Company is a JOKE. Microwave broke within 6 months. They sent in their repair crew and couple months later same problem reoccurs. It's a fired hazard and they refuse to replace it or repair it properly…Second technician came out to look at and said that first repair was DONE Improperly…Company does NOT want to responsibility for there BAD appliances…I work in construction WILL NOT recommend GE appliances to my customers EVER …..
This is such cheap plastic, that it arrived all full of scratches! Then they sent a replacement door, and that was already full of scratches! Even their repairman said this is unacceptable! They called it. Cosmetic!...and therefore,,, will do nothing to help the situation! Terrible Customer Service!
Do not buy from GE, cheap quality
It's the day before Thanksgiving and I decided to clean my double oven for 3 to 5 hours, I know it is intense heat and it cracked the corner of my door, now Ge says the cost is mine to repair, I should be able to clean this oven whenever it's needs it without worrying about this, And I should not have to have a warranty to have this repaired. I am disappointed with GE and expected more from them. GE should support their customer base better then this. I will not purchase GE products anymore, buyer beware!
I bought a GE refrigerator a few days ago and it was delivered with a ding in the freezer door. So far I was bounced around to 5 different "customer service" numbers and STILL have no resolution on how to get the door replaced! Never again!
Our new microwave was purchased from "Wickford Appliance" in Pawtucket RI from manager Jeffrey Cardente and Michelle onsite. They were both very knowledgeable salespeople with great personality's and friendliness which made for a very pleasant visit. The Install was then set up and was to be installed on October 20,2022, the store and service tech who was coming to our home then kept in touch by texts and phone until arrival at our door. The Install went smoothly and took a quick 15 minutes from start to finish. Unfortunately, I was only able to get the techs first name Steve. He also was a very fast working, courteous, quick witted man with a personality in which was much appreciated. We would definitely use both your store and Install tech again anytime in the future. Oh, and we do love our new microwave.
We do hope these 3 employees receive full recognition and appreciation.
Thank you from 2 very happy customers,
Beth & Dean S.
Bought all new GE appliances due to house fire. Purchased in August anticipating move in late september. Didn't get in till late October. Tried new dishwasher, turned on filled up, and it turned off. To late for return now. Checked for service, only Monday thru Friday 8-5 A day off work for service call, day off for repair=price of new dishwasher. No more GE appliances. Buying ANOTHER NON GE dishwasher. Anybody interested in a NEW non working dishwasher?
We bought a new GE refrigerator in September 2017. After less than 1 year the freezer began to show frost and a repairman came and made a few adjustments. Approximately 3 years the ice maker had to be replaced. 2 years later the freezer began to show frost again and a repairman was called. This time we were informed that the cooling system was leaking coolant when in defrost mode and the repairs would be expensive. We chose to have it replaced. We chose to replace it with another brand due to the quality of the GE appliance. We will look at other brands if another appliance needs replacing. Not happy with GE.
After two years of noral use the GE Portable Dryer Model DSKS433E, Serial #ZM*******C died. Not totally but it apprears that the bearings did. I did the best thing was to trash it. Why becuse I got tired of the black greese spots that my cloths would get when they got caught between the dryer and the drum.
All appliances gets repair after 1 year. GE just want to milk customers and provides worst service and worst quality. Never waste your time and money for GE.
Simply the worst company on planet earth. In order to purchase some refrigerator parts, I had to talk to four people this morning. They transferred me around and around and around. Every time a new person picked up the phone, I was told a different story. The service I received was worse than terrible. And, their parts are extremely EXPENSIVE!
No wonder the Asian companies are taking over the world!
GE has a known compressor issue with refrigerators. This is my second broken compressor in 9 months- GE and subcontractors don't work together to resolve issues and give you the run around when you call them out on things they said/confirmed for repairs and will leave you without a working refrigerator without a care in the world. If you can't fix issues with GE customer service they push you to consumer relations where you will be on hold for 2 hours+ if you even get through and they don't resolve anything other than tell you to contact their subcontractor for answers. Unbelievable that both claim they can't find parts ordered and blame the other. I've been on the phone for 4 hours today and still haven't talked to anyone in consumer relations to schedule my covered repair.
I bought a dishwasher, and it stopped working under a year! I called a service repair, Nice man. That was two months ago, the motor that spins the arms stopped working. And the face fell off. It is still under factory warranty.
My GE refrigerator is less than 3 years old and so far has had the following issues:
—both the freezer handle and the handle to the main compartment broke in half on opening the doors— just from regular pulling on them. I am a 5' 5" woman with moderate strength. This was shocking to me.
—the rubber around the doors seems not to be making a tight connection, as bugs are getting in around the edges.
And now, the cooling function of both the freezer and main compartment are below standard, which I assume means the whole appliance is on a downward slide and will have to be replaced soon.
This is really unacceptable for an $800 + appliance.
I will never buy another GE appliance and am recommending to family and friend that they don't either.
GE—what has happened to you quality control?
Refrigerator seems nice, worked fine for 6 days and then crapped out. The fan stopped working so the fridge does not cool... So we had to throw out all the food. The worst part is getting service. The service center computer tree is really, really bad. You just cannot get to a person and it continues to force you to their website. So after you go round and round, you might get to someone or it just hangs up on you. I was referred to a 3rd party repair person and of course they were overbooked and never said a thing so on appointment day, a no show. Isn't that great while your food is rotting? Then another company comes out a few days later and they don't carry a simple fan that you can buy on amazon and with prime get in a day. We have to wait a week for it? I cannot believe a company as large as GE is so, so bad at service. They show a 1 of 5 stars? Is anyone in a leadership position at GE listening? Seeing this? Its mind boggling.
Bought a ge washer gfw850. Cost about $1100. Got 18 months before it died. Called ge they sent repair tech out. He said the main board or inverter was bad or both. $900 to repair. Ge only covers the motor for 10 years. 1 year on the rest. Electronics are crap. Never buy ge again.
Terrible services and customer relationship management. They reschedule appts without notifying you. The technicians are unable to diagnose issues even after multiple visits.
GE is Now HAIER. The Quality is not what it used to be. Our fridge broke after 5 months and needs a whole new compressor. GE never sends their own people and relies on a 3rd party network of technicians. Although the customer service people are nice and professional, nice doesnt fix a broken fridge. Original Technician said they wouldnt fix it and that we need GE Factory service to come out. GE Sends A&E for that as well as ships 7 boxes to our door. They didn't send the right part so when the A&E tech gets here, after waiting 12 days for him, He is unable to fix it without that part. GE places the order but doesnt tell us its on backorder until I call the next day. They expect us to wait until end of November to have our fridge working and the ability to store food safely. For our troubles they give us $100 for food, which covers nothing and $150 for a mini fridge, which also doesnt cover anything... They refuse to also release the Return Authorization # so we can just get our money back and go with a different company. STAY FAR AWAY!
I ordered refrigerator from GE appliances. On the day of delivery, no one contacted me, so I contacted customer service. I was told the item was no longer available and I'd have to pick something else out. No call. No customer service. Replacement item is several hundreds of dollars. Go somewhere else.
At first, we loved the oven, but now less than 3 years in, the oven emits a strong gas smell when on and one of the burners does not work. It's no longer covered under warranty, and with such a safety hazard such as gas, we will not be investing in GE ranges in the future.
Answer: SCAM! $800 EXPEND IN LESS THEM 4 YEARS AFTER MOVE IN A NEW HOME WITH GE APPLIANCES-GARB COMPACTER, ICE MAKER AND NOW, THE WATER FILTER HEAD... PURE SCAM... PRODUCTS ARE MADE TO BREAK!
Answer: Yes. I have repeatedly experienced this problem for the past 5 years on my 5 year old GE Refrigerator. Using your fist or a mallet, strongly tap on the fan's surround to break ice free. It will quiet down. However, a quality appliance would not require this type of user intervention. If it makes you feel better, I built a new house with all new GE appliances ( because we liked the slate color) and every single one has issues and has been a profound disappointment. NEVER NEVER NEVER buy GE. We learned the hard way.
Answer: I sure would entertain joining such an endeavor! They deserve to get a kick in the ass if you ask me.
