Ordered early April, 3-5 days delivery, maybe 10-15 days in busy times. Contacted them to enquire, had standard response, then a really sorry we are working on your order, then I looked at their reviews... then I rang the bank as 30 days since ordering. They said can't cancel, processing, blah blah blah. No way was I accepting this nonsense so I looked on their social media, wish I hadn't as it was all negative from customers (although they weren't customers with real plants as they hadn't got their plants because there was a delay. Cut a long story short as I am as bored of this as everyone else. They said my order had been cancelled, but I still had to chase them up. No customer service.
Do not bother. The 10 hosta "plants " I received were roots in a plastic bag. Only 4 survived. I waited patiently for over 4 weeks and actually thought the plants had been stolen from the box! No labelling to tell me which hosta was which. 6 roots were mouldy and dead
Ordered 4 plants on 30 April. Received them late on 3June! Two of them looked green and as I would expect and the other two looked dead. Went on Thier site to contact them and could not find any details. No Tel numbers. Email address. Web site says it's possible to email the founders office but they don't actually advertise an email address? Thier site says they have a chat page but it's again not shown easily anywhere. It's like they don't want you to contact them when something goes wrong? Went on a few sites and noticed a number of v bad ratings for plants received in poor cond or damaged etc. People have even reported they guys to trading STDs! My advise is to shop elswere or gotoa garden centre. They even advertise plants they haven't got in stock which is most of the ones on Thier site?
Absolutely awful company. Ordered plants mid April and still haven't arrived. Have tried several times to make contact via their ticket enquiry system and each time receive a computer generated response that doesn't answer any of the issues I have raised via their ticket system. Emails sent direct to their customer services email address, rather than via the ticket system, are ignored. Requests for a phone call are ignored. Have explained countless times that I will be unable to take delivery of goods if they don't arrive by a certain date, and the reason why. Asked to cancel order in the absence of a guarantee that they would arrive by that date and got a pro forma reply saying that I could cancel an order within 24 hours of making it (when my emails have clearly said that the items were ordered six weeks ago). Understand that companies are working in difficult situations but every other company I have used during Covid has fulfilled its commitment to its customers and kept them informed of delays and offered refunds etc. when not able to meet deadlines. Gardening Express just ignore people. Awful.
I have spent over £100 on plants in early April and so far I have received one half dead plant without a delivery note or return policy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Unfortunately it is not possible to give this company less than one star. My order from 11. 4. 20 actually arrived today (two hydrangeas). One plant was just about acceptable but the other was an insult - two weak stems and a third one that had been broken off at some time. Neither plant looks well cared for or particularly healthy and to be honest I have seen better specimens cheaper in Aldi. Given the appalling customer service I can't face trying to return the worst plant and then waiting for a probably non-existent refund. Do not even think about buying anything from these people!
I ordered 8 plants from Gardening Express. After 4+ weeks nothing' had arrived. They are very difficult to get hold of, the only form of contact they currently offer is by post! No phone number, no email address, no contact form! Who doesn't have a contact form on their website these days... unless they really don't want to be contacacted - which begs the question - why? I wrote to them and requested a refund but no reply or refund. Finally, after 7 weeks, my plants finally arrived. Of the 8 plants I ordered, 6 were dead!
I have ordered £400 worth of plants and they all died within weeks or months. All of them. Avoid this company at any cost, their plants are forced to grow quicker and will not resist long. Customer service is terrible and you will not get your money back. Disgusting.
Six weeks and still waiting. I just want a refund but they won't communicate. Order *******. Avoid and just go to your local garden centre, I only used this company due to the lockdown.
No products received and no information about my order. I just get "do not worry" and my order will arrive "soon". I am not sure if they mean "soon" in the context of the history of time in which case I may wait a few million years...

Ordered 10 April and as the delivery wasn't made after 15 working days I demanded refund. This nonsense support system doesn't work and had been ignored constantly. Then after nearly 2 months gone by( 26 May), bear in mind all the garden centres are open, I received almost dead weed-looking plants delivered. Absolutely disgusting and I laughed with a complete disbelief actually. I requested so many times refund then they rejected my requests and sent me squashed awful packaged dead plants! This company is taking advantage of lockdown and awkwardness of sending items back. I have seen numerous reviews waiting for refund too.
Don't trust Trustpilot reviews as the company can filter and showing only good ones. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Scammer!
This outfit should be done under the Trades Description legislation as "Express" it is not. Order placed 12/4/20, delivered 22/5/20 and one of the plants was dead. Chased up to find out when during the waiting period, and all we got was "Covid". Other companies also got orders from us, all were way better than this outfit, with deliveries from a couple of days to about 1 week. We use Facebook, and have noticed their updates, and rants when people leave bad feedback for them, even threats to block them. PLEASE BLOCK US, so we can't use you again.
Like the previous comment, Covid seems to be an excuse for poor customer service. Ordered 10th April - no acknowledgement of my order or when it would be delivered. They debited my account immediately. After a couple of weeks of no correspondence I emailed to cancel as I had sourced plants elsewhere. They acknowledged the email but no refund. 3 emails later asking point blank for a refund - I did NOT want the plants, still no refund. They finally delivered my (pretty poor quality) plants nearly 6 WEEKS LATER and then had the cheek to tell me that as they had been delivered I was not entitled to a refund.

Recieved less than half my order today 21st may) after ordering 130 pounds worth of plants on the 10th April. Have no idea when the rest will come but I will be refusing them like I sud the shocking plants today! I tried to cancel order raised tickets and emails never had a response. Was processing for over a month then to recieve 4 of 15 plants ordered 7 wks later. See images. Free moth included. Do not use. As they have shut all communication down my credit card company are dealing. These pics are 130 worth or plants from gardening express. You have been warned!
Just a few days ago, five weeks after ordering and having requested cancellation via "Support Ticket" (and, indeed, having received a refund from our credit card company) we received an email telling us our plants were being despatched. After four days we assumed the company had realised their mistake and withdrawn the delivery. However, they arrived on our doorstep late one evening looking a bit sorry for themselves. One plant was rotting but we have been nurturing the remainder which are showing signs of recovery we think. I have informed the company again by "Support Ticket" (only way to contact them) but we have heard nothing.
A week ago I contacted my credit card company as I was still waiting for my plants after 4 weeks with no means of contacting the company (the address will be on your credit card statement) and, having checked our credit card account today, we find we have received our money back. DON'T HESITATE - DO IT NOW! This company is either run by a very dishonest uncaring person or people or it is a downright scam as many have described them.
Ordered 5 weeks ago. Nothing has turned up and despite numerous attempts to contact them and raising a support ticket as requested, still nothing. No plants and no response. Seems to be a complete scam. Will have to follow up with bank to try and get my money back as they have now made themselves completely uncontactable.

Answer: Suggest complaining to the UK government's Coronavirus Business Complaints process as sadly many people have had the same experience including myself. Their Quality "tickets" process is all part of the scam.
