Have tried to get ahold of someone from customer service for few weeks now and can't get anyone on the phone there is no chat and I received an email back little more than a week later for them to tell me that the refund that I was looking for was already put back onto my GameStop card. I pulled up the transaction history for the card and screenshot it to show the money was never refunded and can't get any response. This is horrible customer service and theft
Someone has gotten my Visa/Debit Card info and charged close to $3,000 worth of merchandise. This has happened FOUR times in the last 2.5 months. Each time I have to go to my credit union, explain its not me and get a new card. Buy doing this, I have to change info for payments that come directly from my card. This last time I had to fill out pages of paperwork. All the while someone out there is getting free merchandise. Do you people not have a better way of catching these people? It's getting really old
GameStop has the absolute worst online customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a brand new game for full price and they sent me an open copy and when I called they assured me it was new but I said I like to have my games in the factory seal in case I like to sell them one day. I have a large collection and I don't get to everything. They sent me a message that basically said if the item isn't scratched that GameStop considers it brand new. I returned it and they sent a replacement which was the exact same thing again except the open game was in a loose plastic sleeve that they put it in themselves. They sell "open box" games as "new" and there's no where on their website explaining that it's that way. I've ordered games from every major online retailer and and many sellers on eBay and I have never got a new game that came in an open box after paying for a new copy. On eBay the game must be sealed or has to be listed as open box or used. Why is that ok for GameStop to do? They've sent me the wrong items 3 times and I've never had that happen anywhere else. Items that they have in stock on website will be really out of stock and they process orders anyway, take your money and leave the order in limbo until you call and actually get a real person to respond about how they have no idea why it happened (yeah right) and then will cancel the order that you really wanted. The only positive about GameStop is that the in store experiences are always good and the employees are nice and helpful. But brick and mortar game stores are on their way out anyway so this problem is only going to get bigger. Look at the pic I posted... does that look like a factory sealed game to you? GameStop should not be allowed to do this!
I ordered three PS5 games on 8-21-22 that were guaranteed to arrive by 8-25-22. On 8-29-22 I still had not received them and they were for a bday part on 8-27-22. I checked the tracking number provided and it said
" package awaiting USPS pick up" which means it was still at the warehouse/store. I called customer service and the gentleman in fact told me that the package appears lost. I said it never left your facility. He the. Told me my option is to have the games re-shipped or a refund. I asked when the games would arrive if I chose to have them re-shipped and could he expedite it for my inconvenience. He told me there was a 10 to 14 day investigation period And then another 7 to 10 business days to ship them after that so we're talking almost a month. I couldn't help myself but did laugh out loud. I said what if I chose a refund instead. He said they would do an investigation that would take 7 to 10 days and then I would receive a refund. I told him that said This is absurd business practices and I've already waited eight days (4 days past the promise date), missed the BDay party gift and now you want me to wait another month to receive the games for an error you guys made? The customer service agent said "yes that's correct". I said this is my first time ever purchasing from GameStop online and it will be my last please refund my money. I would definitely steer clear from this place and stick with a more reputable will ran company online. This agent offered me no relief, no offer to speak a manager and simply no help at all.
How do you guys post up ways to contact yall on ya website and never answer the phones.
Yall have a chat option but nobody is ever online to chat.
Yall have an email option and i doubt anyone wants to wait days to get a response if yall even respond to that.
Yall customer service sucks and yall need to take a page out of bestbuy's website and find out what customer service really is before yall end up being shut down due to bestbuy and amazon out doing yall. Thank you
Pre-order took 5 extra days to come in and staff could care less… "In transit" is all I heard. Nothing for losing time very frustrated! DM was a joke. Coward couldn't even call back. Spoke through store reps like his shut doesn't stink! Customer service is terrible here!
I placed an order online and paid with paypal. A few days later the order was cancelled and a hold was placed on my paypal account. I called customer service and Nestor said he would reenter the order and I paid with a credit card this time. A few days later I received an email that said my order was cancelled again. I called customer service and Sami said my order was cancelled for security reasons. She said I could wait a few hours and place my order again. Why would I want to do that? Each order was for 2 pcs of Fire Stick w TV controls at the great price of $28. Each ($12. Less each than any other website) Sami confirmed that they were in stock. What's up Gamestop?
I spent over $300 on an Oculus headset for my sons graduation. Thanks to the horrible delivery service they use CDL its been a month & I have still not received the product. They had no issue billing me & taking my money but have yet to deliver my sons gift. Dealing with any human being is a joke and their automated trash emails telling you they are fixing or solving the issue have gone nowhere. I spoke with 1 very nice you g lady who after 3 weeks processed a replacement request after the product was lost in shipment (again CDL is trash) & I am now waiting over a month for receive my product. Again, no issue what so ever taking my money but can't simply get my sons Oculus headset. Trying to get any answers from anyone is like jumping through hoops. I will never ever purchase a single thing from Gamestop! This whole experience has me so disgusted. I just wanted to give my oldest a great graduation gift and thanks to gamestop I couldn't even do that & I am still waiting. It not like I have money to throw away to order another Oculus from somewhere else as I truly feel gamestop doesn't deserve to earn a single penny after this experience. Really wish I never ordered from this company!
I ordered an Xbox One 1tb... it obviously had not been gone through because it was barely operational! I mailed it back almost four weeks ago and I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY REFUND! Are they scamming people?#**************
I purchased a gaming headset for a gift from GameStop about 2 weeks ago. I received a shipping notification and a day or two later I received an email letting me know my package had been delivered. This was around 8pm didn't see any type of delivery happen. I reached out to GameStop the day after to let them know and the rep asked me if I wanted a refund or replacement. I chose a replacement and she told me she would get a replacement item shipped out with one day shipping. Well I got the order confirmation and everything. Within a couple days when I hadn't received any shipping notifications I reached out again. This time the rep told me they had to do an investigation to find out where the package went and then they would send out a replacement. I was frustrated as it was already past the day I needed the headset for and the rep failed to mention they would need to do an investigation before shipping it out and the one day shipping they promised was moot. They told me the investigation would take about 5-7 business days and they would ship out a replacement then. Well it's been more than 7 business days and no email or update. I chatted with another rep and she told me said it takes 7 business days. When I told her it had been that long she then proceeded to tell me it was going to take an additional 7-10 business days for more investigation! Are you kidding me? It's not my fault the package was lost and now I'm waiting for an item I PAID for while they look into why the package never made it to my door. This company is totally incompetent and any rep I've talked to doesn't even care about my issue. Why would you offer a replacement if the customer has to wait forever when they can just get a refund and repurchase the item and HOPEFULLY get it the next time? With the way I've been treated I'm not letting this go and I hope it saves people from going through the same thing I am. I'm never doing business again and I hope this gets resolved quickly.
Product not available in any store so I ordered online. Was told I could return it in store, but store refused to refund me.

I purchased and iPhone 12 back in September 2021 new. It stopped working in January 2022 and I had a warranty so I returned it for my money back because the phone was defective.
Its going on May 18,2022 and I still haven't received my refund but they have their product back and customer service keeps telling me to be patient and wait for their corporate check and that takes 25 to 28 business days. Do the math I paid close to a $1000 for that phone and they wanted to give me store credit. Are they $#*!ing serious. They wont let me talk to the real people in charge because this issue could of been solved. I just want my money.
Dont ever buy from gamestop online because they sell defective products and take their time repaying you for their mistakes.
I bought a nintendo switch online and never received (the tracking status said it was ready for shipping but never left for a week). I complained about it and they told me it was delivered (the tracking status magically changed for delivered at this moment with "retroactive delivery date"…real sketchy stuff) and now they don't want to return my money or help to resolve the problem.
Don't buy from this store online it's not trustworthy.
So I bought two games listed as new on GameStop website. One was Ys pact edition and the other was prinny presents NIS classics. Was shipped in a shipping envelope cases were scratched up no shrink warp on product and didn't even bother to throw in the original case for the one of the new items. Very poor representation of GameStop and their company. Also deceptive business practices would be present here therefore they are not selling it as new but used. This seems to be common practice for GameStop especially if you're buying from their online store. Very poor presentation.
I went into GameStop last week in preparation for the PS5 sale. I got all the info on the bundle I wanted and was told I could pick that specific bundle on sale day.
I showed up at 5 in the morning and happily waited along with 25 people. I was the second person in line. When the manager came out she gave us all our "golden ticket". As I'm waiting the final five minutes I noticed the paper had a specific bundle on. It was nothing I wanted or didn't already have. I noticed most of the other people waiting weren't happy about this either.
At the counter I said I wanted my specific bundle and asked if she remembered me from last week and what she told me about choosing my bundle.
She said that was wrong information and that I shouldn't have been told that. I was given the choice to buy my forced bundle or to leave with nothing. I didn't have the money to buy that bundle and the extra controller for my wife. I was so mad that I walked out. I stayed home the night before to ensure I was up early enough to get what I wanted. Unfortunately I found myself explaining to my wife why I came home empty handed. I wasted my money on renewing my GameStop account that was required for the PS5 purchase along with the hours wasted freezing my butt off outside the store. I'll never step foot in a GameStop store again. I've shopped there for 20 years but will never walk in that place again.
Also, I noticed the next 7 people leave the store angry at what they had to purchase in order to get their PS5.
Way to gamestop...
I currently have to orders from a pre sale gamestop has offered i ordered it ahead of time on the release date i didn't receive a email or notification letting me know about them i wouldn't have known about it if i didn't check the app my issue is that Gamestop shouldn't offer preorder or presale items if they cant fulfill them i realize funko is not keeping up with demand which brings me to the this issue and why im leaving this review because it needs to be addressed
I tried to order my brother a birthday present. Gamestop canceled my order 3 times! I contacted them and they said it was because my email came back as invalid? What kind of BS is that? My email is fine.
This company sucks and so does their slow horrible website.
Trade in sucks. Buy PS5 wireless headset for $100.00 and they only want to give you $12.00 for it. $149.00 PS4 4 TB external hard drive only want to give you $20.00.
I bought an iPhone with them. They shipped out with FedEx. The driver never delivered and I have video evidence. Neither GameStop or FedEx will refund me. Save your money and go with an actual company with morals and willing to help their customers. Not only and am out $590 dollars and no phone.
I am never ordering from gamestop again, the package got delayed 3 times.The shipping and overall tax is too much. I ordered a 9 dollar game which added up to $15.30.The package has one item in it, which is a small xbox game. There is no way one thing should take that long to come.
