Food is absolutely delicious... as if you were dining in restaurant. But so much better b/c it's ready in 2 min straight from your microwave. Love that nothing is frozen and appreciate the new packaging that includes all the nutritional + calorie info. I would order waaaay more often if they had a wider range of Vegetarian/Pescetarian entrees.
Freshly would not pause my order even when I told them I was away on business. I will never order from them again and will not recommend them. Now I will have $60 worth of meals spoiling in my doorstep while I'm gone. I will tell everyone I know to stay away.

Easy to use, convenient and delicious. If you need quick healthy dinner and can afford it, Freshly is the way to go. Plenty of variety, always changing, and the nutrition labels are great if watching your intake.

My boyfriend and I are busy and we tried blue apron before and loved it but it takes some food prep time so we wanted to try freshly. The food is pretty bad. I guess it is edible, but at the prices they charge it's not okay. I think i would have rather bought frozen microwave dinners. THey are cheaper and taste better. Then we cancelled the plan 5 days before the next delivery and we were told that it was too late. I called and told the customer service rep that we really just didn't like the food and that we hadn't even finished the first shipment. They said they would return 15 dollars which i guess is better than nothing. Im pretty disappointed and i really really did not want that second shipment. I might just throw it out. I don't even think shelters will take it. What a waste. It is a terrible waste of food. The fact that we cancelled our account even before the food was shipped and they still shipped it is just wasteful.

So sorry for any confusion regarding how our service works. All of our plans are set up as weekly recurring orders, per the ordering process, checkout, Terms, and initial confirmation email. But customers can skip weeks as needed or even pause/cancel.
We simply require that these actions are taken by the weekly deadline which is outlined in the welcome email, weekly reminder emails, and on Meal Planner pages.
We don't mean to be difficult by sticking to our deadlines, we simply need to maintain the most efficient production process that we can, since we prepare and ship tens of thousands of meals each week.
However, I'm very happy to hear that our reps were able to resolve this for you in providing a partial refund of 25% on your order! I would certainly suggest sharing the meals with a local shelter, or perhaps some friends or neighbors who could enjoy the meals, if you do not wish to eat them.
Highly satisfied with the food and options, I like the ease of heating and the generous portions. I look forward to maybe expanded meals in the future to include desserts, sides, etc,

I have subscribed two different times, once for taking a long RV trip and now because I am remodeling my home and have cramped access to my kitchen. The meals for my RV trip, I froze and reheated when I was somewhere to enjoy the view and good meal. Freshly meals tasted just as good after frozen as they do fresh.
Remodeling is so stressful! Having delicious healthy meals ready to heat and eat takes away a big chunk of that stress. Having Freshly delivered to my door is so easy and heating up my meals so quick. It's a life saver!

I love the convenience of having the meals delivered to my front door. Never frozen and very fresh. The only complaint I have is, I feel very limited to the meals I can order because of the sides. There are several meals I would like to try, but I do not like the side dishes. Therefore, I skip weeks because we basically order the same thing over and over and that gets old.

I decided to give Freshly a try when both my kids moved out of the house. I didn't want to have to cook... just wanted meals ready to eat. I LOVE this service. The food is great and easy to heat up. The delivery is on time and the food remains cold if I am not home when it arrives. The website is easy to use and update your choices. Lots of selections. I tell everyone about this service and how much we are enjoying it.

I love this service so much! My husband and I are used to eating out every night and we knew we needed to change that as our weight was starting to get out of hand. We started to look in to the home delivery food services that send you your ingredients, but since I am not big on cooking, I kept searching and found Freshly! I love everything about this company! From the neat packaging that your order comes in, to the food, to the pricing, to the convenience. This service gives you extra time in the evening to do what you want if you don't like spending your time cooking like me! Knowing that you are eating something that's healthy is the cherry on top. Also, if you don't eat your meal by the date listed on the packaging, you can freeze it so that it doesn't go to waste. My husband is usually picky with food and he has enjoyed everything we have ordered so far. Any time we have tried to clean up our eating habits in the past, our meals were very boring and bland which turned in to us going back to the unhealthy foods. Freshly keeps it interesting with all of their meals and it really has made us excited about eating healthy. Thank you Freshly!
****For those who are giving this company a bad review based on your inability to follow directions, that is all on you. The directions are all over the Freshly website as well as an email they send you after you purchase your meals. You have a certain day that you must either choose your meals by or pause your subscription, or it is assumed you want the same meals as your previous week. Do not give a bad review based on your own ignorance.****

Waited 3 weeks because they were sold out only to find out my order would not be delivered v when i called in to check the status. They said it would not be safe to consume if delivered, wtf! They expressed no real empathy and basically told me to try again. As a first time customer that is unacceptable.

I've had like 3-4 weeks of deliveries now.
My primarily purpose for freshly is I don't like cooking, and I would like to eat healthier. Thus far I've been thrilled with the selection and quality/portions.
I'm taking off a star, because it does feel just a hair too expensive.

We've only been members for a few months and love the convenience of this service. Between my husband working full time, me working part time, and having a baby, this is the way to go for fresh meals at home. The majority of the meals have been excellent. The only thing we dislike is how difficult the plastic is to pull off, though there is a label warning to cut it off instead, which is fine. Once they sent the wrong meal by accident, and when we called about it, were credited $5 for it. We really appreciated that. We have upped our subscription to 12 meals a week and I don't think we'll regret it.
Comes fresh, never frozen with great choices to my home each week. I pick from a menu each week. You can change it up as you like. New options are being introduced regularly! Thank You for saving me time after work!

I would like to see #1 or #2 plastic food trays. Recycling for other types of plastics is not accepted in my area. It would also to be handy if the meals came with a label if they are freezable. I cannot eat all my meals before the "use by" date, and while I realize they aren't designed as such, freezing is sometimes necessary.

You can certainly freeze any of our meals! While they are intended to be refrigerated, we understand our customers cannot always enjoy all of their meals prior to the use-by date. Freezing keeps them good for a rainy day, and you will just need to add a minute or two to the heating time!
All the food has been great so far. What is nice it that the portions are perfect size and so easy to prepare.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
