buddy will work tirelessly into the wee hours of the morning to find a solution to your problem. The only thing I want to warn about is to be sure you have time set aside when you want help. You need to be available to answer questions and to enter a password at restart.
The Internet Intrusion program began blocking my ability to print over my lan whenever I connected to a hotel WiFi, which is okay. Upon returning home, it would not re-enable. I worked on this for quite some time before I tried GeekBuddy. They looked around in my computer, and then I started hearing about how terrible my registry was and how my system files were corrupt. I use a deep-level un-installer, so I became suspicious. Sure enough, when I ran a registry cleaner, there were a couple of small things, but that was it. GeekBuddy was baiting and switching. Boo! Oh, and I fixed my own problem ultimately.
I called these guys looking for help unlocking a password. Two people told me they could help (Harrison, Randy) and then Jacob told me after I paid the $100 that they could not help. I know there are applications out there to help with this scenario but could not afford to try each on. I am going to fight their charge on AMEX and stop any future charges. I feel as though they were fraudulent and not worth the money.
Don, t have anything to do with this site. Had a guy phone me saying there was a problem with my computer, made me believe him, after giving me some random number from the computer, which i believed was some kind of security from microsoft. Needless to say, i got ript of £90. Would of been a lot more if i had more money in my account. As soon as i realised i was being scammed, i pulled the plug. Hey & guess what this guy did next, he had the cheek to phone me back four or five times & give me verbal $#*!, calling me bastard/wanker,& how i could do nothing to get my money back. If there, s really a GOD please let me run into this guy?
This a big cone all there after is your bank info they don't know a thing about computers i had to reload window its just a scam Plus another thing to watch out for is all most all downloads there linked on to them
My wife was having trouble with her previous anti-virus. I'd heard good things about Comodo, so I down-loaded it. In a trusting manner, I also down-loaded Geek Buddy. Next day she starts getting windows popping up saying she's got and virus,. "do you want to fix it?" She clicks. Now, she has a the option to talk or chat with a supporter; she chooses chat. He jumps-in and says "you have many problems and a virus. Your pc is also slow (not true)." He said the "free" Comodo and Geek Buddy down-load is only a trial and temporary. He says he'd fix it and she could have both options for a year for $99. No thanks. I removed Geekbuddy and will most likely get rid of Comodo. I had this happen before with another company. It seems to be the method of sales pitch these days. Beware! Scott C California
Geek buddy is fantastic... I will never run a computer without it. I am afraid of letting the secret out because it may effect the incredible service they offer but most important DELIVER.
WALTER SILVA... PEORIA, az
Don't try to cancel geekbuddy you'll get a guy who speaks an unknown language
And is no help. Forget about getting back any money spent on this sham. I got this program along with Comodo security and are both companies to avoid at all costs.
If you can find a security program along with a help program made and operated in this counrty you'll no doubr, have better luck...
Answer: Wow! These reviews are great help! Fuck geek buddy
Answer: Hi Tyrone, Matt here, not sure about their phone number. Try googling 'geek buddy customer support phone number', would be my option. From first hand experience, don't use these guys. Like all these people who have commented on geek buddy, I wouldn't recommend these guys. They will give you a lot off pop ups saying your pc isn't protected, etc. I tried these guys fittest hand. If you let them remote access your pc, they will give you either popups about your computer not being protected or give you a blue screen of death. So please do not ring these people, otherwise have your pc infected with their software or get a Blue screen.
Answer: No Diana, I wouldn't trust these guys at all. Have you seen all these reviews with geek buddy? My recommendation is to uninstall geek buddy but if you have Comodo security premium 10 on your computer it should be fine. Though the upgrade, I've had on my laptop, I've had an issue with diagnostic scanning every time my laptop starts up. So it will be your choice either to have geek buddy on your laptop or not. As for me, I wouldn't recommend geek buddy to anyone. They could give you viruses or a blue screen of death
