Love it. I love that I don't have to cook because I don't enjoy it, but I also love that all the meals are fresh with ingredients I can read! No preservatives + clean foods + protein = a huge win for me!
We have really liked using this service. The food has been tasty and convenient. My husband was the cook before he had surgery, so I was faced with cooking and providing care to him in recovery. Also, I am on weight watchers, and I am successfully keeping within my daily allowed points. So this program has been a win/win for my husband and me. Thanks Freshly staff.

Freshly is a great service with a decent number of heathy options. The convenience of having a week's worth of freshly made meals is so worth it. There is a little bit of weekly meals management to ensure you don't get the same stuff every week, but that is expected. Plus, in order to avoid burning out on Freshly, just like any other restaurant, I might suggest you don't plan on eating it every day. We just tried our first meal. It was the meatloaf and it was wonderful. My husband and I are not big eaters and sharing the one meal was more than enough to satisfy the both of us. We were very pleased with not only the food but the delivery as well.

This was my first order with freshly and i am definitely surprised. Im a very picky eater and usually dont try new things but everything was delicous. The food tasted fresh, was seasoned well and good sized portions. I love the packaging and how they seem to be such an eco friendly company. Its no fun cooking for one person and most of the time i feel like the food just goes to waste, this was a great choice.
Cant wait to see what menu options come out next... maybe brisket or alfredo (hint hint)

I have been very pleased with "Freshly". The meals I pick myself have never disappointed me. The meals arrive in excellent packaging with directions on the cardboard exterior. I heat them up in the microwave. They are always balanced nutritionally. Though I have only just started I am enthusiastically endorsing this experience.

Okay food, not great. But horrible system! Charge my card and won't let me change my meals 5 days prior to shipment. By the time you get the food, you only have 1 day to change it if you don't like it. Problem don't know what you like/don't like until after you eaten them. Horrible system. I got sick of their food after the first 2 weeks. Not letting you change your food is a deal breaker. Do not recommend.

I see that you reached out to us on Tuesday to have your meals changed, however, as your deadline was Sunday before 5pm PST, your order had already been locked into our schedule at that time. Our meals are perishable and require a strict production schedule that if deviated from would damage the integrity of the meals and inhibit the efficiency of the production process. We forecast our raw material purchases and procure ingredients at the peak of ripeness to meet very specific demands that fluctuate from week to week. This is why it is so critical to give ample time for changes or cancellations.
At any rate, it's certainly not our intention to be difficult or to take advantage of anyone--we simply have to have a deadline for the aforementioned reasons and try to make it as fair for our customers as possible.
I do appreciate your feedback regarding our deadlines, and I will be sure to pass it along to our Tech Team for further review.
I work an overnight shift as a police officer when nothing is open but gas stations. I'm a very health conscious person who takes fitness serious. Freshly works great for me because I bring one in my lunch everyday. The quality of the meals is great, the quantity of food is enough to make me full, but not too much that I become sleepy and lazy. The large menu keeps me from getting bored. I feel good after eating freshly meals.
My husband and I are not able to cook very much because of health problems. We tried the other companies that send you all you need to prepare a meal but you still have to stand and cut up the vegetables and other things to prepare the meal. With Freshly you get a freshly cooked meal, and a good one at that. My husband and I are extremely happy with these meals. Now we are just waiting for a bigger meal selection so we can increase the number of meals we get every week!

Every meal I've received has been delicious, perfectly portioned, and has arrived on time each week! Cooking for one was becoming a huge burden and I found myself wasting tons of money on groceries that went bad because I was too lazy to cook and opted for fast food. I was pretty hesitant to try freshly but I'm so glad that I did!

The food tastes really good and the portion sizes are mostly consistent. All of the entrees are very high (percentage-wise) in fat. Which makes it difficult to portion properly and balance my daily macros.

Got my initial 6 pack. Most have 40+% of calories from fat.
Under seasoned proteins and veggies, over seasoned potatoes.
Today I tried the chicken parm. Bland chicken and watery under seasoned veggies.
Yesterday I had the peppercorn steak. Steak was overcooked. Veggies were under seasoned and the potatoes were over salted.
So not worth the $10/meal. I've had better $4 frozen entrees. Fresher, healthier, tastier, and certainly cheaper meals are easy to find at local restaurants and grocery stores.
And no Freshly I will not consider giving you another try. You slyly get in a second delivery before we even have a chance to try much if any from the first delivery. Their guarantee is useless as all it guarantees is that they give you back what they feel like giving back, be it $1 or the whole order.

The food has been excellent. We haven't had a meal that wasn't good and some have been excellent. Portion sizes have been great, my husband and I fee full but are not over eating. My only complaint has been our delivery. We have been getting our deliveries on the date expected but not until 9 at night. When I sent this concern to customer service they said there was really nothing they could do. I have never had deliveries so late at night from USPS or UPS. It is frustrating for us to get a delivery this late.

At this time we use third party carriers, who are unfortunately unable to guarantee a specific delivery time. The delivery time frame given to us by FedEx is 9am-9pm. It appears that you may be closer to the end of your FedEx driver's route, which is why the packages continue to arrive after 5:00PM. As we continue to grow we hope to offer more delivery options, which will hopefully make your deliveries more convenient!
Initially ordered meals that looked like they were lower carb, but when I received they were all 40-60 carbs each. Tried to cancel next order immediately but had to pay $59 for 6 more meals I can't eat. Called customer service and they said they aren't focused on weight loss options.
Thank you for your review and feedback, Julie. I'm very sorry for the confusion with our service! All of our plans are set up as weekly recurring orders, but you can select to skip or cancel orders at anytime, as long as the changes are made prior to your weekly deadline.
While we do focus on high protein, and paleo principles, our meals aren't designed for weight loss, specifically. But some customers do experience weight loss! Typically this is because our portions are not the typical American restaurant larger-than-life portions, and are healthier than what they were eating most of the time prior to ordering. We do offer a Nutritional Breakdown for each meal as well, which can be accessed prior to ordering by clicking on any meal picture on our menu!

We've had freshly for 4 weeks now. Our delivery is on Saturday and then we have until Monday to choose our meals. I honestly always forget because the weekend is so busy so I get stuck with a lot of meals I may not want again because you can't change them after the deadline.
Also most of our meals "expire" 3-4 days later at the most. We like to use them as supplements when we're on the go so our 6 meals usually take more than 3-4 days to eat.
Lastly, the meals are good but lack seasoning which I just add myself. They are just right for my husband but always too big for me and many of them I believe make us feel bloated. More than a few times after eating, we're both feeling it and I don't get that often at all with other foods whether cooking myself or eating out.
I think it's worked for us for now since we're on the go but I wouldn't use the service long term unless the meals got a lot tastier, options changed a little more often, and/or you could change your meal with a little less restrictions.

The food is great! The only complaint I have is the first order came perfect. Every order after I have had one of the items I chose missing and substituted with something different (miss pulled items).

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
