Bad Customer Service

Pitiful. I ordered the PS4 Collectors Edition of Elden Ring last year form GameStop.com. Today, I received a standard edition PS5 copy of the game. I chatted in with customer service through their site to get this resolved. Instead, I was told they could not get the item I ordered anymore and would not refund me the over $200 I paid until I return this $60 incorrect item. Worst retail experience I have ever had online.

I certainly hope they go out of business this year I hate this company so much $300 FOR A CONSOLE AND IT NEVER SHOWED UP! I asked GameStop wtf is going on and they said they sent the package BUT THEY LOST IT. After I asked for a refund they said "We have to run an investigation" I'm just like WTFFFFFFF

Just had the very worst experience with GameStop. We purchased a TV through them because it was supposed to come with $100 gift card (which was going to be a Christmas gift for my son). The gift card never came. After multiple email exchanges with them over a 3 month process... and being told that I would receive a replacement electronic gift card... they just told me that the gift card was used (likely stolen). They will assume no liability. I'm just out of luck.

At this point, it appears that all I can do is save others from a similar fate by sharing this.

Horrendous

This is a dangerous company to do business with! They have owed me for an XBox that was cancelled five minutes after it was ordered for over a month now. When I call one day they have the XBox and the next they say they don't. They have been sent the tracking number four different times. They are the most inept business I have ever dealt with. Will never ever use this business again! All I get are lies and excuses from them. It's been over a month and still don't have my refund. XBox should have never been sent to my house. They are so inept they sent out a cancelled order and it's been hell ever since! O

They suck takes forever for them to do anything all the customer service people are dumb and can't do nun right. GameStop lost my package and I been waiting for 2+ weeks I called again and there still investigating like are you dumb send my package already slow customer service they need to do something better with there lives learn how to work so stupid

Ordered a PS5 from their website a couple of weeks ago and they sent me an extra game that I didn't order. I reached out to them as I was worried they might charge me for it. They said it was their fault and I could keep the game free of charged. Very impressed and my son was over the moon!

I bought some stuff online from them. Somehow, I didn't like it and retuned them right after. And the GameStop got my stuff at 1/14/2022. And obviously the return process and checking will take some days plus the websites says it will take 7-10 days. So I waited for 10 full days and still didn't heard from them. I talked with the costumer service and he told me wait for 5 more days for the delay and it's been 16 days in total days already and still don't know anything about it. I contact them through the costumer service again today and they want me to wait for another 3 days. Like is this fr? I've never thought it would take this much time. If I would've known before I would've never bought that. Worst experience ever. It was my first and last purchase from them...

Bought a gaming monitor November 2021, they shipped a broken monitor to me, so I send it back and during December they claim it'll be there first week of January. It is now Jan 27th 2022, my order had been cancelled three times with no explanation. Every time I call I'm told to "just be patient and wait" but I've been waiting to get a functional monitor since November. Honestly with the way customer service has been handling me, I feel like I never wanna shop from GameStop again. Don't be like me, do yourselves a favor and shop elsewhere.

Still waiting for refund

I ordered a $500+ TV on 11/25/21. The order vanished from freight company between Atlanta and my home. Game Stop said they'd ship another one ASAP - get it in a week! Did not happen: cancelled order on 12/22/21. Today is 1/21/22 and still have not received refund. They say they have to SEND A PAPER CHECK to me and it takes 10 business days, then the line was 25 business days, then the line was "good news... they are going to refund your account within 3 days" which would be 3 days ago. I have yet to receive a refund. Think about that for a second... Game Stop has had my $500+ for approximately 8 weeks and I've nothing to show for it. When speaking with customer service, they cannot get their misinformation/lies straight; when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they say they aren't able to transfer me, but they will call me back - by end of day. Got that misinformation/lie about 5 times; never called back. One of the more interesting lines from customer service was..."have you contacted the freight carrier to find out where the TV is?" WHAAAAT! Since when does the customer have to contact the freight carrier to find out where a purchase is. UNBELIEVABLE! Obviously, my $500+ is being used by GameStop to either pay other customers or to earn some percentage on the money before they refund my account... with a PAPER CHECK!. I'm 66 and even I know that is the most inane way to send a refund in this day of electronic banking. I have disputed this charge with my credit card company today. Will be writing the BBB after this review. The one upside of this ridiculous purchase is I ordered a replacement from Best Buy on 12/22 and received the TV on 12/24. Go figure. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GAME STOP EVER, EVER, EVER. They are liars and cheats!

DO NOT Purchase from their online store

I purchased a Nintendo Switch Pikachu bundle on November 26th of 2021 on their online store. When I received my package, I did not get the console or the Pickachu bag. I called them up on December 22 and they said they would contact me soon (it was a Christmas gift). They did not answer to any of my follow up emails and ended giving me a reply on the 17th of January (almost 2 months after they took my money and a month after I called) saying my console was delivered. Look at the pictures of the package they sent. I lost 370 dollars on this purchase and will never buy anything from them again. Please read this and avoid purchasing there at all cost! The worst thing is that I sent these pictures to them and they still claim it was sent. The Nintendo Switch box would never fit in that tiny bag.

My 8 year old daughter was supposed to get a Nintendo Switch for Christmas and this company stole her gift! Never trusting this company again.

IPhone 12 pro max never even shipped!

Attempted to purchase a iPhone 12 pro Max on January 2nd. When I originally purchased the product it said it would be delivered within 3 days. I kept checking GameStop and it kept saying waiting on product. So I started contacting them on January 8th to find out what the status is but nobody could give me an answer. I sent multiple emails and still nobody can give me a answer on to why my product hasn't shipped. One girl actually said it looks like we have them in stock I don't know why it hasn't shipped! After 10 days I Finally canceled my order and ordered straight through apple. My phone was here in 2 days! Never again GameStop! I'd rather pay a little more to get a very good product and have it sent as promised. Take responsibility for your customers and you might just have more customers! Understand your own systems cuz I sure the heck don't

Do not buy downlaods

If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter got a gift card for Christmas and used it to purchase 5000 v bucks digital download. They gave a code that did not work. They also do not give refunds. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will never do business with GameStop again!

Online Gift Cards are a Scam.

I bought an online gift card from gamestop.ca in hopes of then using it towards an ea gift card as stated on the ea website. I was not helped at all when I first reached out for help by calling twice and emailing the help center 4 hours ago, December 26th. After that, I proceeded to email the help center and the safety center as well as phone three more times. The call center closed abruptly after my first call and stayed that way until now. The hours of operation were not accurate and I feel scammed. They were not clear about their gift card policy. YOU CAN NOT BUY DIGITAL GAMES WITH ONLINE GIFT CARDS! They hid this information in their help center with very, very small print. I am embarrassed about this website as it seems to be created very poorly. I am extremely stressed and disappointed as I have now lost 80$ CAD that I had intended to use towards a gift. Gamestop.ca is a scam online and should represent its policies better. I hope I am assisted soon and rightfully compensated for my lost time and effort. I have spent over 6 hours working on this and I am exhausted with this website.

C. S. Can't Help You!

I placed an order on Nov. 29th, as gifts for Christmas. I received 3 out of 4 explaining the 4th would be shipped separately. After no communication with a valid tracking number I called CS on Dec. 8 th. I was told they were filling a lost in transit claim and would be sending a replacement in plenty of time for Christmas. Today is Dec. 14th, another call to CS to be told until the investigation with FedEx is done they can not send me a replacement. Again I was told I have to wait. They are able to verify that the package is just sitting in a FedEx Hub, but I have to wait and hope someone does their job efficiently. I did my job, I paid for the order in time for Christmas. Should I just put an IOU?

Never get your order!

Order three games on 11/16 as part of their buy 2 get 1 free promo. On 11/17 I get an email saying the free game is out of stock and has been cancelled. But don't worry "you haven't been charged" lol. So I go cancel the pick up in store game. The 3rd game however was shipped. Status has showed awaiting carrier pick up for over 2 weeks. I've called twice and still can't get my game or a refund. This company is a joke and I can't wait for their inevitable bankruptcy!

Horrible Customer Service

Hello, I preordered Battlefield 2042. I was told I would be called on release date with the Steam code to download the game (for PC). It is now two days after the release date, I did not realize what day it was and lost track of days. Well nobody has contacted me and its now two days late, on top of lost playing time, I also refused early access which I paid for earlier on during the game early release. I can assure you once I get my code for this game I WILL NEVER BUY from ANY GameStop EVER again! I have been a returning customer for years and spent lots of money on games, Call of Duty Points (COD CP) along with game systems, accessories and other things. I am very displeased and have never experienced such terrible customer service before in my life. Also all of this message has been copy and will be pasted to a review online. Thanks for such terrible service and handling of customers. Especially with something like this. $100 is ridiculous to pay for a preorder, especially for it not delivered on time.

Gaming head set-Bought this head set for my son and when i saw the price we were so excited for such a killer deal. When my son opened it he was upset. If u look at my pictures the front of the box it shows the real head phone on one side and a pic of a head phone on the other making u believe ur getting a head set with two head phones. Instead it comes one sided. The back shows the real head set so make sure to look at detail.

GameStop doesn't know what they're doing with exclusives. This was recently found that they have a Ku Klux Klan Nighthawk Pokemon that is named Zekrom which is exclusive. This has eyes of an offensive flag (World War 2 Germans; not sure if the actual name could be specified with guidelines).
Do not purchase from GameStop, they couldn't even bother to put any sort of warning or age rating on this. They let a product not suitable for children to be sold advertised as being appropriate.

Complete mess
October 28, 2021

I ordered an Xbox series S online
Was lied to about the delivery not once but 6x. Took time from work to be home for multiple deliveries that were never even there. Their customer service team is not only untrustworthy. They're liars. Unethical and absolute garbage. This will be my last purchase from this company.

Also I have some pictures and emails with names but would prefer to hold onto them for legal purposes going forward.
