Cheap junk
June 2, 2020

Lready replacing the dishwasher because it doesn't work and needs a $350 repair. Stove door is rusting. Condenser drain on the freezer keeps freezing up and leaking water onto the floor. Need to thaw it out every 2 weeks to avoid the issue. Microwave makes a vibrating noise. I have had service out 5 times already for these pieces of junk. I will NEVER buy GE again.

I placed an order a month and a half ago for a simple dishwasher part. The online status says it has yet to ship. It has been 6 weeks and has been paid for but no action on their part whatsoever! I have called on multiple occasions and no one has ever answered the phone. Customer service is worse than bad, it actually doesn't exist. This place is a joke. I ordered the same part just now on ebay for $18, even though I paid $45 for it here. Ebay has my part coming to me in 3 days. I spent $45 at ge and literally received nothing. If you'd like to throw your money away, not receive your part, and speak to literally no one in customer service, GE appliances is for you!

If i were possible I would give them a -5 star rating!
We bought a GE washer in December of 2018. By March of 2020 is wasn't spinning the water out of the clothes and mold was growing inside between the two drums. After three visits from their repairman he called it quits and ordered us another. Six plus months later the other washer arrived (Oct. 2019). In March 2020 we could smell mold again. In April the machine stopped working in mid cycle. We tried all options - none worked. We had to wring out the laundry by hand! Called for repair; they came out took two weeks later. The repairman hooked up his laptop found an error code he'd never seen before, cleared it and was on his way saying it was all fixed. Tried to wash laundry just after he left, but had the exact same problem. Called immediately to be told it would be another two weeks before he could come out. We called him directly. He ordered a new circuit board stating the old one was bad. He was supposed to come out today (10 days after the last appointment) but learned that the company had ordered the wrong part. It will be another two weeks until the right one is in. So, we paid almost $600 for the washer, $199 for the extended warranty, and after 17 months we've had only a few where we could actually use the washer. We have four living in our house. We all work. We need clean clothes so we go to the laundry mat. It costs on an average of $25 each trip. It would be more except we bring the clothes home to dry them... with our fully functioning Kenmore dryer!
I don't know who is writing all the articles that say don't buy Whirlpool their product and customer service is rubbish. I had a whirlpool washer for 16 years and loved it. I'm so sorry I didn't fix it when it broke instead of replacing it with this expensive piece of junk.
Customer service at GE is atrocious! We have made more than a dozen calls and are put on hold on an average of 20 mins. With each Rep who only passes us off to another.
With all the government regulations practically strangling us all, how is it they let these appliance companies "legally" rob us all?

Horrible customer service process, purchased in January and have had 2 different service calls, and then the amount of TIME you have to spend on HOLD OR GETTING THE WRONG DEPARTMENT is insane! I have wasted well over 5 hours trying to speak with a human being., i wish i could give negative numbers for rating

I just purchased this washer new from Lowe's yesterday, and it sounds awful, so when I call there manager over that department he basically agree and recommend for me to just get a refund, so they probably have a lot of problems with this style, so beware when you purchase this it's not worth wasting your time and money.

Horrible service. Delivered a faulty gas stove that didn't work right from the box. Sent a service tech days later who couldn't fix it. Ignored my multiple calls and emails for almost two weeks. No way to prepare food for my sick kids, especially in this pandemic. When I finally did get someone, they lied and said they submitted the replacement and didn't. Also have to pay a plumber to disconnect the brand new faulty stove and pay to reconnect the new one, when and I we get one. I will be filing a formal complete in writing and demanding they pay all of these extra costs. Rediculous for a right out of the box $700 stove! Worse customer service EVER.

We purchased a full line of GE appliances as they were recommended to us from the dealership TA Appliances. The fridge was delivered and didn't work from the start. It took 2 weeks to get a service call as they would not accept returns, and then another 2 weeks for the replacement. We were happy that all was going well finally. Then needed a water filter for the fridge. Smartshop was on the US site, where you could purchase on a recurring basis a new water filter semi annually. Cost was around $48 every 6 months. Found out they will not ship to Canada. GE Canada doesn't have that program and outsource their parts. In Canada, you have to spend $80 every 6 months for a filter and have to look after the order yourself every 6 months. Very poor systems that Canada is not allowed to get the same deal on filters that the US can get. So much for GE Canada. I will never ever purchase from this money grubbing company again. They don't care about their customers. They just want to sell products that are cheap.

First I purchased a GE fridge, after not having it a year I had to have someone come it to replace the computer board, which later about another year, we came home to having to throw everything out due to the fridge not working after finding this coming home from vacation. I then purchases another but different brand.
Now I'm having issues with my GE washer that I purchased 1 1/2 ago. Now I have to pay $100 for someone to come out and look at it. If it's about $100+ I will again have to make another package and absolutely will be a different brand!

I have been a loyal GE Products customer for years and possess all my home appliances from GE. I bought GE Electric Convection Range (Model JCB630DJWW) with great excitement. Iam disappointed to report that my Electric Convection Range glass top got thermal crack with a very careful and limited use.Iam extremely disappointed of the worst ever GE customer service. I am losing my trust in the reliability of GE products.

I'm so mad right now. We got a brand new GE oven the end of February. Since I am a federal employee in Emergency Management I have been deployed for the past 6 weeks. I've probably used the oven 6 times since it's been installed. 3 times I've cooked something that potentially is going to drip int he bottom. My whole life when I do this I put an aluminum liner at the bottom of the oven. A piece of foil that just sits on top. Not tucked in to keep in heat! Just a liner laying there. The entire bottom of this oven is peeling. BRAND NEW oven! Used 6 TIMES! Someone came out to look at it. First they said that someone damaged it when they cleaned it. Now besides the peeling you can tell this is an oven that is new and has hardbly been used. Sparkling clean. We told him, we put an aluminum liner in the bottom if we are cooking something that can drip. OH, it is the aluminum that made this happen. The manual (the guiding light to all things that keeps anyone being responsible for anything... if it says it in the manual "there's nothing we can do about it"... or that they WILL do about it.) So the warranty is voided. I've used it once since all of this and continues to peel and peel some more. What kind of POS materials are used to make a brand new applicance that this is even possible... and there's nothing anyone will do about it!? I was told today by a supervisor that things are not made the same as they used to be. So what are you saying... your company makes cheap crap based on the premis that things are not made like they used to be. SHAME on these companies that charge MORE than ever and the quality is LESS than ever. And all they can say to you is, it says in the manual. They even know the page number it says it on. I'm guessing I'm not the first person with this issue... obviously. They had the script down. Shameful. AHHHHH... I'm so pissed. But they'll give a small discount if you want to buy a new one. WHY ON EARTH would I want a new one. For shame. They get one star for answering the phone. #GEappliances #goodthings

I have had to contact GE Appliances customer service many times and every time I do they have the worst service. They do not listen to you they just put you through to another customer service representative. I would not recommend this company to anyone which sucks because the appliances themselves are very nice but the customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with.

I noticed when I bought my new appliances my refrigerator had bubbles on the left side of the refrigerator, it wasn't solid. I bought the black slate appliance set from Home Depot. I called and demanded a different refrigerator. I was delivered 4 refrigerators with the same DEFECT on every one of them! Well, Home Depot couldn't take any more in their store so now I'm stuck with a DEFECT on my brand new refrigerator even though Home Depot had the only refrigerator without the defect, but it was all dinged up. I'm not happy all they did was refund me a lousy $150.00. I will NEVER order from GE again since they couldn't even send me one fridge without a defect! Poor quality.

On my 2nd GE refrigerator in 7 months. Worst quality and even worse customer service. Refused to fix my first refrigerator claiming all the issues reported we're normal even after a part was order for which the technician refused to put in only to have the sensors malfunction 6 months later having them agree only then to replace the unit. I went thru agony with that refrigerator for 6 months. The 2nd refrigerator is experiencing over cycling, unusually loud noises that are disruptive to the home additionally can't use the ice maker due to high buzzing noise level when it's left on. Technician said normal when he heard the problem for himself. Said he has to do what he's told to do. Appears to also get stuck in defrost cycle and food in freezer defrosts and freezes again. I have followed up to my case via email several times and even sent photos and no one has responded. I have asked over and over even the first time to have the refrigerator picked up and my money refunded. They do not care about their customers or the quality of their products. There is also belief that the constant loud buzzing has now caused me to have inner ear damage. I'm not disappointed, I'm enraged with the lack of professionalism and customer service received from GE. Not only can't I not use features that I preferred when selecting this model, I should NOT have to wait until after the one year manufacturer warranty is up to have a non GE employed technician who knows what they're actually doing repair the refrigerator at a much higher expense. GE should honor their 1 year manufacturer warranty and either fix the refrigerator or refund the customers money if they can't period!

I did a ge signature kitchen package.
My fridge had multiple repairs. I finally replaced it. My microwave burnt out so I rebought the same model so that it would be a direct replacement. Not into drilling new holes for installation. That one blew out too. They threw in a free appliance with the pkg so I took a washing machine. That had multiple repairs and I replaced it The only appliance that still works is the dishwasher. Which makes me suspect if they were really the mfg. My advice just stay away

GE down hill
April 1, 2020

My wife and I bought 5 kitchen GE Profile appliances almost 2 years ago. Very unhappy! Day one the frig was delivered the blue shipping plastic will not come off. The plastic was put on the door panels and then the handles were installed and the doors assy over the top of plastic. Plastic would not pull out from under the handles or out the areas were it was assembled together. Looks like crap! At 11 months the door on the ice dispenser stopped working so we called GE for repair of the door and the plastic. GE contracted a vendor for the repair and the tech was good but the company was horrible. Tech said he could not fix the plastic because it was "cosmetic" even thought it was a manufacturing problem. Broken wire on the door. Not sure how because there is no access to the door motor.
Within a couple months the LED display on the dishwasher stopped showing any text. It will light-up but there is no text. Several months ago the dishwasher started beeping 3 times about every minute with the door closed and the dishwasher not in use. When it is having this problem the dishwasher will not start. When the start button is pushed the dishwasher just beeps. Nothing in manual about 3 beeps and only says "a beep every minute" for the door open reminder. The door is closed and I have done every reset procedure in the manual. GE web no help and I did not see a way to email for help. GE is s...

DO NOT PURCHASE
March 26, 2020

I would give zero stars. We had a microwave; had nothing but issues. When we remodeled our kitchen, our contractor had GE. We purchased an appliance package. Issues with the micro, have replaced the dw, and the brown spots on the SS finishes. SS doesn't rust. It is horrible.

I have a washer from 2017 that has not worked correctly from day one. While under warranty I had a repairman in theee times even put in a new mother board. Still no resolution. By then it was at the end of the warranty and still not fixed. Once you are out of warranty customer service won't even speak to you. I will never buy another GE appliance. My washer runs ok for 5-10 loads then malfunctions and I have to leave it unplugged over night after plugging back in and resetting sometimes it starts working again and sometimes it doesn't. This process can go on for two days and usually I can finally manage to get it back running. Beware of GE

Purchased a new washer and dryer about $2200 called numerous times to try and figure out why my cloths were not clean. Without going into details of the months of bull crap with the crap customer service agents I am now told sorry we don't return for buyers remorse. I never asked for a refund, actually asked to spend more to upgrade.
These are less than 6 months old, great for getting cloths wet making a $#*! load of noise and not cleaning anything.
