I'm waiting for the chat person to answer my inquiry. I've gotten 12 pings that let me know that "the next available agent" will be with me soon. Ping 13...
First off GameStop sells things they dont even have. I camped out for 11 hours in the cold to get an xbox when they didnt even have one like they said they would. Instead they gave out little paper slips to the first people in line. I SHOULD have gotten a slip exept the employee handing them out just gave them to whoever he saw. There were these for ladies apparently sisters that dont live in the same household. ( one console per household rule) and they were not all adults they jipped so many people and got a full 4 slips for xbox. One of them was literally 12 so i doubt she lives alone bc she called the other lady "MOM". So this employee did a AWFUL job. This is why i am giving them a 1 star review even though i would rather give 0 stars... sorry gamestop u just lost a customer
Went in to sell a ps4 pro, this scrawny twig dude wearing women's clothes and pink nail polish and cat ears.
He was already serving a customer no problem, but instead of just wrapping it up he has them going around the shop picking out another game for the deal, this takes 10 minutes before the kid decides during this time instead of serving me he serves 2 people that came in after me.(one of which he lost the customers funk pop that was ordered to the store"
Im patient no problem
So it asks me for my phone number, tell them no
"But its my job man!"
Sorry, but no.
Shoots the pitch third time anyway.
Then goes on to tell me about the power reward, tell him please don't give me any pitches.
Still pitched it another 2 times.
I get just the dues job.
Now he's silent wont say a word
I ask if it will be cash they got rude and said
"i figured you just wanted cash since you didn't wanna hear me talk"
Dude then drops the price from the ps4 pro from 175, to $85
Tells me its for dust and missing parts
It was missing a rubber stopper that did nothing (1 cm wide piece of plastic you never even see"
The dust came off with my finger
I ask about the parts nicely and he just got rude about and told me he could take it "if i didn't live like trash"
Tldr had a cross dresser serve customers that came in after me before serving me
They got rude for asking questions politely never raised my tone
Cut the price of a trade in by $90/50% for small dust and basically a screw cover then got an attitude about it
Stopped them on the first sale pitch, but still gave another 5 despite being told to stop, then it got an attitude as a result.
Gamestop.com order. I ordered a complete set of Star Wars Black series figures months ago. It finally 'shipped' on 8/6/2020. As of 9/23/2020, the package is still "Awaiting Carrier Pickup." I have called every single week since 8/21/2020 and each time I am given the runaround about how they will ship these out to me immediately. Every week, it's the same thing. So finally I decided I just wanted them to cancel my order and give me a refund. Now, guess what? I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE REFUND. I have never ordered through Gamestop before this and I will never order from them every again. Over two months of waiting for items while they kept my money with absolutely NO intent to ship to me. I will complain every place I can with this sham of a company. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.
Anytime I buy something that isn't a game disk or card at GameStop, it has issues. I saved up enough money to buy an XBox One and got it at GameStop, and when I got home, it couldn't play physical disk. I had bought a couple of games for it cheap at GameStop that I now had to rebuy, full price this time, on a preowned console that I couldn't refund the very next day not only because I had lost the receipt, but somehow the clerks didn't remember me. I had been shopping at that GameStop for years at that point. Then I bought a controller because the wires were cluttering at my desk. This time it wasn't preowned, it came in a box, it was all shiny and new and it had drift. I just want to play games and not get motion sick and play physical copies and I hate GameStop.
Alright so if you want to do a trade-in for store credit, DON'T go here. I traded in like 10 ps2 games and got $14. They're pretty understanding on everything else though, and shipping is pretty quick. I do suggest getting the warranty if you get anything pre-owned, which is actually really helpful. Customer service is great.
No number for customer service to get assistance with an online order. I was told I paid for 1-2 business shipping and ended up realizing I paid for 5-7 business days the next day and was not able to cancel the order. Just checked my order today and it says that it will be delivered the following Tuesday. Never had issues with GameStop until now. HORRIBLE
I recently bought Nintendo switch joycons online through GameStop because they were out at our local Walmart and Meijer. I decided to buy from GameStop versus amazon because I liked the color of the joycons more. Both companies promised 2 day shipping. I paid for 2-5 day with GameStop thinking if it's 5 days no biggie. 3 weeks later I called because I still hadn't received my order. When I called they informed me it still hadn't shipped and it would be another 6-10 business days before it shipped. I cancelled and bought locally. They told me a refund would come 6-10 business days. It's now been 2 weeks. I tried calling and they said it could take up to 3 weeks. Never again will I order or shop from GameStop. I'm so disappointed and their sales representatives don't seem to care either.
Don't trust Gamestop they use the Pandemic to ignore their customers. They don't answer emails or the phone and don't treat their customers right! Buyer Beware! They did not add my warranty at check with a refurbished game system. They did not respond to my emails. The stores were closed so I could not resolve at a local level. 3 months later when I finally got someone on the phone they refused to help me!
I ordered 2 digital down loads for my grandson and never got them. Called a number stayed on hold for 45 minutes said i had to wait 24 hours for my order. I called 3 more times that day to be put on hold again. Now these a digital downloads nothing that has to be sent in the mail. I ended up canceling my order. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH GAME STOP. They get Zero stares from me.The sad thing is they make you put at least one star.
They keep lying.
They've had multiple times where they advertise something and don't provide it, or don't provide it at the price advertised.
The two most recent were:
1 - Buy $25 worth of pokemon cards and get an oversized card and binder. I called for weeks before they tried to resolve it and then they told lies. It started after I made the purchase (I purchased from the ad that said it had started) and "while supplies last" which it clearly didn't say.
2- you can try making excuses for that one, but the "rebel clash pokemon box for 24.99" with a picture of the yellow box and then they only offered sword and shield blue and red boxes. Yeah, they labeled and pictured one item then offered something else entirely. Bait and switch fraud. I even sent them the ad so they could see for themselves.
3- then they give me points and won't let them redeem them. I worked on this for weeks and still can't use them. "create a new account" and so many other things and I still can't use my credit.
They don't help. It's always the run around. Avoid at all costs!
Okay, in store things are fine. You can see a product and you are responsible for getting it home so you know it will arrive in good quality.
Do. Not. Order. Collectibles. Online. I was just astounded that I would even be sent an exclusive collectible in this condition. The actual package it was shipped in by the USPS looked perfect, no issues. So that means someone saw how completely crushed this Pop was, went "eh", and threw it in a box anyway. Really, guys? Thank god they sent me a new one free of charge.
My wife ordered 3 games from these people online and only 1 was in the package when it was opened. Local store could not help and since it was after 5 est we got no answer when we called support. The next day there is no email response to my wife's inquire and I have been waiting for someone to answer the phone on there end for 2 hours so far. From now on I purchase all my games from Amazon or Walmart I'll never deal with these people again.
I ordered the Nintendo Switch Lite Turquoise System Starter Bundle via the GameStop website. My 10-year old son had saved up money for months on end so he could buy it. We waited a week for the bundle to arrive, even an extra day due to a shipping delay. My son couldn't help but get excited while waiting. Who could blame him?
The UPS truck finally arrived, he ran outside, grabbed the box, we opened it up, and... there was no Nintendo Switch Lite inside, only a game and a screen protector. No system. So, um how does somebody play a game without a system? And, uh... how do you put a screen protector on a system that you don't have? We checked outside to see if we missed another box. Nothing. We looked in the box we had received to see if we maybe missed it somehow? Maybe it was invisible? Perhaps it was hidden within a secret compartment inside a magical box? Nope. Just a game and a screen protector.
Apparently, GameStop didn't have any Nintendo Switch Lites in stock and didn't let me know this, deciding instead to send us a game and a screen protector just so they could charge us something. Thanks GameStop for making a 10-year old child cry for an entire day! Well done! Awesome job.
Hey, here's a good idea: If you don't have the product, don't claim you have the product and allow people to purchase it when you can't actually deliver it. This is like paying for a delicious meal and getting a raisin instead. You should be ashamed, GameStop. I, for one, will never use you again. In your mind's eye, imagine all the curse words you can... and I'm saying them to you now.
I ordered 2 items online and I also paid for faster shipping and handling. It should have taken about 3 to 5 days to arrived. On the 4th day, I checked the status of my order and it was still processing. No biggie right? I called them to cancel the order and the next day it was still active. I emailed them 4 times and it was still processing. Two weeks went by and I finally received the items that I purchased at Target instead of waiting because Gamestop could not give me an order status. I mean I paid extra, and I contacted them several times to cancel before the items left the warehouse. Go to Amazon, Target, Walmart etc instead.
Placed an order on line and they do not have the order in their system now. Attempted to contact them via their contact us site with no result. Will now have to contact my credit card company and the WA AG to report the fraud
This is NOT a video game company!
This is NOT a video game company, It is a criminal organisation of cheaters and scammers,
I pre-ordered my Doom Eternal Collectors Edition way back in June 2019. I monitored the progress of the release date and told GS to ship it well to my country, they told me it wil be shipped on release day.
Well, NOT only did it not shipped, Gamestop fraudulently charged me TRIPLE the price of the product on my credit card! Instead of $239.98 (including shipping fee) I was robbed of $719.94! And I didn't even receive the product!
If there was a negative number for a review, Gamestop deserve even worse than that
This company is a sleazy $#*! hole and as one apart of a gaming community and also loyal customer of them I am embarrassed to have ever thought they would conduct business in a professional manner. They're so desperate to stay open and keep their dying business alive that they'll rip off customers and screw them over for nickles and dimes. Please, if you buy video games buy them digitally or from amazon as well as headsets consoles etc. Send this disgrace of a business to the grave, and in the wake of this Coronavirus it seems they have no problem sending their own employees there. $#*! GameStop and everyone involved.
I ordered an item on cyber Monday and was suppose to be delivered December 2 and never got it! Gamestop is a major scam! I contacted the customer service in which they left me on hold for hours on end just to be unless in the end!
If you try to order online at Gamestop, especially during their sales periods, prepare to get your order cancelled. At this point I've made 13 different orders over the course of 4 days. 11 have been cancelled with no explanation, 1 sent, and 1 pending. I've had at 4+ customer service calls to Gamestop (not including the calls to my banks) with a total wait time of ~2 hours (not including the amount of waiting they make you do while you're talking to someone, their system is not very efficient).
The worst part is it takes at least 24 hours (though my most recent one occurred at the 36 hour mark) for your order to process, meaning you will think your order will go through, just to have your hopes dashed. I'd honestly prefer a speedy cancellation over the kind that you wait 12+ hours for, especially since these deals are time sensitive. I know the subject line format for their cancellation email so well at this point because it has ruined my mood many times this weekend.
The most common response they will give is an issue with your bank (not the issue, I've checked). At one point their customer service genuinely said there's nothing we can do, we don't know why your order cancelled, and suggested I use a different card or email. I've used THREE different forms of payment (how many do they expect me to have?) including Paypal. Even when using Venmo through Paypal and paying with my balance (aka no banks required), that still didn't go through. It's also a common response to just purchase it at a physical store but if that was a viable option, why would I have spent so much time trying to order it through the website? Not everyone lives close to your stores.
This has been THE WORST customer experience I've ever had. The customer service is SO UNHELPFUL. If you're going to have an outdated system, at least know what's wrong with it so people can get help. Gamestop is too big of a company to be this incompetent. My experiences in store (back when I lived close to one) was fine but I will try my best to never spend money at Gamestop again after this.
Currently I have $3,370 on hold for trying to make a $305 purchase. Thankfully I don't have any bills that need to be paid at this time while I wait for my two banks to reject these numerous STILL PENDING charges that Gamestop has automatically cancelled the orders for while still claiming the issue is on my financial institution's end. For the average consumer, they would have given up by now. You'd think after putting me through all this, I'd at least get some sort of discount compensation (I feel like this has cut 1-2 months from my life just from the stress and anger) but no, it's clear Gamestop as a corporation does not care about it's customers. I for one have given up on Gamestop. I hope you learn from my mistakes.
