2 dried up, dried twig branches of dwarf Korean lilacs. Grafts had rotting elastic around them. I suspect they will not survive and do NOT resemble what was pictured. £ 50 SCAM.

Gardening Express can't be contacted and are ignoring customers complaints. They have made a huge amount of money during the Covid lockdown and continue taking orders they just cant keep up with.
People have been cheated by Christopher Bonnett the owner of Gardening Express.
The company can't be contacted because they have no telephone number and have closed all contact options including Email.
Customers can't cancel undelivered orders and will not receive a refund as Gardening Express will not communicate with them.
I have raised tickets on their hopeless system but these just get ignored and closed.

The photo's I have posted are of an Acer I paid £30 for and was described as a beautiful rare Acer.
It had the main growing stem cut off leaving 2 side shoots sticking out at 45 degree angle and looked ridiculous.
Gardening Express say on their Website they are ready for the second Covid wave. I BET THEY ARE £££££££
Totally useless, dishonest company, need shutting down. AWFUL STAY AWAY don't believe the good reviews.
Took 7 weeks to receive order, no communication, plant quality is subpar, received a dead houseleek and my Acer, though it says as pictured, arrived looking sad, sorry for itself, with barely any leaves and the box was wrecked. Totally useless company deserve to be shut down. Very dishonest. They have now deleted my complaints 3 times, after I've been waiting for a response for 3 months! And lied on Facebook with an updated post saying they're responding to tickets within 24hrs. They're just looking for business after bad press. They've also blocked me from Facebook so I cant comment or tell people the truth. They've completely refused to deal with me at all and are just pretending I don't exist. 0 accountability, 100% scam artists, don't know how they're able to get away with it!

Ordered plants before lockdown took months to arrive, when they did 50% where dead and the others where really poor state.
Raised a support call with gardening express in April still no response in September even after numerous attempt to contact them.

Do not order from them. I immediately raised a ticket of complaint (you cannot speak to a real person), the plants were dying and the box severely damaged. My complaint was sent to a "higher authority" a month later there is no response, despite numerous follow up mails to ask what is going on. This is the WORST customer service ever. It is clear their plants aren't looked after and they don't care about their customers. They close tickets they hide behind and nothing is done. I wish I had found this site before I ordered, I would never have ordered and WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN. Stay away from them.
I am writing to you to raise an issue about: Shopping
The issue that I have experienced was: I placed an order on 24th April 2020, I received 2/3's of the order 3 months later, 2 of the plants where nearly dead and 5 months later we still have not received the last 1/3. I have raised over 20 tickets on the website and only 3 or so have been responded to. All others have been closed with no response. The other 3 responded to where not resolved.
It occurred on: 23/04/2020
This meant that Paying £243 for plants in very poor condition and renaming order not received with contact impossible or at least a response with a resolution has upset me and my wife hugely. We don't have a lot of money and this was a big outlay. We pretty much ate left with nothing.
Refund the damaged items we sent pictures of, refund the items not received. I would have accepted replacements of the dead plants and ship out the remaining order, but waiting 5 months has gone beyond that option.
I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply to this email address.

Sent photos, emailed them literally for 6 months - they close all the tickets and refuse to refund or replace. Will never buy from them again
Ordered twice from this company but several years apart.
Zero customer service both times; Both orders were for, what they were selling as; established shrubs.
Both orders arrived in a very poor state and it was clear that they the plants hadn't been looked after whilst they were maturing. Not only were they poorly but they had hardly any leaves in them (both bought in season) and looked like someone had dumped twigs in a pot and added a bit of soil. The packaging was below standard - pots were in carrier bags and then put in boxes which were too big for the plant so there was movement and therefore damage in transit resulting in snapped twigs.
Not impressed
I ordered plants in April they arrived 10 weeks later badly damaged i then submitted a ticket with photographic proof and then waited and waited and waited and waited ( can you see the pattern forming)
And then finally received the confirmation that the matter had been resolved and the ticket closed
I have not received any refund or replacement plants or any explanation whatsoever these fraudsters are the worst kind of oxygen thief's ever to have walked the earth and i would urge anyone thinking of doing business with GARDENING EXPRESS to take their custom elsewhere
I did read the reviews for these charlatans but thought they can't be that bad and maybe I'll be ok as a few people have had no problems ( probably family members and workers)

Not worth even the one star. I ordered £120 of plants from them end of April. Most of them arrived in various stages of neglect - from damaged to rotten. I made various attempts to get my money back with no success and now they have closed the complaint. Wonder if the poor NHS worker who was trying to get her money back ever heard back from them either?
Having ordered a fruit tree from Gardening Express it arrived severely damaged with branches snapped off and looking almost dead! I opened a support ticket to request a replacement or refund and got a response within a week to say the ticket had been passed on for resolution. 2 months later they closed the ticket with no communication, resolution or refund. I'd stay WELL AWAY from using this cowboy company!
Delivered badly damaged and dead plants, then do not respond to ticket raised. And then eventually close your ticket weeks later. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY WILL DELIVER DEAD PLANTS AND THEN IGNORE YOU COMPLETELY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Ordered two plants on 2nd August, had two emails apologising for the delay in delivery, due to covid, received my plants on 17th August, one good, one nearly dead.
Sent customer services two photographs on the same day, had an acknowledgement of receipt stating that my complaint had been forwarded to the appropriate dept, since then nothing despite me sending emails every week.
Do not deal with this company they are rubbish much like their plants.
The company do not deliver on time and are almost impossible to contact, I finally received the trees I ordered after 3 months and many emails and then only because I stopped the payment through Barclaycard. The trees are OK not wonderful.
Ordered plants on 11th May still waiting! On the 28th June after contacting them was told they had been delivery on the 22nd June Rubbish! Then told it had gone missing repeated emails and still nothing even recorded a letter to manager on the 15th August asking refund but guess what... No response think I can say goodbye to my money This company should be closed down for they are blatantly advertising and taken money without the slightest intention of supplying plants or refunding and if your lucky enough to get any plants there are dead Save your money Go else where Avoid like Covid 19
Do not order from this company! Accepted my 3 & half week wait for my plant due to "Covid" but then received a plant that didn't resemble to picture. The shots/leaves were meant to cover the hole stalk vertically but they were only at the top of the plant with no sign of shoots emerging below. The only way to contact this coming is by raising a ticket that seems to fall on deaf ears. No telephone number to speak to someone so now I am stuck waiting 10 days later with a plant & packaging with no sign of a resolve. Wish I had checked for reviews before I bought from this company. A total waste of my time & money!

No Customer service
The photos show two supposedly identical Daphnes: one is healthy (but disappointingly small), the other was dead on arrival - and you can see from the root system just why. Death did not occur in the four day period from picking to delivery. They also sent me a dead Sambucus. It is almost impossible to get a response from this company but the glib and inappropriately informal message I did get asked me for more pictures. This is so they can assess the plant! I sense that they are unwilling to refund my money; I also believe I have enough evidence to succeed in recouping my losses via the Small Claims Court. I will never order from Gardening Express again and I hope this review saves others from disappointment and financial loss.
What a bunch of thieving clowns. Order arrived months late. Half order arrived on last legs. Nobody at the company gives a crap about customer service. They take your money and in simple terms rob you blind, then shaft you by sending out sub standard plants. Worst buying experience ever
5 weeks of delay due to COVID is fine, until you then discover that it takes a further 6 weeks for them to lose your quality complaint three times after escalating it twice and basically trying to annoy you so much you give up. These guys are unfortunately scammers exploiting the situation of COVID for financial gain while other garden centres were closed.

Answer: Suggest complaining to the UK government's Coronavirus Business Complaints process as sadly many people have had the same experience including myself. Their Quality "tickets" process is all part of the scam.
