I rarely have problems with my Freshly deliveries, but when I do, it's very frustrating because Freshly is the only reason I eat, the company always comes to the rescue. Most recently customer service agent Agatha helped me troubleshoot the delivery issues I was having --carrier not entering package into apartment delivery system, resulting in delayed package retireval--by helping me update delivery instructions for the carriers, which did not even occur to me. I love the food and the company.

I received another email from Freshly asking me to rate my experience either satisfied or unsatisfied. That's too black or white. The representative I spoke with was polite and helpful. So in that sense I was satisfied. But I'm sure she doesn't set policy so it's not her fault; but I found the policy about the issue to be very rigid and inflexible. So in that sense I was unsatisfied. Overall I'm very pleased with Freshly; good food, good customer service mostly. I was just disappointed and surprised that my, what I think was simple, request couldn't have been accommodated.

I'm really trying to eat healthier and cut out the junk food, so I ordered Freshly to help me with my self-control. I wasn't looking for meals that tasted as good as the junk food (what realistically would live up to those standards), but simply food to get me through the day. Maybe it's my chef, but my meals were atrocious. I had read reviews claiming that the food was bland and tasteless but that didn't really bother me since I was trying to control my meal portions as well. The true crux of the problem though wasn't that I couldn't taste what I was eating, it WAS THE TASTE that was abysmal. This is coming from a person who eats oatmeal 3 to 4 times a week with nothing else added to it. No Cinnamon, Fruit, sugar, nutmeg... NOTHING. Perhaps its the way they freeze the food or, again, my chef was doing something to their recipes or I have Super taste buds since this is the third meal delivery company I've tried. But whatever the culprit, I felt compelled to share my story. I've obviously cancelled and I'm going to try meal kit delivery services where i cook the food myself.

I have ordered this service for my elderly parents. So far they really enjoy the food. We are supposed to confirm meal choices by Thursday afternoon for the upcoming week. My folks were late in getting back to me and the system automatically repeated the previous week choices. I emailed Freshly and Marge S. Called me back within 15 minutes. She allowed me to make some changes for the upcoming week. I greatly appreciate her help and the companies responsiveness. Thank you.
Michael, I'd let customers change their meals whenever they wished to, but as you know we don't freeze meals so we have to give our kitchen enough time to prep, cook and then deliver your parents their meals. We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
