I ordered a part to fix my stove and was told my part would ship the next day. It had been over three weeks and I have not received my part, nor have I received any communication other than the initial "order has been successfully placed" email.
I have been trying since April 4th to get my GE Profile dishwasher fixed. It is July 24th as i write this review. I have had two different technicians come out. It still does not work. After the 2nd technician came out i ran my dishwasher and@ 2AM realized something was wrong because it was still running. I came into the kitchen to find my entire kitchen floor flooded in boiling hot water, ruining my cabinet baseboards. I have since had two service calls canceled at the end of the time designated and today I have no technician showing up. Customer no-service is saying technician tried to call me; i have rec'd no call and have no message left. I have taken multiple days off work to sit at home waiting, and waiting. And all this is after two already came out. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL SERIVCE
My GE AC needs a service call and after speaking to a customer service rep she opened up a consumer case to have a tech come out to service, since its still under warranty. I've been extremely disappointed with the unit and also with GE. I am now on hold for close to 3 hours - called back twice and even at 8a in the morning I cannot get through. I will never buy another GE product, EVER.
Just moved into Newly built Condo less 2-1/2 years ago, Both expensive Front loader dryer & Microwave both BROKEN, WArranty only good for 1 year. Had to buy a new Micro & ordering a dryer door skirt for $200, broken area so cheaply made! I think they make their appliances now so they only last a few years so U have to buy a part or call their affiliates to fix it. My Friends non GE dryer & micro over 14 years old, still going strong. They don't make em like that anymore, For Sure GE Doesn't!
My GE dishwasher failed in <3 years of light-to-moderate duty. The service tech was competent & cordial but all we got for $100 service call was that the timer & solenoid had failed. We'd be looking at another ~$289 to repair. We started the process & after weeks waiting for parts availability & dealing with incompetent phone support I've canceled service & I'll buy a new non-GE dishwasher. The aggravation of dealing with GE's labyrinth of support is ridiculous (including their Customer Care Support which disconnected me because I didn't have a case # which apparently should have been given to me when I was told to call them!). Looking at some of the other reviews at least we can say they're CONSISTENTLY BAD!
GE appliances are totally fine, but customer service and service in general is absolute disaster!
3 months! Waiting for parts for my recently purchased cooktop is too much. Calling customer service every week and being assured that parts coming "this week" (1.5 hours average time being on hold).
Ended up buying parts on my own.

Bought this washer dryer set in September 2019. The washer has never worked the way it says. The only way I can fill the machine for larger loads is to use bulky setting then it never spins really well. As a result drying takes twice as long if you use any other cycle not enough water. I washed one single set of sheets and they came out 1/2 dry ( no water reached part of sheets). My electricity bill has gone up re using dryer so much. Repair man that came told me GE disabled the button you are to press to get extra fill when using the regular cycle that does spin the cloths well. V
Within 3 months of moving into my new home, my GE dishwasher began to not power up. GE tech showed up after a month and stated that the control panel needed replace and order it in front of me. Now a month later, GE tells me that they need to complete a 14 day part review to 'try to find the part'. If they fail after 14 days, they will have a case review over an unspecified period of time. If they then decide I need a replacement dishwasher, it will take 5-7 days to process. And, thereafter, I will need to wait for an installation date. I will never buy another GE product in my life. Not only is the customer service team incompetent, but they are rude. I would give them negative 5 stars if I could.
The customer service department is absolutely worthless and rude! I have a 3 month old water softener that abruptly stopped working. They will not help and send a service person out, instead they just transfer my call to one department after the other. This is possibly the worst company I've ever dealt with. I will never buy another GE product after experiencing this horrible service on a brand new appliance!
Kitchen is not 2 years old. Gorgeous and custom designed. Thank the lord that the dishwasher is a Bosch because every last one of the other appliances is GE and they all have problems. Some are minor such as the clock in the microwave already has a dead light at the bottom of the right most number. Not a major deal but super annoying in a new appliance. The others are not so minor. The wall oven does not cook evenly. The range has already had it's display board replaced and now the door does not stay fully closed. And the French-door refrigerator? Don't get me started on that. Its control panel beeps constantly. You cannot stay in the room with it. Technician says, "Can't be fixed. You'll have to buy a new refrigerator." What!?!?!? Well, it won't be a GE.
I wouldn't buy another GE product even if it was. Offered at 80% off! I decided after the 3rd loss of freezer items that I no longer can afford to keep buying their products. I lost about 700.00 this time! Please do your research on a good company before buying. I'm gonna support Whirlpool all the way!

I don't often feel compelled to write customer reviews but given our terrible experience with this washer I needed to share in hopes of preventing someone else from making the same mistake. My husband and I moved into our new build in May 2019 and began using our new washer and dryer. Since day one we have been unhappy with the washer constantly being off balance. There is a reason that washers for years (and still do) have an agitator. They help to keep the clothes balanced and get the clothes/sheets/blankets cleaner. Almost every time I do laundry it is off balance and makes so much noise and moves the washer, scraping our new tile and rubbing against the dryer. 9 out of 10 times I have to pause the load and rebalance it myself. When washing blankets it never spins out to a point where it can be put in the washer and there is not just a spin function. If you do select spin it continues to add water to that load with the spin which the exact thing we don't need is more water. We have an 8 month old baby and I can't do laundry on the weekends when he is napping because the noise the washer makes when it is off balance wakes him up. Our washer is on a flat surface and we do not overload it. I always take care when washing blankets and towels to make sure it is as balanced as possible. I will be reaching out to GE to find out if we are within a return window. Do yourself a favor and do not go with this model it will not serve you well. And life is hard enough, so don't spend money on a washer that requires constant attention during each cycle.
I bought brand you piece of $#*! from GE fridge less than 9 months old and been Leaking water since the sword months in service and they don't do anything. Watch out if you want to bays KEEP AWAY FROM THEM
6 weeks after purchasing a GE dishwasher, it stopped draining... it was too late to return it to the store i purchased it from... over the following 2 weeks i was on hold for over 2 and a half hours, told i would get a call back twice, told they couldn't find anyone on my srea to service it, told i would have to find someone, get it diagnosed, write them and tell them what parts i needed, wsit for the parts to be msiled to me, then make another appointment for repair, thdn submit a form for reimbursement... um... no! I finally returned it to lowes, without a refund and chalked it up as a 400.00 lesson on customer service and what not to buy in the future.
I am not sure this is even a real company. I ordered a new grate for a stove in a house I own on May 16,2020. About $80 it cost and they took the money from the account on May 17,2020. I wait and nothing arrives. In early June, I send an email asking for a status update on my order. Nothing. In mid June, I call and wait on on hold for 40 minutes and speak with a lady who tells me that it was on backorder, but it has just arrived yesterday and it will ship out my the upcoming Monday. Great. So, I wait. NOTHING. I send another email. Nothing. I use their online chat and they tell me it is still on backorder with no arrival date. So, I ask for a Refund. They discontinued the chat and disabled the feature online. This company appears to be a fake company of scam artist that take your money and run. Downright thieves. I would NEVER recommend this company because you WILL LOSE your money. I am still trying get a refund, but so far no success. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY.
Take my advice, don't ever buy any GE Appliances or GE ralated products. They will not replace or refund you whatsoever. They will only service the appliance until the warranty is out. After that, you are on your own. Save yourself the stress and Samsung or LGs. Service is horrible and products are worst.
Purchased GE JB256DMWW electric stove for my condo in Myrtle Beach on 3/2/20. We did not use the oven and went home (13 hours away) the next day. Then COVID happened and the lockdown, and we weren't able to return to the condo until the end of May, so we didn't know there was an issue with the stove. However, when we turned the oven on for the first time, it had a bad connection and broke requiring warranty service. It took 10 days to get a GE warranty repair person there, and then they were unable to fix it due to parts being backordered (issues with China apparently). We are still without a stove and the GE call center customer service rep was absolutely awful and incredibly rude, saying GE would not replace it unless their repair person absolutely couldn't fix it, so we would have to wait indefinitely with no stove until the parts come in. This is absolutely unacceptable-we are talking months here without a stove. I have a 2 other GE stoves, one over 40 years old and going strong, and had always purchased GE. But I will never buy another GE appliance after the horrible experience with this stove and the terrible customer service. They have lost a customer for life and I will tell everyone I can what horrible service they provide if heaven forbid anything go wrong with their appliances.
A technician was supposed to show up today 7/1/2020 but no one showed up. The compressor is just sitting here awaiting to be installed. The refrigerator is not even a year old. Just damn
Beware! Go elsewhere. 2 attempts and $2500 later and my washer and dryer still have not been installed. Delivery guy called once, my phone rang once, I know because I was holding it when the call came in, and they left no voicemail. I called back multiple times within 5 minutes and was sent to voicemail after 1 or 2 rings. Clearly they were clicking me. I called GE Appliances and waited on hold for 20 minutes with their HORRIBLE hold music playing (sounds like roller coaster tyson music with people screaming on the rides... I'm not kidding) to get an update on the status of the order. Finally, a representative answered, checked the system, and told me they attempted to deliver it and were unsuccessful. Funny, because when they called I was standing in the lobby of my building with a notary signing paperwork for something unrelated. No delivery people were there. The "best she can do" was a next delivery 7 days from now. Ridiculous! I asked to speak with a supervisor. The rep places me on another hold, this time for 40 minutes with that HORRIBLE HOLD MUSIC! Only to come back and tell me she couldn't get hold of a supervisor and "the best she can do" is reschedule the delivery... I am now a month without a washer and dryer because of their incompetence and utter lack of respect for their customers. I missed 2 days of work and they expect me to potentially miss a 3rd? No thanks! I asked the rep to please cancel the order and refund both of the amounts (they still have yet to refund the 1st attempt which was over 5 days ago when they said they would because they couldn't install the first unit because of the "vent") and the woman stated she was unable to cancel or refund the orders. No problem. I called American Express and had the charges reversed in a matter of minutes. Thank you American Express. Never want to deal with this company ever again. Their employees should feel ashamed to work for such a bad company.
Bought a top of their line double oven in November 2019. In the first 6 months failed three times (completely died). They replaced internal parts although they tried to blame poor installation even though THEIR technician re-did the installation the second time. GE refuses to get this junk out of my house and replace it of refund the price.
Since they sold out to a Chinese firm, the quality of their products has sunk to oblivion! Will NEVER buy another GE product.

Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
