I have complain to GasBuddy four times they do not resolve any issues they do not give you the big discounts at they say they do stay away from them total rip-off

Gas Buddy card is a credit card so more times than not your discount will be on the CREDIT price the station has set which in my area is. 10 cents more than the cash price which is what the gas buddy app shows. Not knocking g Gas Buddy... it's in ther FAQs and T&Cs. Your "savings" is at the mercy of the station you use and their prices. Gas Buddy needs to give the option to list the Credit prices as well not what random updaters post as they drive by which is ALWAYS the Cash/Debit price.

The website no longer works properly on my Samsung Galaxy J7 beginning in 2020. The app hasn't worked since several years ago! Both the wesite and app are totally useless, I can no longer get gas prices on either one.

Won't send card
February 11, 2020

I have been trying for 6 months, dozens of emails, calls won't go thru, just to get my card. Still have not received it. Keep getting auto-replies. Got a human response 1 time and they asked for my old address from 3 years ago. I refused. I have already earned over $30 that I guess I'll just let them keep it at this point.

The unnecessary fees are thru the roof, your savings are limited to less than the fees you pay and it continuously has reoccurring or multiple withdrawals. I haven't gotten near as much actual fuel as I have paid in fees alone.

I have been hung up on, put on hold and not answered at all when I tried to call this company. They offered me a 25 cents discount per gallon at the gas station that I clicked on the app. To receive this discount I had to go to the station within the next 4 hours, which I did and when I went there, I was only given the miserly 5 cents off. When I tried to call numerous times the message says they are shorthanded because of the holidays, which were a month ago! ITS A SCAM! Don't bother using this app!

On Black Friday 2019 Gasbuddy sent alert to my cellphone offering $10.00 credit for first time I used GASBUDDY PAY CARD. If I signed up for Pay with GasBuddy service. I gave them checking account and routing #'s to initiate process and got the card in the mail on 12/06/19. ON Sunday 12/07/19 Cyber Monday - Dec 8 - I got alert for $5.00 credit if I used card by Dec 9th, 2019. On Dec 9th, 2019 not only did I use it, but I filled Tank. The full amount of fill-up has been taken from checking account with no $10 or $5 credits applied. I emailed Gasbuddy a few different times asking for the credits. They have auto reply saying someone will get back to me but they never do. And then they send one of those emails saying that because they had not heard from me the ticket was solved. I submitted Complaint # ******* to Better Business Bureau and Gasbuddy did not respond to BBB, as they are bot BBB members. This tells me Gasbuddy is cheating us out of all the money they can before they disappear. Better to use a credit card that pays points. There are plenty of apps to see gas prices as you travel.

The worst

For almost a year I tried to tell them a gas station had diesel but it never changed
More ads than a election campaign
NEVER responds to any inquiry. Never responds to any complaint
In one week I never found any price correct
Just terrible and it freezes up at least once per day

Worthless

I signed up for Pay with Gasbuddy at the end of October 2019. I received the email that the card was sent out on 11/2/19. Mind you, I signed up for Amazon's Audible because you got perks with GasBuddy. So I've been paying $14.95 a month for Audible and haven't gotten a single perk for it with GasBuddy. As of 11/21/19, there was no card. So I contacted customer support. Teagan, eventually got back to me and sent a replacement card. On 12/10/19, I reached out to customer service, as I had not received the GasBuddy card, and Teagan responded with a generic response, regarding processing times. On 1/15/19, after weeks of reaching out to no avail, I sent a nasty email and was finally contacted by Caillin, the supposed manager. They wanted to send my GasBuddy card to a different mailing address because somehow my card was not showing up to my home address. Mind you, I ordered unreleased Beatles CDs from Japan after I had requested the second card. The CDs from Japan arrived earlier this month. I still have not received the card and was given no other recourse beyond sending the GasBuddy card, which is linked to my checking account, to an unverified address. In the end, I requested that my account be deleted. The customer service is worse than Frontier, and that is putting it lightly.

I'm Baffled

I don't understand all these negative reviews. I've had nothing but success with GasBuddy. Sometimes the prices are off, but they haven't been reported for hours. Also, I top off every time I gas up so I save $0.60 every fill up. It may not seem like much, but it adds up.

Worst customer service

The savings is not worth the agony. Customer service stinks. Ticketing system is totally useless and when you get fed up and call to a live agent all you get is double talk and no help. I canceled my membership to this place. NEVER AGAIN.

Did they purposely want the Gasbuddy web site to SUCK? They did it. I've used gas buddy for years (posted gas prices in my city for years) but haven't used it in a year or so. I'm planning a long trip and WTH?!? This site is so ridiculous to use compared to how it used to be it's just beyond comprehension. Looks like they bought out all the competition and that is that. Forget it, just use Google Maps and click on icons of gas stations along your route. Most have current prices and tell Gasbuddy later days.

And their gas discount? ROFLOL... would you give these guys your numbers to your bank account? Seriously? Anyway I could give it ZERO stars?

This app is almost never accurate. It tells you one price and when you get to that location the price is actually higher. You can attempt to correct in the app. Then it goes back to what was previously entered. What kind of crap is that!

Many of the gas stations in my area are reported incorrectly. When I try to access one particular town, it shows me stations 60 miles away. I have sent the information to gasbuddy on several occasions and have been told that someone will get back to me, but it never happens. It does, nt even seem like they read complaints.

Update to can't change bank account

After a month of trying to get them to do something, they sent me an email saying they changed my bank account for me and now it works the way it should. It took a month but they finally did fix my problem.

I closed the bank account I was using so I try adding the account I had before this one. It keeps saying "oops, something went wrong, try again later or contact support". I got one reply back from support which was a standard reply, worthless. They haven't replied to me since so I can't use the card at all I consider their support as being worthless. This has been going on for over a month.

We've contacted support via phone and email 13 times now, and have left 6 emails and voicemails. The phone system never goes to a live person, and forces you to leave a message. The email system only gets generic responses that don't have to do at all with the issue we are experiencing.

We just want to reach a real person. That's it. Get your act together please!

I love GasBuddy...

I just read about 20 negative reviews, all of which haven't been my experience GasBuddy! I don't know if I've just gotten lucky or if everyone else is doing something wrong/not being patient etc. Their customer service efficiently helped me when I needed them to. I received the $10 Audible credit and $10 free gas. I've never noticed gas prices being as "off" as some of these reviews are reporting. Sometimes someone will accidentally report a price as diesel when it was clearly a premium price or something. I've been using GasBuddy for about 6 months now, and I won't claim I'm saving a MASSIVE amount of money but extracting a $2-$3 average credit from each time I fill up in gas to put towards something I would have bought anyway via the "shop your way" app is worth it to me, or rather "why not". I haven't had any of the issues these last 20+ negative reviews have reported

MICRO DEPOSITS INCORRECT
September 17, 2019

I entered my back account information to activate my Gasbuddy Card. Two days later the MICRO DEPOSITS appeared in my checking account. When I entered them into the app to verify them it told me the amounts were incorrect. I called right at 9am EST and was on hold two hours, then disconnected. I repeated this for 5 business days. Same 2 hour hold, then a disconnection. I sent an electronic request thru the app after the second day and it ha been 5 weeks. This company s a joke.
