I'm loving the Freshly service so far. The food is very good and the price is reasonable. Navigating your website to make food choices isn't as intuitive as I would like, but I'll get the hang of it soon.
Started about 6 weeks ago - this is pretty near restaurant quality, much healthier than the drive-throughs I would go to if not for these, and the portions are larger than frozen meals (which these are not) - and less expensive than the fast food crap I usually eat - going to be part of my lifestyle going forward
I have been wanting to try this meal delivery phenomenon for a while now. I did so much research that my head was dizzy and then I found Freshly. There offering style is exactly what I need. I'm so impressed with the quality each meal. It feels like I am either eating our ever night or more so like having my own private chef!

After getting an email regarding by box being unable to be deliver the customer service rep let me know they would be kind enough to credit MY MONEY FOR A BOX I PREPAID for to a future order. AKA no compensation offered at all. When I expressed my disappointment in this solution and said I would not likely use the service again, instead of seeking to right the situation the rep (Robin W) cancelled my subscription. Can not believe the level of disregard. We were relying on these meals and do not have a lot of funds to replace meals now with our money tied up with Freshly.

Both the wife and I are working professionals with a baby on the way. Just recently joined Freshly and we love it! Not one meal that we have not enjoyed. Great price point considering the high protein and fresh ingredients in each meal. In addition, you simply can't put a price tag on meal prep so these meals are a game changer Monday-Friday! We're hooked on freshly! I would recommend that you good folks at Freshly please offer more beef meals in the future.

We're just trying our meals, and we've only had two... we are both so impressed! Hubby is a phenomenal cook but just had a MAJOR surgery so we thought this might be a good and convenient thing as I work full time.
The two dinners we've had have been very tasty. I'm impressed that they have each meal dialed in to microwave cooking and 'waiting' times to get the perfect heat, texture and doneness! So far, it's pretty amazing and like other food services, these you just warm up. I LOVE cooking too but this is so easy and DELICIOUS!

The food is great and very much in line with my nutrition goals. Meat is always tender despite microwaving, very well executed. The engineering on the box it comes in is great with most of it recyclable or biodegradable; one of my big hangups with services like this has been the waste involved in the packaging and Freshly is doing a great job in this area.
My only complaint is that the plastic film on the individual meals shreds to bits every when you try to remove it. It ends up flicking drops of moisture everywhere, getting on your hands and without the utmost care, your shirt, which is not ideal at work. I have to attack it with paper towel in hand and just accept that it's going to be an unpleasant experience. Anything you could do to make that stage easier would be appreciated.

The service is very convenient and the food is delicious. The portions are just right. The plastic seal is difficult to get off. What ever you do never get rid of the chicken southwest bowl.

I love freshly! I work 15 hours a day and his is the perfect time saver for me. No dishes, no groceries, no cooking! Perfect! More low carb options please

Tried all the others in shipment CRAP second steak was so bad!
Perhaps veggies or the accompianment wa good but entree was dried out like cardboard, hard to chew etc on every other one I tried

I love that my meals are healthy but some of the meals lack a bit of flavor. They can be a bit bland and I wish I knew how to add more flavor without adding salt or other ingredients that are not so good for you. For now, I'm content with my meals and they do taste fresh:-)

Our chefs offer some nutritious suggestions for adding flavor and spice!
I love to cook and so does my husband, but we both work and have teenage children, so time is of the essence. We don't eat the meals every night, but when we arrive home late, and everyone is starving, it is the perfect way to still enjoy time around the table instead of working as a short order cook!

Making dinner, even from meal kits, can be tough after a long day. There is always something more to do--laundry, kids, etc. The fact that we can have dinner quickly, with really fresh ingredients makes our evenings so much less stressful. We also often pack one for lunch, and they have breakfast too. Less stress... more happy.

The food is extremely convenient and I'm enjoying each meal I get however the variety is lacking. It's hard to get excited about the same thing over and over again. Week after week.
We had a chain in houston called "my fit foods" some of my favorites from them were green chile enchiladas or pollo adobe tacos. Would be nice to add some Tex Mex or more Asian flavors. Maybe flatbreads. Just more variety.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
