Garnet Hill used to have the best organic cotton pajamas, they are quite expensive but they were worth it, now they have changed their fabric, pattern, style, and materials to much cheaper quality. Too bad, they used to be good but I will never order from them again. If you do try to return something, they make it very difficult.
I recently placed an order online with Garnet Hill. While they processed my payment immediately, it's been almost a week since the order was processed and nothing has shipped yet the order states the product is "in stock and reserved". When I call their 800# for customer service it goes to an outside agency and they cannot view or track any orders. They are just taking messages. Very frustrating!
I have placed an order, which appears to be sitting RESERVED AND READY FOR SHIPPING somewhere? I tried calling customer service, was on hold 40 minutes, only to be told by the Representative, All He Could Do Was To Place Orders! I have been reaching out through Customer Service by Email, no one responds other then with, "We Received Your Email"
They had no problem taking the order, but who knows what happens after that? DONT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE MISERY, NOT WORTH IT.
I was excited to see "25% off all regular priced items" in large print on Garnet Hill website so I picked out several things for Spring. I tried to place an order BUT it wouldn't take the discount. I called them to find out that 4 items I picked were Eileen Fisher and in the small details theres an endless list of excluded items including Eileen Fisher. BUYER BEWARE! Garnet Hill excludes MANY items from a sale. Shop elsewhere. Disappointing.
I see other reviews mention the same thing. Shop Nordstrom or Bloomies for a better discount on EF.
Endless junk mail! Once a week they send a full catalogue! I had to spend hours figuring out how to cancel. I had to call, send email... I finally got a confirmation from them and they said it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the catalogues to stop. It's been 4 months and I still get them. Now I am "mysteriously" on an extra junk mail list for Sundance. They ALWAYS go straight to recycling. I will never order from them again. Super annoying.
Very rude staff. I spoke with them on the phone about honoring a discount they ran soon after I bought an item. They all but accused me of lying when I called back with the exact dates I pulled from my email. The service rep also scolded me for calling twice... yikes!
If I could give this company less than one star, I would. Rude, unhelpful customer service. Sale prices misleading. 15% off for new customers--but only for one item, not the whole order. Website confusing. Very high shipping costs. The next catalog goes directly into the trash.
I just received my purchase after a long wait. I need to exchange this for another size. What a headache and the worst GH international customer service ever. I thought the role of customer service was to actually care about the customer. I found the customer service person I dealt with was very rude and I was an inconvenience. Very disappointing as their shipping to Canada in the past was great. Ever since they have Border Free involved it's a mess. I will never order from them again.
Placed an order for a dress in xtra small. After I placed the order I checked on this and I am told it is an xtra large. No place online to cancel order. Customer service DONE@ 5PM Eastern time so had to call in morning. Get up 6:30 am to call & I am told oh but the order is in process! So what! Your stupid site f'd up yet another order so cancel it already. Have to wait now for an email from them because and get this, they have to "email" the warehouse. What a mess. NO customer service, no one trying to help me get the right size etc... Never again. This is the second time I have gone through this.
When I phoned to place an order, their call center was so loud, I could hardly hear the person talking to me. Okay, it gets much worse. I ordered Eileen Fisher linen pillowcases in coral (on sale). I have pjs from Eileen Fisher and they are good and made in Ukraine. Imagine my surprise when the cases came from China, and the color became uneven after one wash. Kept them anyway, but wrote a review. They would not publish because I mentioned the sale. Tried again and mentioned China again plus the fading, and that review did not meet their standards. Don't even try to give them less than a positive review on their website because they will block you. I'm done with them -- unsubscribed and cancel the catalog. They used to be good.
It's always a big disappointment when a good business goes bad, and this is the problem with Garnet Hill. They once had super products and great service. Now, they have mediocre to poor products and terrible, awful service. And, if you actually want to send a gift to someone, and you pay for "overnight delivery", the folks at Garnet Hill think overnight means 5-6 business days. And, if they owe you a refund, they drag it out for another 5-6 business days. Unbelievable. I am done with Garnet Hill.
