I received my first order a few weeks ago and the quality was ok however the price is too high for microwave meals. There was barely any flavor to the food and I'm not a person that typically uses salt. Now fast forward a few weeks, I see the charge show up on my bank account however I never received a reminder email notification to change my meals to try something different. Why would I want the exact same thing, and who would want the same meals every week? I cancelled my membership at 9 PM pacific time and the order for the next week had been placed at 5 pm. I emailed customer service and got a long winded explanation as to why they can't cancel, I asked them to reconsider because the time frame was very short from when the order was placed to when I cancelled. I again received a long winded explanation as to why they can't cancel, which I completely understand but at no time was any compensation offered to make this better. I'm not even going to be in town to receive the meals so they are going to go to waste and customer service did not try one bit to help this situation.
Freshly is great. It's fast and it's fresh and there are a lot of options. The website is easy to navigate. There's new items to choose from often. I have a lot of confidence in the quality of food I'm receiving every week.

The food is amazingly well prepared and fresh. All the chicken dishes are so juicy and moist. The only negative is that sometimes FedEx doesn't do there part, and I have to go to my apartment office the next day to pick up. However despite this food is still well insulted and cold so it's not a huge isue.

I really enjoy the foods that have been shipped not all of them but at least they do allow you to review every meal that you have eaten and to let them know what was your likes and/or dislikes so improvements can be made. I really appreciate those options.

I absolutely love Freshly... I researched multiple food delivery subscription services and decided on Freshly. Best decision! The food is absolutely delicious, perfect serving size and keeps me on track. I love that they email you a reminder so you can make changes to your menu selections, delivery date, skip the week if needed, etc... They also offer amazing customer service! I emailed them with a question and they called within the time frame the automated response said they would and got my mistake straightened out. I have referred at least 3 customers to them and continue to tell others about it. I highly recommend Freshly!

While the food is quite good, I find it to be lacking tastes I like, such as garlic, more onion, cumin, etc. I really like not having to cook, especially while I am recouping from surgery; however, I would like it a bit spicier.

I love to cook, but it's not as fun cooking just for one. Freshly is both convenient and offers good nutrition for one. I must watch my carbs, so I appreciate the low carb high protein food selection. Price is pretty affordable for a couple of weeks worth of food per month. The other 2 weeks I cook or go out. Overall I enjoy my Freshly subscription very much. Thanks Freshly Team.

My husband and I really enjoy Freshly. They are good wholesome meals with lots of protein in them to keep us energized. We have also been very happy with the selection of entrees and the taste of the food is excellent.

The food has been great but it is a royal pain to get the plastic wrap off the container once the food has been microwaved. It would be much appreciated if you could figure out a way to peel off the plastic wrap easier once food is done.

I really do enjoy most of the meals. Penna Bolognese, Sicilian style chicken parm, Chicken taste amazing. Are two of my favorites. I think most of the sides on all dishes taste great! But some of the proteins taste dry and hard. Especially the Southern chicken bowl. I usually eat these meals for dinner. One suggestion I would have is... what if you offered just the sides? I noticed cooking sides takes significantly longer than preparing the protein. That would be a program I would purchase. Feel free to contact me if have any more questions.

I have enjoyed the meals that I have chosen so far. At first, I thought that this might be too expensive of an option but by cutting down how much I go out for less nutritious meals, I find that it is worth it. I like having no dishes left to deal with and being able to recycle the packages. The customer support was great when there was an error on my order and they were very accommodating in correcting it.

We found a deadline of 5-6 days ahead of delivery (depending upon delivery zone,) allows us enough time to ensure each order is prepared with care and accuracy!

I used to subscribe to another food delivery service that had great food but it usually took an hour to prepare and resulted in two servings. I didn't mind eating the same meal twice but I didn't want to cook and cleanup. Freshly eliminates the cooking and cleanup and I don't have to eat the same meal twice. Also, I feel the food is healthy, I don't feel hungry and I think I'm losing some weight in the process. I particularly like the choices as it is easy to find 6 selections out of the available choices.

The plastic film on the meals was applied with nuclear fusion. It's impossible to remove and often results in your fingers winding up in your food to get it open. The meatballs are garlic bombs.
Don't get me wrong - everything else is good! I like the service and the food. These 2 issues are annoying though.

A quality meal that tastes home cooked, nutritionally great, ready in minutes, and at a reasonable price. Oh, and no carts or checkout lines. Yup - all of that at Freshly. Plus the bonus of changing the menu with a few clicks. Now we have time for a game and an extra story at bedtime. So thrilled.

I used a promo code because I wanted to try out the service during my midterms week. I enjoyed the food mostly, except for the steak, and thought that was the end of it. Apparently, it just auto subscribes you without asking if you want to continue, since I thought the coupon was for a trial, since it was like your first order. So I wasted like $60 on food that I didn't get to do anything with. It's easy to pause, but I'd really wish they had a warning before signing up.
Also I know they contact you via email but for some reason it got filtered to spam so I didn't see it at all, and filing a refund would be kind of jerkish I guess. Sad that I lost l$60 that I could have used for groceries...
Edit: can't even remove my card details or whatnot. My card expired so i wanted to change it so I don't get weird fees but I guess not.
Yes, all of our plans are set up as weekly recurring orders, per the ordering process, checkout, Terms, and initial confirmation email. But customers can skip weeks as needed or even pause/cancel.
We simply require that these actions are taken by the weekly deadline which is outlined in the welcome email, weekly reminder emails, and on Meal Planner pages.
We don't mean to be difficult by sticking to our deadlines, we simply need to maintain the most efficient production process that we can, since we prepare and ship tens of thousands of meals each week.

As a fairly new vegetarian I have been struggling with getting enough protein. As the ONLY vegetarian in my family it has made preparing high quality protein meals just for me very challenging. Enter Freshly. I saw Freshly advertised on Facebook and decided to try it. It has turned out to be a very wise decision! Now I just pop one of my Freshly entrees into the microwave and am able to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal with no searching for recipes, shopping or cooking! YAY! And I'm getting the protein I need in an almost ebarassingly easy manner! I would have given 5 stars but I think Freshly needs to add more vegetarian options that don't include fish and shellfish.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)

Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
