Complete SCAM. Since the apps inception Ive long been a follower using their service to find the cheapest diesel in my area. Well I learn the hard way pay with gas buddy is a scam, stay away do not fall victim! Pay with gas buddy withdrew $160 of fraudulent charges on my account. Ive attempted for two days to reach them via telephone, in app and email and they have yet to respond to any of my attempts to reach them. There is no one who answers the telephone, you only get directed to a voicemail which is useless because no matter how many messages you leave no one calls you back. Ive tried to reach them to unlink my bank account but again no one answers the telephone so you cant unlink your bank account either.

This is ridiculous!

Customer service is non-existent. The wallet feature does not work correctly, Trouble activating the card and cannot get any customer service. Can't reach anyone by phone return emails at first were useless and after 3 useless responses no more emails for over a week now and no return phone call despite multiple requests for them to please call. So if you want someone to have access to your bank account with no way to reach them and when they don't respond to any requests for help go ahead and take the risk.

I have been trying to sign up for gas buddy for three months. The first card would not work with the pin and my personal information was incorrect. The second card never got verified and I could never get in touch with anyone to help me. Many phone calls and left messages with my return number but got nothing from gas buddy. I am through wasting my time with this ridiculous "service". I will stick with the grocery stores discount gas!

Arco, Costco (listed as a discounted retailer that doesnt accept the card), Mobil, Shell... have not found a single gas station so far that will accept the gas buddy card. Disappointing. I live in Southern CA, gas is high, was really excited to be able to save a few bucks, but not so far. Costco is always the cheapest, so probably wont be able to save enough to make a difference even if I locate one of those 95% of stations that accept it, wherever they are.

I received the Gas Buddy card, but have been unable to activate it. Customer service is non-existent! I got through once, but was unhelpful. They don't answer emails for support except for answers found on their website. NO longer answer the phone, no matter what options you choose, you are always told that there are no representative available to assist you. You are told to leave you name, phone number, email, etc. and they will get back to you as soon as possible. They NEVER DO!

I have used my card 5x now and have had no issues. It took about 6 weeks for the whole process to set up. They make deposits then it takes about a month to get the card. Once the card is activated they will take those deposits back out. The only thing I dont like is it takes 3-5 business days for the payment to process through your bank account. Just have to keep good track of your spending to avoid overdraft. Ill keep using it. Total savings so far is $6.50.
