I made 3 purchases with my GasBuddy card - there was an alert on my cell phone app - save. 14 per gallon. I clicked the alert - used my GAS BUDDY card - pumped the gas - the app wanted me to take a photo of the receipt - but the Gas buddy app would not let me take the photo. I saved only. 02 per gallon. I could have used my CITI cash back card and saved. 06 a gallon. Gas Buddy is hard to use and a waste of time - spent over 100.00 saved about. 20 total - what a waste - I am through with GAS BUDDY. It does not work as their APP and adds say it will work!

I wish I had read these reviews before I signed up. I bought gas the very first time and a pop up came up to save additional with the gas stations additional rewards program. I started the process but then cancelled out of it when I saw that it involved the premium membership subscription for 9.99/mo and just bought the gas. Guess what... they enrolled me anyway and charged me. They insisted that I must have enrolled in it and refused to reimburse me. I argued with them and it took them days to respond. Finally, I disputed the charge with the bank and put a stop payment against them. Now they're refusing to close the account unless I cancel the dispute and said they're sending me to collections for a whopping 9.99. It cost me $30 bucks for the stop payment and if they are serious, another 9.99 plus a collection agency charge for a whopping $1.72 savings at the pump. Complete scam... don't do it!

The gasbuddy app is very clumsy and not intuitive at all for one thing the search function is cleared every time you enter it so if you make a mistake and enter the wrong town and City you can't edit the field and replace the data with the correct data you have to start from the very beginning and with so many States having the same town name you could inadvertently select the wrong State and have to enter the state and city again all over it's lousy. And if you're on the road and trying to save time and having this silly little obstacle makes absolutely no sense. Also the fine gas option is sometimes obscure because the drives thing stands in your way okay you don't want to do the drive thing that's your business but don't put that obstacle in the way of finding gas

After reading all the bad reviews and stories about unauthorized charges and other issues, I decided against getting the GasBuddy card. It had already been sent but I have not activated it. I have contacted GasBuddy via email numerous times and each time I get a canned reply that is unrelated to my query. They will not respond to my request to cancel my card and remove my checking account information from their system. Tells me all I need to know about this company! I'll continue to use the app to locate gas stations and prices but the card accessing my checking scares me!

I drive 40 ft Diesel Pusher RV so I'll drop two to three hundred at a fill-up. Good prices on diesel for one are much harder to come by with GasBuddy because it's a bunch of gas driving dummies. But much worse than that I found many false reports of cheap prices and then I would drive there and find it was 10:20 30 cents higher as if somebody wanted to drive business to that station huh I wonder who that somebody could be it started out as a good app and was pretty much legit then when they got slightly popular the begun to take away good functions and replace them with stupid stupid ones it's a piece of $#*! it had so much potential I was hoping someone else would come up with a good app I just did a big road trip and I think I found one there are other apps way way better than GasBuddy

Yesterday my card was declined. I tried to call customer service but got nothing but "press 1 for this, press 2 for that' and never was able to talk to anyone. I sent them an email through their app and have not received a response. My father had the same problem and he got something saying he was over his daily limit. There is a $75 daily limit, but neither my father or I was anywhere near that amount. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wish I could find a better option!

When trying to use their gas tool, specifically gas price map, it is plagued with hiccups. Sometimes it works, but mostly it either won't allow me to view the station details, or it goes into "oops, there was a problem" mode.
Many times the price is not accurate. Gas buddy is a 1.5 star site at best.

I wanted to link my card. What I got was a $9.99 charge that was unauthorized and no phone number to fix the problem. This is the biggest scam ever. The app that shows you prices is one thing, but to steal you money so blatantly and have no contact numbers to call, and get no response from emails is nothing but a dirty scam from what I now know to be a disreputable bunch of shucksters. Do not sign up for anything with Gas Buddy. They are not a company, they are crooks.

GB advertises fuel prices on the app but returns LESS than the advertised costs. In my situation GB advertised a 5 cent/gallon savings but returned 2 cents per gallon. I have a credit card than returns 4% on my fuel purchases.

Scanned prices through gasbuddy app. And went to gas station that gasbuddy said I would save 4 cents a gallon. (Snappys on the attached photos) Scanned my card, pumped the gas then received the message from gasbuddy saying I saved 2 cents a gallon. I have been waiting for their so called customer service to address this issue for weeks now. I can save 3 cents a gallon EVERY TIME I use my Speedy card plus I get points to use on purchases so why waste my time with this poser app.? I seriously doubt there're savings out as promised by gasbuddy and I am deleting my account after this review and going to use a cash back credit card that delivers what they say. That's better savings than this ripoff company. Gasbuddy has BBB complaints and deserves them.

Setting up the actual card they mail you is next to impossible. I followed the instructions but there is nowhere to activate the card and create a PIN. Usually you'd call a phone number to activate but they want you to do it on the GasBuddy App. Also, when trying to verify the amounts of money that they put into your checking account it repeatedly shows errors and will not allow me to do so. Hope my Checking account is safe after I put in in the app. Taking my bank information they have down 100% go figure. Nobody answers the phone when pressing any option for help.
Lastly, the reported gas prices are correct about 50% of the time.

Signed up back in 2011. Everything was fine until some guy mobilsparky signed up and posted wrong gas prices. Contacted them reported the guy and my account was then limited in what I could do. In other words I got into trouble for reporting the guy. Til this day nothing was ever done to this guy! He still reporting wrong gas prices. This app is useless. Support is none existing!

I ordered the gas buddy card received it activated it and it worked twice. When I went to open the app subsequently none of my information was in my profile and I was being asked to sign up for gas buddy again As if I was a new customer Even after I login with my information. Tried calling customer service to no avail no one answer the phone it's robots. So now this establishment has all of my personal information and I have no benefit for giving it to them. There are too many bad reviews and people saying the same thing that this is not an accident. I will report them to the BBB'
